Clarys POV:
We arrive at the Institute and I have to say it looks different in the daytime.
It also is very beautiful and it makes me want to sit down and draw.
My stomach turns as I remember that I can't do that right now have more important things to worry about...
"Clary are you okay?" Simon asks me
"Er- yeah" I say
"How did you know that was going to happen?" jace says accusingly to Sebastian.
"Jace" I say
"It's okay they were going to find out sooner or later" Sebastian says
"Wait, is it safe to talk to here?" I ask
"Of course it's safe" Alec says rolling his eyes.
"Can we sit somewhere this is going to take a while" I say rolling my eyes back at Alec
"Yes let's go to the library" Isabelle says
Jace grabs my hands and leads me towards the library.
"Where are your parents?" simon asks
"Running errands, They'll be home later... And we can talk to them about you guys staying here" Alec says looking at Magnus.
I see Magnus wink just as we reach the library doors.
Sebastian's POV
We get to the library and we all sit down, I see that simon grabs Isabelle and they sit together smiling.
"Eww, I guess were over" I say to my self
"So..." jace says rudely.
Clary shoots him a stern look and he shruggs.
"Alright, so as you all know... clary is special"
"Like mental?" Alec says
"Ya know I wasn't really sure-" simon starts saying but Isabelle smacks him.
And clary smiles.
"Not that kind of special, she's gifted, and so am i"
"So you can see the future?" jace asks
"No, I get visions of when we will be invaded or in danger" I say
"So that's how you knew they were coming" simon says
"Yes" I say
"So why didn't your gift help you last night?" Alec asks
"That's the thing, when I get them when I'm sleeping they give me really bad headaches and a bloody nose and it's hard for me to wake up in time."
"So that explains the blood and why you were knocked out" Isabelle says
"You wore yourself out because you knew they were coming for mom and Luke"
"I guess, but you know I can't remember the visions I have when I'm sleeping"
"I know, and if I would've been home I would've seen you sleep walking " clary says
Jace looked sad when she said that.
"It's not your fault it's mine I should've told mom what Craig said"
"CRAIG!!!!" Clay shouts
We all look at her like she's got mad.
"We need to talk to Craig he can help us" she says
"That's a great idea, I don't know why we haven't thought of that before oh that's right because we can't go back until Monday" Alec says
"They said we couldn't go back to school not that we couldn't go back to Idris" jace says
"I'll try to ask Aline help us get in contact with him" Isabelle says
"I can try to do a locator spell on your parents " Magnus say
"What?" I say
"Just trust me, don't worry about the little details" he says
"So what do we do now?" simon says
"We wait for Magnus and Aline" Jace says and clary rolls here eyes at him and he smiles.
"Fine" clary says
Everyone leaves and it's just me and clary and jace.
"So what else can you do?" jace asks me
"I'll show you someday" I say
"Yeah, sure..." He says
"Did you sleep with my sister?" I ask him
"Sebastian!!" clary screams, I ignore her.
Jace looks at clary and then back at me.
"No I haven't" he says
I start laughing... "come on, try again and maybe you'll even believe it"
"You can believe what you want but, we didnt" he says
Clarys puts her head in her hands.
He looks at her confused.
"I told you I'd show you someday" I say grinning.
"Your an ass bass" clary says
"Wait what?" Jace asks confused
"Jace, I can tell when people are lying" I say
He looks stunned.
"I can even make people tell the truth, against there will, without moving a finger" I say and smile.
"I don't believe you if that were true you would have used your powers against Aline and not clary" he says
I focus on him and use my powers on him. His face strains as he tries to fight my powers off.
"Yes we did" he says grunting
"Did what?" I say being a dick
"Bass!" clary yells
"Slept together" Jace says grunting and breathing hard.
Clary stands up and put her hands out in front of her and pushes the air and I fall backward.
Jace tries to relax, "clary what was that?"
"Just bass being a dick" she says
"No, I mean what you did?"
"Oh, it's a rune I made, it gives me more power, like a warlock" she says
I stand back up.
"That wasn't very nice little sister"
"Niether was, what you did" she says back.
"Seriously if you could use that why didn't you use it on aline?" Jace asks
"Because we couldn't risk it, Clary was showing her skills if I did it too we would become more noticeable "
"And like yourself, some people can try to fight it, and that would be a red flag" clary says
"And what's so bad if people find out?"
"They will kill Clary and I or drag us to our father which would be worse"
"Or the clave can use you as a weapon" Magnus says walking back into the library
"Or that" clary says
"Did you have an luck, with the spell?" jace asks
"No, I need something of theirs" Magnus say
"We have to go back, and we can get clothes" clary says
"Absolutely not clary" jace says
She rolls her eyes and is about to say something.
"He's right, you shouldn't go... I'll go"
"I'll come with you" jace says
Clary pouts, and says "your not going to know what clothes I like"
"I'll just pick out what I like" jace says grinning
"Think of it as a bonding experience, the two boys in your life, getting to know each other" I say
She looks at Jace and he nods "Fine" she says.
