Chapter 6
Ryder POV
I woke up next to Ronnie, I looked around his room. It was a forest green with dark furniture, I looked at Ronnie who was sleeping like a baby, thank the goddess it's a Friday! I woke Ronnie up and walked to my room and changed into sweats pants and a big purple sweater on top, I put on my converse and grab my bag and phone. I head down stairs and I saw Hazel eating breakfast and Raymond next to her
"Morning, Is Hazel going to the Academy?" I asked
"Yeah, and She's going to talk to the alpha about the rouge attack and is going to school with us because the alpha is at the academy" he said
"Are you serious? is he really there today?" I said with my heart pounding, the memory came to me when he pulled me to his hard chest and his scent was like a drug
"Yeah, so we.......me and our brothers might have him for lycanthrope class" he said and I growled angrily
"No, you mean we because I said I'm going whether he likes it or not" I said and walked to car and waited for my brother and Hazel
They got in the car and Hazel looked scared, I put my hand on her forearm "it's okay, don't be scared, if you want we'll all go with you" I told her
"Can you?" she pleaded and I nodded, she looked calm when Raymond put his arm around her shoulder. I smiled and I looked out the window, I wondered if I can fit inside my mates arm.......but I will never have the experience. I shrugged that thought off once we arrive at the school
"Hazel wants all of us to go with her to see the Alpha" I stated and they all look at me
"Is that what you want Hazel?" Raymond asked her and she nodded "please, I don't feel safe when all of you aren't there" she said and he nodded
We got out the car and Richard was looking at a group of pretty blondes " hey Ardy, you wished you had those babe" I said jokingly
"Oh shut up Dee, you wish you had a guy like me" he laughed and I rolled my eyes and smiled we walk in a group , I felt nervous to see the Alpha. Every step I take I feel even more nervous to see him, I hated the fact that he was my mate. Why couldn't the moon goddess gave me a mate that was a protector? Raymond stop and I bump into him
"What the hell?!" I said Raymond was looking at Hazel, she looked scared
"Hazel, what's wrong?"he said and she swallowed a lump in her throat "what if the Alpha kills me?" she said he growled
"He won't, I promise you that. If he does-" Richard interrupted him "we'll defend you" she smiled and nodded
We all went to the office to get her schedule and locker. She had all of Raymond's classes of course but I didn't care unless she was safe I'm okay, I realize that I was Turing into my brothers. I think I'm being over protective on Hazel, I smiled because I know what my brothers are feeling.
"Okay guys, I'm going to class bye" I said and they all nodded, we said good bye and I walk to my class ignoring every girl that was talking bad about me.
Time was going really fast, I felt like I took five minutes in history and four minutes in algebra. I was in Spanish with my brothers and Hazel, I was doing my work and then I realize I had two more minutes until class was over.
'Hey Raymond mind if Hazel goes with me to the library?' I mind link him
'Yes! I want her in my watch and I want both of you to eat properly' he said
'We will, she under my watch and I won't let her out of my sight' I said
'I don't know' he said unsurely
'Ask her if she wants to' before he could answer back the bell rang, I got up and walked out the class, I waited for my brothers to get out and they all looked at me
"You guys have free period after lunch so she'll do it then, for now I want both of you to eat properly" Raymond said I smiled and nodded He actually still is protective of me, he still cares! I was so happy that he still has time to care for me and his mate .
We got to the cafeteria and I saw Omar sitting where we usually sit, My brothers were talking to his friends on the table and Raymond would talk to her when they didn't talk to him but other than that hazel, Omar and I were talking non stop. lunch was over and I wanted Omar to come too
"Hey Omar, hazel and I are going to the library wanna come?" I asked
"Sure" he said and we all got up and headed out the cafeteria, I felt a hand grabbing my arm. I look to see who it is and it was Raymond.
