I'm awoken by obnoxious somehow extremely all on key voices singing to me as I lay in bed. I have to look like someone drug me out of a dumpster right now and I swear if any one is taking pictures I will pounce on them.
When my eyes adjust to the bright lights I look around my bed to see everyone trying to hold back their laughter. Cam, Leah, Ryder, Ty, Jake, and Michael Are all staring at me and I start to feel a bit self conscious. My eyes dart to my door way where I see Asher leaning against the wall looking like he just got out of bed but somehow he still looks gorgeously intimidating. Why can't I just get out of bed and look that amazing.
"Thanks guys, I love waking up at 6am to you all gathered around my bed. It's the best."
I say sarcastically and get up and head to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
I grab my tooth brush and put some tooth paste on it and start to brush my teeth. I look in the mirror and scream when I see my reflection.
"IM GONNA KILL YOU!"
I scream as I run out of my bathroom where everyone was all trying to get out the door at the same time.
"Don't you guys even think about leaving this room!"
I yell and they all stop and slowly turn back around towards me.
I can see there mouths twitching up as they take in my angry black covered face.
"What the hell is on my face."
I growl and they all start laughing.
"Uhh that would be ink, doing by your brother."
Ryder laughs as he gets a good distance from cam. Good idea. My eyes narrow in on Cameron who's jaw has dropped to the floor as he stares at Ryder.
"Traitor!"
"Nah cam, I've always liked Baylor better than you."
Ryder laughs as he winks at me and I take off sprinting towards Cameron as he sprints out the door.
I chase him out the apartment door and he presses the elevator button repeatedly but when he sees me coming he leaves and heads for the stairs. Shit. I'm already breathless when I reach the stairs and I go down two flights before giving up.
"Okay cam! You may be more in shape, faster, and more in shape than me. But I will get you back!"
I yell breathlessly while I pant for air. I'm too old for this shit. I need to get back in shape.
Not bothering to wait for him to reply I head back up the stairs and to the apartment.
When I get inside Cameron is standing in the dinning room eating an apple. How the fuck?
"How? I just- erghhhh!"
He pisses me off. He thinks this is funny. Standing there all smug eating an apple and laughing at me.
"Okay enough sibling shit open your presents and let's eat cake. Mainly the cake part."
Ty says as he hands me a gift bag and I give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Thanks ty."
"Bitch you haven't even opened it. I coulda took a shit in that gift bag."
I scrunch up my nose and move the bag a little further away from me and peak inside.
I pull out the tissue paper and blush when I see what's in the bag. I shove the tissue paper back over the box of condoms as fast as I can and give ty a dirty look as he busts out laughing.
"Thanks ty I really needed those."
I say sarcastically once again. This day is going to be filled with sarcasm.
"Read the card bay."
I roll my eyes at his amused voice and grab the card from inside and open it up to find a gift card to the movie store down the street for $50. Now that's something I'd use.
"Thank you."
I say serious this time.
I open Jake and michaels card that both held twenty dollars and then Ryder hands me a small gift bag.
"I hope you like my gift."
He says with a weird smile and I slowly open the gift bag and pull out a keychain and a gift card to chipotle. Well the gift card will come in handy.
"I love it. Thank you."
"I hoped you would. I hope you have a great birthday bay but I have to go."
He says and kisses me on the cheek. I wave byе to him along with everyone else as he starts heading for the door.
"Yea he's our ride so I'll see you bay. Happy birthday."
Michael and Jake say as they follow him out the door leaving only me Leah cam ty and Asher. Damn they couldn't even stay for cake?
"Alright here's mine... it's not much but ya know."
Cam say as he tosses me a pair of socks. Really cam?
"A pair of socks?"
I ask incredulously as I stare at the rolled up single opened pair of plain white socks. They aren't even in a package.
"Are these your socks?"
"Maybe."
Really. He gave me a pair of his socks?
"Thanks bub. I always wanted to have a pair of your used socks. I just love how much your feet stink and you know I have a foot fetish."
I tell him with such fake excitement and he rolls his eyes.
"Watch it or I'll take them back. I worked a lot of extra hours for those socks."
"Oh no! wouldn't want you to take these back."
I say as I jingle the socks up and down but then I hear something inside them. Wait a second did I hear that right? I slowly jingle the socks again and here rattling. I look up at cam as he stands there smiling at me smugly.
I unfold the socks and pull out a pair of keys?! No. Fucking. Way. My eyes dart up to cams in excitement and he nods at me and I take off running towards the elevator.
I jump in and everyone gets in the elevator with me as we head down to the parking garage. When the doors open Jake Ryder and Michael are waiting with their phones out presumably recording.
I click the unlock button on my car and I hear a ding and my eyes shoot towards a- a- small two door coupe and my body freezes. He didn't get me a coupe. He wouldn't do that. My heart beat increases as I stare at the car.
"Bay that's not it! I wouldn't do that!"
Cam reassures me as he grips my shoulder and I watch as an older man gets in the drivers door and I let out a breath of relief.
"That's yours."
He says as he turns me towards a matte black four door jeep. Holy. Fucking. Shit! I take off sprinting towards it letting out a squeal the whole way and I open up the door as fast as I can and get inside.
"Happy 18th birthday little sister."
"Cam, this is amazing. You did not have to get me a car! This had to be way out of your price range!"
"Bay. It's okay. I wanted to get it for you."
"Thank you."
I smile at him and he just nods. A moment passes by of silence until Leah speaks up.
"So are you gonna take us a ride in your new car!"
I can feel my throat constrict a little at her question and my hands tighten against the steering wheel.
"Why don't we go have cake first?"
Asher asks as he watches me, I feel relieved as everyone agreees and heads up in the elevator.
"We'll take the next one."
Asher tells everyone and ty and Leah smile at each other and right before the door closes ty shouts, "you might need my gag gift after all."
I mentally facepalm my self from the embarrassment that is my bestfriend, Tyler stone.
"What was the gift?"
Asher smirks and my face has to be even redder than it was.
"Nothing!"
I say and shake my head while he laughs.
"Okay, I know my gift isn't going to come anywhere close to cams... but here."
He says as he reaches in his pocket and pulls out a silver bracelet with multiple charms.
The middle charm I noticed right away is the august birthstone, kaylees. On the right side is a pair of foot prints and on the left side is a set of wings. Hanging on the end is a circle charm with an engraving that says, 'footprints on earth, wings in heaven.'
"It's beautiful."
I say staring at it and I feel a tear slip down my cheek. His thumb wipes it away and he tilts my face up to look at him.
"So are you, Happy birthday princess."