"Great we leave in 5 mins" I say
Clarys POV
"I can't believe you guys won't let me go" I say
"You need to relax, you were injured last night remember?" he says and leads me to his room.
"I don't like this" I say as I sit on his bed.
"We'll be quick and back before you know it and then it'll be just you & I on this bed doing....."
He says and then kisses me. I kiss him back but just for a minute and then pull away
I smile and sigh "I'll be with Isabelle" I say before giving him one more kiss and leaving his room.
I start walking down some halls and realize I don't know where i'm going so I turn around and go back to Jace's room but he's already gone.
I have an extreme urge to go through his things. But I would be mad if he did that to me. So instead I lay on his bed and try to go to sleep.
Isabelle's POV
"I need attention to Isabelle" Simon says pouting on my bed.
I keep pacing back-and-forth while I text Aline.
"She's just so.. ugh" I say rolling my eyes
"So let's forget about her" he says
"Simon we need her help" I say giggling
"So why don't you tell her that it's a favor to Jace?"
"Your brilliant simon!" I say
"So can I have some Isabelle time now?" he says and wraps his hands around me from behind and puts his head in the crook of my neck and whispers
"Please?"
His breath on me makes me shiver.
I throw my phone on the ground and slowly turn around in his arms and wrap my around his neck as soon as his lips touch mine which sends a fire through my body.
Jace's POV
We go through the portal and end up in the portal room again.
We check the entire house to make sure there's no one here and there's not.
We go into their parents room and it's destroyed.
"You can tell they put up a fight" I say
"Yea, that's for sure" he says back
He starts look for something of there's for the spell. I look around the room and am checking out the pictures.
Clary obviously resembles her mother, they both are small and petite with red hair.
I go to the next one and it's of their patent when they were young with there friends. I look at the peoples faces and stop dead in my tracks
"What is it?" bass asks, seeing my expression
"It's my father, & the lightwoods" I say pointing.
"Woah, that's freaky" he says
"Very" I say
"Bring, it with us" he says
"Okay, I'm going to go get clary some clothes" I say
"K" he says
I go into Clarys room and I see her suitcase in the corner and I throw it on the bed and open it, I run to her closet and grab her a couple pairs of pants. Some shirts and hoodies. I grab her some art supplies and lastly some lingerie. I don't really pay attention, I just keep throwing things in her suit case.
"I think you got her enough" bass says and walks into his room. I close her suitcase and follow him.
"So, about clary..." he starts
"Is this where you tell me, I'll kill you if i hurt her ?" I ask sarcastically
"Sort of, but just know that my sister means everything to me and I will kill anyone who mistreats her." he says nonchalantly
"Got it, and no worries... I love her" I say thinking about her.
"Good! and don't get her pregnant either" he says
"I would make extremely attractive kids, but I'm not ready for that" I say
"Good" he says as he finishes packing "let's go" and we make our way to the portal.
We land back in the foyer and everyone is there except clary.
"Where's my sister?" bass asks
"I haven't seen her, we thought she went with you?" Isabelle says
"She told me she was going to hang out with you" I say
"We'll she didnt" simon says
Bass looks nervous.
"Don't worry, she's here somewhere, no one could have taken her" Magnus says
"What makes you so sure?" Bass spits out
"I put wards up" Magnus says nonchalantly looking at his finger nails.
"Oh" bass says
"She's probably in your room jace" Alec says
Bass's hands turn to fists
"I'll go check" I say and start heading out.
"Don't take too long mom is on her way" Isabelle says
"We need to talk before she does" bass says
"I'll be right back then" I say
I run to my room and find clary asleep on my bed, curled up into a ball.
I lay down next to her, and brush her hair out of her face.
I stare at her in complete awe.
"Clary," I say after a couple mins
"Mmmm" she mumbles and snuggles closer to me.
"Clary... wake up" I say running my hands up and down her side.
"Mmmmmm mmmmm" she mumbles
"Clary, do I have to tickle you out of bed"
Her eyes shoot open "I'm awake, let's not make any rash decisions" she says and stretches.
"Good" I say
"I missed you, why'd you take so long?" she says now hugging me.
"I'm sorry, and we had to search your entire house and that alone took forever" I say and roll my eyes
she giggles, and says "i felt the same here, I couldn't find Isabelle's room"
"That explains it, and no biggie... As long as you know where my room is" I say winking at her.
She blushes and gives me a kiss on the cheek.
"But come on, we need to talk to everyone" I say
She pouts but gets up and stretches and I take that as an opportunity to pull her agaisnt me and put my arms around her.
I bend my head down at the same second that she stands on her tip toes and we kiss. I could stay this way forever. Passion and love glowing between us from every part of our bodies.
We pull apart when my phone vibrates, it's a text from Alec saying
"Hurry now child, I can only hold Sebastian off for so long"
With that we head back to them, hand in hand.
"Thanks for getting my stuff" she says smiling.
"Anything for you" I say winking, just as we reach them.
