Chapter 10~
Ya! Thank God it's Sunday!
Yeah. Sunday. Sunday agad, wala naman kasi masyadong nagyari kahapon except sa whole day naming pagt-text ni Luhan. Ay, nasabi ko. Aw. Anyway, tutal nasabi ko na din, yes we spent Saturday communicating to each other. Oo alam ko, off-limits na siya, pero I can't help it, ang lakas kasi ng gravity niya...
Nahihiya akong tanungin siya tungkol sa girlfriend niya, baka ano isipin niya. Baka isipin niya, patay na patay ako sa kanya at napaka-eager kong tanungin siya tungkol sa love life niya. Okay, let's move on.

When the mass is done, naglakad-lakad ako sa paligid ng simbahan, and there, I saw a very cute child. Ang porma niya kahit bata palang siya, tantya ko mga 8 years old na'to.

"Where is he?" Then he started to sob. Inakbayan ko siya at hinagod yung likod niya para mapatahan siya sa pag-iyak.
"I don't know...." He said in between his sobs.
"Don't cry, Aikee. Let's find your kuya, okay?" Tumango ang bata, pero bago muna namin hinanap ang kuya niya, binilhan ko muna siya ng cotton candy, he insisted to buy three na daw para daw saming tatlo. So, generous of him!
Inikot namin yung park sa may tabi ng simbahan pero di namin makita yung kuya niya, we decided to continue searching later kase we're both tired. Umupo kami sa bench, kinain niya pa yung isang cotton candy.
"Hala, pano na yan? Wala nang cotton candy si kuya ko." Malungkot na sabi ni Aikee. Naubos na niya kasi yung isa.
"It's okay baby, I'll give this to your kuya." Sabay turo ko sa cotton candy na hawak ko.
"Ate Franj, you are so kind. Can you be my ate? So that my kuya has a partner na. He's been sad since my other ate left him..." Malungkot na sabi ng bata. Aw, too young for him to know about that. I nodded to him para ma-ease ang pain na nararamdaman niya.
"Aikee!" Both of us leaned back to see who called Aikee.