"Don't let her out of your sight, and protect her with your life" he said
"I will, Christ you act like I'm going on a mission" I told him and I laughed but he look serious
"Please I don't want her to get hurt" he said and I nodded "she will be safe, believe it or not I am over protective of her too." I admitted and he looked shock, he nodded and I walked over to Omar and Hazel
We were in the library doing work and Hazel was reading about fighting tactics, I looked at Her and smiled
"Why are you reading about fighting tactics?" I asked her she look shy to answer
"I want to learn to fight but I know the rank I'm in they just going to train me to help the injured" she said sadly my smile got even wider
"You want to learn to fight!" I almost shouted but Omar slap my arm "ow, that hurt" I whispered to him
"Yeah shut up before you get us kick out" he said and I nodded, I turn to Hazel
"I can teach you, I would love to teach you" I told her and she frowned " would Raymond let me?" she said and I smiled
"He would be the one who would want to train you, but he would definitely want to train you." I said and she smiled.
The class was over and Omar and I walked Hazel to her class, she said good bye and I walk Omar to his class
"Looks like you got a new friend" Omar teased
"Shut up, she happened to be my older brother's mate" I said and he laughed
"So if you don't protect her, he'll kill you" he said
"Well duh!" I pushed his shoulder playfully, we were at his class and I said bye to him and I ran to my class, I changed into my training clothes and I walked into the gym. Thankfully I wasn't late, my brothers were there and I walked over to them. they were warming up and were using the Olympic weight set.
"So I have good news" I said to them and they all looked at me
"I thought you were-" I growled at Rylan but he stood shut. I took a couple of breaths to calm myself down.
"Hazel wants to learn to fight and I volunteer to train her" I said and Raymond growled angrily
"No! I'm not letting her train to fight" he said
"Why not? its best for her to do it, what if she's alone and Some is going to attack her?" I said
"She won't be alone because I will always be with her" he said his eyes were black and were filled with anger, this didnt surprise me he acted like this when my father was teaching me to fight. He didn't want me to get hurt during training but I didn't.
"No you won't, She should learn to fight. What if your out fighting rouges and a rouge happens to come to her" I said I felt my eyes Turing black
"That's not going to happen" he growled I took a step forward and all my brothers were holding me back, only Richard was hold Raymond back.
"One day it will, and it will be all your fault!" I shouted
"I will always be there to protect her! I am not letting her get hurt, she is my responsibility. I am the oldest and what I say goes" he said
"Well if your not going to train her then I will" I said and he was losing control, Ronnie went to Raymond to hold him back
"Think about her Safety Mondi" Richard said to him, Raymond eyes turn to his regular violet eyes. He looked at Richard an then at Ronnie, they took a step back and walk to me because I was still mad.
"Dee calm down, Remember what happen to Hazel. He just doesn't want that to happen again" Rylan said and somehow I relaxed, I felt my eye become violet. Raymond stared at me
"Fine only if I train her" he said and I nodded
"I'm sorry , I was only thinking about myself. I didn't think of you" I whisper and Raymond hugged me
"It okay, Christ , youre turning into us, you are over protective with her" he chuckled and I laughed, we went back to warming up with all the trainees staring at us.
The bell rang meaning that our class is starting, Beta Sam walked in and every trainee sat on the bleachers, The beta saw me and smiled.
"Alright Guys, today we're going to do something we have been doing before, we're going to run three miles" he said and I heard everyone except my brothers and I , groan. Before we all stood up the Alpha walked in furiously, My heart started to pound and my hands sweating. He glanced at the crowd and his eyes met mine, I averted my eyes and I glance at my brothers
"What is going on?" I whispered to Rylan, he lean towards me
"I don't know" he said and I looked at the Beta and The Alpha, they were talking about something and The beta nodded and looks at me
"Ms. Morris please come over here" he said I groaned and I walked over there quietly. Every step I take I got even more nervous, I hated that my mate was the Alpha. I hate that he made me feel this way
"Yes Beta Sam" I said bravely, ignoring my nervousness. The beta looked disappointed and the Alpha looked mad, but I wasn't scared whether he was.
"The Alpha said you belong in Medicus" Beta said
"With all due respect, Beta but I don't give two flying fucks on where he puts me because I'm not going there, I work hard to get into this rank" I said and the beta looked surprised, I glanced at the Alpha and he got mad
"I put you in that rank because I don't think your strong enough to be in this rank" he said as if he care about me but I growled angrily
"I am strong enough and if you don't believe then let me fight one of the strongest trainee here" I said and he smiled wickedly
"Alright but the trainees are too easy, you will fight me" the Alpha said I froze, my face was expressionless. May I remind you that he is Kayden Bennett? one the youngest and undefeated alpha in the world? Not country but the WORLD! and he wants me to fight him?
