Your voice carried through the apartment in sweet strings of melody and pitch, the actual words unimportant but the sound itself, mesmerising. He was hooked from the very first note, craving to hear more. Your sweet songs lured Steve from his place in the living room, causing him to abandon the newspaper article he had been so interested in reading. It now lay forgotten because of your siren-song.
He followed the sound until he came to the kitchen where you- his own mermaid- were busying yourself at the stove, making the whole process look as if you were brewing a magical concoction.
You could feel his gaze upon you, so you turned to face him, a smile upon your lips. Steve too greeted you with a similar gesture.
He walked wordlessly into the room, his socked feet padding across the hard wood flooring. Pit. Pat. Pit. Pat. When the spy had finally reached you, he leaned in close, almost as if he was going to kiss you but then he whispered in your ear. "You have a beautiful singing voice." suddenly he pulled away, a huge smirk on his face.
You couldn't help but giggle.
"What are you cooking?" he asked innocently.
As your lips parted to answer, he leaned in (like you had moments ago) and stole a kiss from you, his surprised sweetheart.
You responded to his gesture whole-heartedly, pulling him close to you. Your senses filled with his very being. Sparks flew as your passion was ignited. The blond lifted you onto the cooking counter, away from the choppingboard. Your legs straddled his hips as he kissed you further, his hands exploring your thighs.
You abruptly pulled away, cheeks flushed with desire. "The stew!" you cried, wriggling away from his embrace.
You hopped down from the counter and rushed to the stove, where you picked up a wooden spoon and began to stir the delicious smelling mixture.
Your lover couldn't help but chuckle, your priorities were truly in an odd order. Not that he minded, it was what he loved about you.
You sighed with relief, the stew was not ruined but beautifully caramalised. You noticed him gazing at you again. You began to laugh at your actions.
He took you in his arms once more, resting his forehead against yours. "You're so awkward."
"So are you." you giggled, tenderly kissing him again. You pulled away, leaving him wanting more. "I need to dish up dinner."