Kai hugged Aikee saying, "Sabi ko wag kang aalis don e." Then Kai looked at me. "S-salamat." He stuttered. I lost words to say. Seeing Kai now is far different from the thug Kai in school, hindi siya mukhang thug ngayon. He's Kai without his famous eyeliner, a Kai without his black outfit.
He looks hotter with his casual attire. At oo, naattract ako sa kanya. Ofcourse, who wouldn't? Lahat ng girls dito sa park eh nagvvibrate na sa pagdating ni Kai. OMG!
"Kuya, meet ate Franj, ate Franj, this is my oh-so-handsome kuya, Kuya Kai." Aikee did the introduction. Hey, Aikee, kilala ko na yang kuya mong gangster 'no. But yeah, thanks to you, di pa pala kami pormal na nagkakilala.
"Hi." I said. Tumango lang siya. Talk to the hand!
"Kuya, can you buy more cotton candies? I was too hungry so I ate the cotton candy that Ate Franj bought for you." Sabi ni Aikee, kelangan sabihin yung 'bought for you'? Ugh! Napatingin tuloy siya sakin. My face turned scarlet red. Ugh, Aikee, don't provoke me. Anyway, little thing lang yun, di naman siguro big deal kay Kai yung pagbili ko sa kanya ng cotton candy e. Pati, Aikee insisted, its not my idea to buy him one. Hay, Franj, why so defensive?
Pupunta na sana sila sa may bilihan ng cotton candy nung magpaalam ako. I decided to visit the orphanage na nadaanan namin ni Baekhyun nung Friday tutal may kasama na si Aikee.
"I have to go. May pupuntahan pa ako." Sabi ko sa kanila. "Bye, baby boy." I told Aikee as I brush his hair.
"Where are you going ate Franj? Go with us please?" He said pleading.
"Aikee, may pupuntahan pa siya. Next time nalang." He said tapos binuhat niya si Aikee at tumalikod na.
Okay, talking about manners, Kai. =____=
Off I went. Dumeretso ako sa grocery para makabili ng candies para sa mga bata. I feel like doing charitable things, feel ko kasi kasama ko si mama kapag kasama ko yung mga orphans. Mom and I are fond of children.
Nung nakapagbayad na ako sa counter, lumabas na ako bitbit ang dalawang malaking plastic bag. Okay, Franj, you forgot, wala ka ng sasakyan! Feeling! Hala, magcommute ka.
Yeah. So ayun nga, magpapara sana ako ng taxi para makapunta sa may orphange nung biglang may tumawag sakin.
"Ate Franj!" Narinig ko ang matinis na boses ni Aikee kaya't napalingon ako. He rushed over me. "Where are you going?"
"Sa orphanage.." I answered.
"Hatid ka na namin." Kai said. But before I could refuse, hinila na ako ni Aikee papasok sa kotse.
Hinatid nila ako papuntang orphanage, Aikee was so talkative and I gradually became fond of him. Di siya nauubusan ng sasabihin. Ang cute niya talaga. Kai, iwan mo nalang kami ni Aikee haha. Mas okay pa kasama kapatid mo kesa sayo eh.
Lol. When we entered the orphanage agad akong nakipagcoordinate sa mga admin, pagtapos ay nakibonding na rin kami sa mga bata, Aikee was so happy. Kai, though he's not that expressive, I can say na masaya siya sa ginagawa niya ngayon.
I sat in one of the benches. Iniwan ko muna sina Kai at Aikee na nakikipaglaro sa mga bata. Then, a girl approached me.
"Boyfriend mo si Kai?" She asked. Napatingin ako sa kanya. Oh, this lady. Gondo.
"Huh? You know him?" I said making her nod. "Di ko boyfriend si Kai."
"Buti nandito siya?"
Imbes na sagutin ko siya, I asked her back. "Buti kilala mo siya?"
"Kilala mo si Tao?" Nanlaki ang mata niya. She asked. Ay ate, ano 'to? Sagutin ng tanong ang tanong?
"Hm. Yung EXO-M?" Tumango ito. "Why?"
"Kumusta siya don?"
"Still the gangster Tao. Why?" Ate please lang, pansinin mo naman yung 'why' ko =___=
"Can you do me a favor?" She asked.
"Unless you tell me your name." I said.
"I'm Muecan." She extended her hand.
"Franj here." I accepted it. "So, are you involved with them?"
"I'll tell you if you will do my favor." She said. Ugh! Persistent much?
"Spill it."
"Can you please look after Tao? I heard that you were the only one who can stop them from fighting.. Please Franj, please?" She said as she bowed playing with her fingers.
"Why Tao?" I asked.
"He's my boyfriend. Ah, no, he's not my boyfriend anymore. I broke up with him since he involved himself in this fight..."
"Do you still love him?" I asked, I received a nod from her. "Why don't you see him?" This time, she shook her head.
Kinwento niya sakin yung dahilan ng break-up nila. I know this is odd, telling your problem to a stranger, but she didn't mind it. Tingin ko nga, mas nakatulong pa ako sa kanya. Seems like she's keeping it for a long time, at ito lang ang oras niya para may mapagsabihan sa mga dinadaanan niya.
Muecan's family is religious. Yung mom niya ay sponsor ng orphanage na 'to. Bale sinusupport nila yung mga pangangailangan ng mga bata. Yung daddy niya ay pastor, si Muecan naman ay nag-aaral sa isang exclusive school for girls. She said that her parents don't like Tao for her kase nga naging gangster ito, that Muecan's too good for him, di daw sila bagay. Disagreeing, Muecan choose to be with Tao pero kinalauna'y nakipaghiwalay na rin siya nung nagkasakit yung mom niya. Her mom asked her to break-up with him, though she's against it, she did, all for her family. It's the most painful decision she ever made. Torn between your lover and your family?
"Muecan, your love story doesn't end there. You have to make a move, if you truly love him." I said.
"Thank you, Franj." She hugged me. Then, we exchanged numbers. I'm willing to help her. I love happy endings, you know. That's why I want to be with my mom, mom is the most amazing part of the epilogue of my life.
Sakto namang dumating yung dalawa, we decided to go home. Kailangan nang magpahinga ni Aikee, its a long day for him. Nagpaalam na kami sa kanila, kids gave me a warm hug, I assured them to go back, Kai and aikee promised them, too.
Nagpaalam na rin ako kay Muecan, my new friend. She's such a lovely girl; she even gave me a crucifix necklace.
On our way home, nagyayang kumain muna si Kai and Aikee said na sa jollibee daw kami, gusto daw niya ng chicken joy.
He ordered for me. Nung nilapag na niya yung pagkain sa harap ko, nginitian niya ako. First time. Ang ganda pala ng ngiti niya.
"Kain ka na." He said to me. Ngumiti na din ako, nakakahawa. Mukhang masaya ang gangster ngayon ah?
After we ate, nagpahinga muna kami. Si Aikee naglaro muna. Naiwan kami ni Kai.
"Franj, thank you." It is so not him, a gangster thanking me?
"For what?"
"For making us this happy. Di ko alam na masaya pala yun." He said.
"You're most welcome, Kai."
Silence filled the space between us. This is such an awkward moment, sinusundan lang namin ng tingin si Aikee habang naglalaro siya.
"Franj..." He called me, making me look at him. I raised my brows, "Nanliligaw ba sayo si Luhan?" This question of him was unexpected, why asking all of a sudden?
"H-hah?"
"A-ah, w-wala." Nag-iwas siya ng tingin, his ears turned red, Bakit ang cute magblush ng mga lalaki?
Di na niya ako kinausap hanggang sa mahatid na niya ako sa bahay. Mas naging awkward ang sitwasyon. Pero bago pa ako bumaba sa kotse niya sinagot ko yung tanong niya.
"Hindi nanliligaw si Luhan sakin, Kai." I said.
Lumabas na ako ng kotse, he did the same.
"Thank you." I said, paglabas ko. Nasa harapan na ako ng gate.
"Thank you din." He said as he flashed his smile. "Sana maulit."
Lumawak ang ngiti ko, "Oo ba, basta hindi ka na makikipag-away." I said making the ambience friendly.
He shook his head at my response. "Yan yata ang di pwede, Franj." He pat my head. "Pero seriously, you made me happy. Seems like, I'm going to break our bro code for the second time..."
Huh? Di ko narinig yung last niyang sinabi, he didn't say it clearly. All I was heard was the 'second time.'
Before I could get back to reality, he was inside the car waving at me, he then started the machine and drove off.
Hinatid ko siya ng tanaw, hanggang mawala na ito sa paningin ko. I was still remembering what he had said nung nagvibrate ang phone ko. I received a message.