"I may be cocky but I'm not stupid, I said a trainee." I said and the beta smirked
"She isn't that cocky like most trainees" he said to the alpha and gently elbowed his arm
"Don't worry, I just want to see what your capable of. If you can take me down then i'll let you stay in this class" the alpha said
"How would I know that you might go easy on me?" I said and he laughed, I can listen to that laugh all day, it was so cute.
"I won't trust me" he said and I stared at him, Can I do this? should I? I hate this, I hate him for putting me in this position. I bit my lip and I can't be in Medicus so I guess I have to.
'Lola you better help me in this battle' I said mentally to her 'I will, I promise.........plus I want to kick his ass for putting you in medicus' she said
I nodded "Alright, I'll do it." I said and walked to my brothers and they looked at me like I'm crazy
"What was that?" Rylan asked
"The Alpha challenged me, and I accepted the challenge" I said an they all looked shocked
"What? No are you crazy? do you know who he is?" Ronnie said
"No, I don't. I just thought I am strong enough to beat the Alpha of one of the strongest pack" I said sarcastically
"You are not fighting him" Raymond said
"It's too late, plus all I have to do is just take him down and I stay here" I said and I but my lip, what kind of mate make them battle eachother! I walk to the center of the gym . I didn't show any fear because that would show my weakness, I would never show my fear to anyone but my family. The beta was giving us rules, and was telling the trainees what was going to happen.
Everyone was cheering for the Alpha, my brothers were sitting down quietly. I bit my tongue to prevent me from biting my lip. We got into our fighting positions and The beta blew the whistle. He ran towards me and I dodge him, He smirked and he did it again but this time I wasn't fast enough to dodge it and he carried me by the neck and threw me to the floor. I got up and ran towards him and I was going to punch him I the face but he grab my fist and threw me to the floor again but this time hard, I groan, the air came out of me. I no longer had the strength to fight but how? I had never experience this kind of pain before I usually win my battles, but I was afraid I might lose this one. I got up ignoring the pain in my back and I ran to him but he put me into a full Nelson
"Ready to give up?" he said he sounds like me in a fight, no wonder we're mates, we sound just like eachother in fights!
"You wish" I said he lifted me up and drop me to the floor, I groan in pain, I realize that If I don't say 'I surrender' then I will be in serious pain but that's what he wants, but if I'm in pain it'll also make his suffer in sorrow but either way I will lose but I'm not letting that happen, I only had I one fighting tactic left. I was trying to listen and hear his movements, like what my Papa told me.
'You are blind when you fight' he said 'papa I can see my opponent perfectly fine' I said to him I was fighting Rylan and Raymond was helping Rylan train 'yes you can but your mind plays tricks with your sight, that why you must use your three sense Touch, smell and your hearing . Feel the vibration of him moving, Smell to see how close he is and hear his movement.' he said
I felt the vibration from my feet, I can smell him being so close and I can hear his movement, I closed my eyes and I can see the everything, just like my papa told me. I wasn't blind anymore I have the sight, I heard him running towards me and I smelled his beautiful scent becoming stronger and stronger, I punched his stomach hard and I felt him taking a few steps back, I ran towards him , my eyes still closed, and I drop kicked him. I didn't hear or feel him fall to the ground but I knew he was shocked, I ran toward him and punch him in the face hard. That when I heard him shift, his bones cracking and braking, I didn't want to shift but I heard him running toward me and I dodge him. He ran to me and I ran toward him, I lifted him up by grabbing his neck and I drop him to the floor. I took a step back and I opened my eyes, I saw him on the ground and every one was quite. they were staring at me with total shock, I ran to my brothers and I hugged them all.
"You did it" Rylan said I was in the middle of our group hug and they all surrounded me
"You did good little sis, you did good." Raymond said
"I only did what I was train to do" I said and smiled thank god that's over, the pain was coursing through my body. I didn't have enough energy left, I didn't show my pain but they all pulled away and I jump on Rylans back, he carried me. I saw the Alpha shift back, He was naked and I couldn't help myself but look at his ass, but when he turn around I saw his manhood. I looked away, creep out that I saw his. He was talking to the Beta and one of the trainee gave him basketball shorts.
