Annas POV
The day after Ellen, (today) Harper and I have a photoshoot together, I thought it would be nice and Kim wants some for some things. I talked to Abby at ALDC and she allowed for Harper to have the rest of the week off. We both get up at 11 am and shower. We are out the door at 12 and arrive at our location at 12:20. It is a simple photo shoot, we have three outfits each. My first one is high waisted shorts and a tight long sleeve top and chucks, Harper is in teal ripped jeans and a white flowy shirt. We had a lot of fun, and we both got individual photos in both outfits too. My next outfit is a short t-shirt dress with ankle boots and Harps is a white, tight crop top and denim overalls and chucks. Our last outfits are slick. Mine is a tight, leather full-length bodysuit romper thing with a deep v-neck cut and medium height chunky-ish heels. Harper wore a deep purple top with cuts on the side tucked into black leather pants with spiked ankle boots. She looked really cute. When we finally got home, we watched our ellen episode and a movie. We went to bed at 12 am. The next day was really relaxed for the MTV's the next day. I wrote a small speech in case we won. (as if).
---THE NEXT DAY----
I woke up really early (for me) at 6 am that day. Harper was passed out so I went for a walk around the block to get rid of some nerves before tonight. When I got back, Harper was in the shower, singing to Shawn Mendes so I made some waffles. Harper came downstairs in her robe, Jackie and Jaelyn would be here in 2 hours so there was no point getting changed. "Morning beautiful," I say, pulling my daughter to my chest. "Morning," She says. She takes a seat at the island and quickly eats her waffles. "Whats the rush?" I ask, laughing. "I want to finish my guitar recording. It's the last part of my song." She says, mouth full. "Ok. Jackie and Jaelyn will be here in a couple of hours so good idea. Have you thought about what Ellen said? Recording a song together. I think it would be cool if you're up for it?" I ask. "Yeah, I thought it was a good idea too. I thought of some songs we could do." I was honestly surprised she had thought about it. "I thought We don't talk anymore, See you again, Say something or Someone like you," Harper suggests. "Damn. Those are all really sad songs. I thought maybe, something a bit happier?" I say. "I thought maybe an acoustic version of One dance? That would be cool." I say, wanting to change her mind. "Oh yeah! That would actually be really cool! I can work out the guitar and it would be really cool if we harmonize!" She says excitedly. "Sound good. We'll have to do it next weekend, you have school to catch up on and dance. Now go record and I'll shower." She nods. I have a great jam out session to Selena Gomez in the shower and an hour and a half later, Harper is done with her recording and Jackie and Jaelyn has arrived with our outfit choices. The first one for me is a really tight red dress that fans out at the bottom, the next is a strapless, gray dress with minimal rose gold sequins the last one is a light pink dress. I chose the gray and rose gold one, I liked the cut at the back, it was all crossed. Jackie matches it with pale rose gold shoes. My hair is tied up into a high pony and smokey makeup. "Anna, I want to wear your cinderella shoes tonight," Harper tells me. I was really happy. "Good! I'm excited to see them on you!" I say. "Well, if she's going to wear those, there is only one dress that will match," Jackie says, pulling out a cream colored skater dress that goes off the shoulder. "That's so pretty! I love it." Harper says, taking it from Jackie's hands. Harps runs upstairs and comes back down wearing it, a box with the shoes in it in her arm. "You already look great babe!" I compliment. Harper pulls out a chair from the table and sits down and slips the shoes on. "They are a bit big." Harper looks at me. "Ok. That's ok. I have a trick." Jackie says. She pulls out a box of tissues and stuffs the toes so they fit Harper perfectly. "You are amazing Jackie!" I say thanking her. Harper goes over to Jaelyn who makes her hair wavy and puts on some makeup. By the time we were both done, it was time to go. We were waiting for Britt to come. She was taking Harper home before the after party. 20 minutes later, She arrives looking great. "Hi Honey! I missed you!" Britt says, pecking me on the lips. "Harper is upstairs in the bathroom. She looks great btw." I tell my girlfriend. "Have you told her about us?" Britt asks. "No, I said we will wait until after tonight." I say. "Ok good." Harper comes down and is excited to see Brittany. "Hey, hun! You look stunning!" Britt tells her "Thanks!" We head to the door where outside, a limo is waiting.