'I saw you. Nanliligaw ba sa'yo si Kai?'
Two boys on the same day asked me the same question but of different names. Ang ganda ko pala. Lol.
Luminga ako sa paligid. Pero di ko siya makita. Nandito lang yun, sure ako.
Nagvibrate ulit ang phone ko.

I did what he said, humakbang ako ng lima. But before my right foot could end its fifth step, I felt someone hugged me from behind.
"Ang sakit, Franj." His voice was half-broken. I turned to face him, I cupped his face, and his eyes met mine.
"Why?"
"It hurts to see you with him. Franj, akin ka nalang..." dinikit niya yung noo niya sa noo ko. Naiyak ako. Ugh! Franj, ang babaw mo!
"Ang selfish mo." I said as a tear streamed down my face. May girlfriend ka tapos gusto mo sayo din ako?
"Please..."
"Pero, m-may girlfriend ka na Luhan. This is wrong, so wrong." I said shaking my head. At last, nasabi ko na din 'to.
Please lang Luhan, don't make things hard for me. Okay na ko sa nararamdaman kong ito para sayo, wag mo nang lalimin pa.
He cupped my face, too.
"Who told you?" Nag-iwas ako ng tingin. Ayokong sabihin sa kanya kung sino nagsabi, baka lalong magkagulo. "Franj, look at me." I obeyed him. His eyes were undeniably awesome, they are sparkling..
"Wala na akong girlfriend... wala na..."