"Ryder come here" Beta Sam said we ( me and my brothers) walked over there, Rylan still carrying me
"I said Ryder" he said
"If you talk to me, you talk to my brothers too" I said and he nodded
"Where did you learn to fight like that?" he said
"My father and my brothers, sir " I said proudly and he smiled, I couldn't tell what the alpha was feeling but his face was very hard to read
"Very well then, How would you and your brothers feel about becoming a Protector soon?" he said
"We would love that!"i shouted
"II'll talk to your father but for now you can go home" he said
"But the alpha needs to talk to my mate" Raymond said and he nodded and pointed out the door
"Wait by my office with your mate" he said and he nodded, we all walked say on the bench by the betas office and Raymond went to get Hazel. I couldn't believe that I took the Alpha Down, Was he going easy on me? Did he? ugh! if he did that I will kill him in his sleep! I didn't want to see him or talk to him. I was so nervous on seeing him, I hated that so much. Hazel and Raymond came back holding hands, I smiled wishing that was me. A blonde woman walked out the room and she look beautiful, she had brown eyes and a nice body, she looked about twenty.
"Alpha Kayden is ready to speak to Mr. Morris and his mate" she said in a perky way, we all got up and she frowned
"Uh I'm pretty sure he wants-" I interrupted her "we're the morris' if he wants to talk to both of them then he'll talk to all of us, it's just how we roll" I said and she nodded, we all walked in and he looked at us
"Why isn't it just the two of you?" The Alpha asked
"She won't speak unless we're all here, Alpha" Raymond said and the Alpha nodded, Hazel looked very nervous and Raymond was still holding her hand.
"Tell me why those rouges were after you and why they were in my territory" the alpha said with the beta standing next to him
"His name was Kevin Santiago, he was my first crush and I didn't realize that He was the way he was. Someone told him that I liked him and he went up to me and he started to flirt with me, We talk for a month and I thought I love him. So he told me he's leaving the pack and wanted me to go with him, of course since I was a fool I said yes. I didn't know he was kick out the pack and became a rouge with a few other wolves, so he started to become aggressive with me and broke my arm. I know he'll hurt me again so I've been running away from him for about.........four months and he caught me, he said that we were mates but I knew we werent, so I tried to run away but he started to hit me and Ryder and her brothers came to save the day" she said and hug Raymond, the Alpha had a blank face on.
"Alright, Samuel go find out why he was kicked out and everything about him.If im correct that is your mate so she can be in this pack and So you people, may leave" the Alpha said and we walked out "except for The Morris girl" he said I growled and turned around
He said something to Beta Sam and he left the room, we were the only ones in the room and I tensed "I was every impressed with you today" he said I stood quite, I didn't want to speak to him
"I underestimated you, I apologize for what I did" he said sadly
"With all due respect but I don't need your apology or anyone else's" I said to him, he walked closer to me and I took a step back
"Ryder, I really am sorry, I just want whats best for you" he said I shivered once he said my name
"w-whats best for me? for what you dont have to care about me" i said and he kept walking closer to me and i kept taking a step back until my back hit the wall.
"You are my mate, so I have to care about you." he said as he place his hand on the wall and next to my face, his 6'6 body towering over my 4'11 body. His scent hit me again. His free hand cup my cheek and his thumb was caressing my cheek, the tingles shot through my cheek which caused me to flinch.His beautiful chocolate brown eyes were staring at my body, I was going weak, but how? I had never felt this weak, This couldn't be happening right now........Damn it! Stay strong Ryder, Stay strong!
"are we done here? I have to do something and its-" he kissed me before I finished my sentence. Sparks and tingles. That what I felt when he was kissing me, I didn't kiss back because I was too shock to realize what happened. He bit my lip, I couldn't comprehend what was happening. I heard him growl angrily, but he just kept kissing me. Once my body realize what was happening I pulled away from him and look at him with total shock.
"I-I have to go" I said and ran out before he spoke to me, I walked outside and I saw Rylan's car was gone.
"Shit! this can't be happening!" I said to myself, I wanted to mentally kick my self. I just wanted to home, but I didn't want to walk or run home. I sat on the sidewalk and looked at my hands, I tried to replay the kiss in my head. How can something so beautiful be so horrific and a nightmare? I put my hands in my head, geez did I make a mess