Harpers POV
When we are getting close to the venue, I see a long line of more black limos that are filing around the block. The driver pulls up into the line. "Harper, we'll follow you out of this door, then we should get escorted to the red carpet. You can walk with me but there will be some times where you just step to the side. OK?" Anna asks me. "Sounds good." The door closest to me is eventually opened and Anna and Britt follow me out. A man in a black suit says to follow him. We reach some stairs, leading up to the red carpet. Britt is told to go wait at the other end of the carpet. Anna goes first, then I follow her, taking the man's hand, helping me up the stairs. On the opposite side of the carpet, are fences and behind the fences are piles of people holding cameras, lights flashing and people yelling at people poses to do. Anna takes my hand, I trail behind her, we stay close. Annas doing her mysterious sexy red carpet face, and I smile with my mouth closed, moving my head to one side slightly, towards Anna. Every now and then, someone calls me to go stand with them while Anna has photos by herself. Towards the end end of the carpet, are people holding microphones with cameras, the people are waiting to interview people. Someone comes up to Anna and I and tells us which ones to go to. The first one we are lead to is ET. The person interviewing mainly is talking to Anna. "So, Anna, this must be your daughter everyone is talking about!" She says. "Yes, this is Harper." The microphone is put up to my mouth. "Harper, how is all of this excitement for you?" The lady with too much makeup on asks me. I have a split second of freak out but then pull myself together. "I really like it here. It's cool to see everything so differently than just photos of celebrities." I reply. I hope was ok. "So, can you to tell us what you are wearing tonight?" The lady asks. "I am wearing a Chanel dress. And Harper is wearing marc jacobs." Anna tells her. I didn't know I was wearing marc jacobs so Anna said it. "Harper, do you want to tell everyone about your shoes?" Anna asks. The camera is pointed down to my feet. "Yes, these are my mom's shoes from Into the Woods she gave them to me," I say proudly. "That is very special and those are stunning shoes!" The lady exclaims. The interview goes on with Anna, talking about her nomination. After that one, there are a few more, I just talked about my outfit and shoes. We were finally told to go inside, where we were seated in the third row. Zac is already sitting there next to Jake Szymanski (The director.) "Hey hun! How are you?" Zac asks Anna. "Great thanks. This is Harper, who I told you about." She tells him. Zac stands up. "Hi Harper, nice to meet you, " He says. "Hi, nice to meet you too," I say, blushing. Zac Efron is way hotter in person! He is super hot! Anna takes a seat next to Zac and I am on her other side, there are still chairs next to me. I wonder who will be sitting there? For the next ten minutes, Anna is talking to the people around h and sometimes introduces me. I met Emily Blunt - which was awesome! I got a photo with her along with Charlize Theron, Jenifer Lawrence, and Auli'i Cravalho, who plays Moana. We also saw the PLL cast again and the Game of Thrones cast, where Anna and I had a small freak out. When the show was about to start, Justin Timberlake came up to say hi and I was quietly freaking out. "This is Harper, my daughter, " Anna says. "Hi, Harper. I'm Justin." He says, putting his hand out. "Hi. I love your music" I say kind of sheepishly. "You did well Kendrick!" He says to Anna, talking about me. "Aw thanks, Timberlake. We'll catch up soon. Ok?" "Sounds good". The seats next to me are still open, I'm still wondering who is sitting here. I decide to Snap chat this. I take a photo of the stage. When I look up from my phone after posting it, I see The Emma Watson coming into our row! What!?? That is insane. I love Emma Watson. Behind her is Dan Stevens. When Anna sees them, she stands up to greet Emma. "Hi, Emma! It's great to see you. And you look amazing!" Anna says. "Aw thank you, Anna! So do you!" She says I love her accent. "Emma, this is my daughter Harper. And from what I know, she is a big fan!" Anna tells her, semi-whispering the last part. I stand up, a bit embarrassed. "Hi, Harper! I'm so glad to meet you." Emma says. "I'm really happy to meet you!" I say as she gives me a hug. Anna somehow got my phone off me and is taking our picture. I was smiling so big. It was so cool! "I hope it's Ok that I am sitting next to you for the night." Emma says in her cute accent. "That is definitely alright! I wouldn't mind at all!" I say overjoyed. Before the show starts, a loudspeaker welcomes us. Then, Adam Devine (the host) is on the stage. There are so many people and when All Time Low performed, I almost cried, but I wanted to stay cool sitting next to Emma. The awards finally started, all the winners definitely deserved it, Millie Bobby Brown, Moonlight, Cash me outside... Between the ad breaks, Emma would talk to me, about dance, music and how I like it here, she is so sweet! I felt like we had a really close bond already just from the every few minutes we could talk. Eventually, it came to the movie of the year award, the nominees were Get Out, Logan, Rogue one, The edge of seventeen and of course Beauty and the Beast. The tension was insane, I could feel it coming off Emma as we waited for the winner to be read. "And the winner is.... BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!" Everyone was cheering, the cameras were all around the row. Everyone was hugging and Emma even hugged me. I felt really special! The entire cast went on stage and Emma said the speech on behalf of everyone. A while later, the nominees for Best Kiss award were read out. Beauty and the Beast, Moonlight, La la land, Empire and Mike and Dave need Wedding Dates. I held Annas hand while we waited to hear the winner. "Ladies and gents, I would like to announce that there has been a tie!" Everyone gasped. Anna grabbed my hand harder. "So, I would love to say, the two winners of The Best Kiss are... MIKE AND DAVE NEED WEDDING DATES AND BEAUTY AND THE BEAST!!!" Oh. My. God! I can't believe Anna won! I give her a really big hug and Zac gives me a high five. Emma also gives me a hug and takes my hand, Anna takes the other and they lead me onstage with them! I stood at the back of the group while everyone had a turn talking. Once we left the stage, everyone was escorted to get photos taken. I stood on the side. "Harper, come in with us!" Emma says. I run in and somehow end up in the middle. It was so cool! "Why don't we just stay back here. There was only like one award left" Anna suggests instead of going back inside. "Sure!" Emma says. Anna then leaves me with Emma to change into her after party outfit, Zac and Dan are in their own conversation. "Harper, I really like you, your super cool and I loved meeting you." Emma tells me. " Thank you. I loved meeting you too, and sitting next to you, definitely, it was a dream!" I exclaim. "Why don't we catch up more often? I would love to see your mom more, we are pretty good friends..." "I would love to!" I say excitedly. She asks for my phone and she puts in her number. I was really happy. I made the contact picture one of us when we met."I'll text you sometime." Emma says. "Ok cool. I will too." I say, giving her another hug. Anna comes back wearing a deep emerald green dress and black heels. "You look great!" I say. "Thanks, what did you do while I was gone?" Anna asks. "Harper and I exchanged numbers, I would love to meet up with you guys sometime" Emma informs Anna. "Cool! Same here. I'll let you know what we are doing."
