~Hong Lei's POV~
I felt something drop on to my face, was it rain? Then a beautiful melodious voice that was like the crackling of stepping on fresh snow.
"Please...I beg of you wake up..." An irrefutable voice pleaded, so I could only open my eyes and I had to see the owner of such a voice. He was beautiful, my savior in white was utterly beautiful. A refreshing and quiet beauty between beautiful and handsome like winter. It was a man in all white, slender high bridged nose, pale skin like the moon, and a slender and small face with long inky black hair and matching eyes that was as if it could see through my soul. Most people would want to get away from those eyes, the eyes that only allowed the truth, eyes that saw through lies and knew all my secrets, eyes that caused fear, eyes that isolated people, eyes that would cause someone to scream monster...But if that was what it took to make the person those eyes belonged to be mine it was worth it, as I wanted to be the one that see's through his eyes.
I snapped out of this daze with him suddenly grabbing me and crying. When he finally stopped his long elegant fingers, still beautiful despite calluses caressing my cheek.
"Hong Lei thank God your fine!" He said with relief in his lovely eyes.
"My name is Hong Lei...?"
"Yes...You are the current reigning Emperor." He said his face back to ice.
"That can't be!" I exclaimed with a laugh, it's a horrible prank. If it were someone else and they returned and believed they would have been beheaded.
"No, I'm not joking." He said, his expression unchanging. I was starting to think the display he put before me was a hallucination.
"How do you..." Slightly weirded out.
"You can never really hide your emotions from me on your face." I bet those eyes can see through me...I'm not as scared or as uncomfortable as I thought.
"It's not possible then you wouldn't be able to closely call me by my name." I explained my reasoning.
"No...You preferred me to call you by your name because... Because I saved your life before and you then appointmented me as your private... Physician." He said hesitated...I could tell he was hiding something...My heartached at the thought that he couldn't trust me...
"What about my Golden dragon robes then?" I asked.
I kept staring at him and then he broke off the eye contact by looking away. His face blank, but somehow the tip of his ears were a beautiful pink, like a flower petals.
"It is wet and ripped from the fall of the cliff your majesty..." He said respectfully, his response to the first questions was probably right as it felt wrong for him to address me so formally...
"Your majesty! Imperial Physician Yun Xu! We finally found you! Thank God your okay!" One of the soldiers I suppose said.
So he wasn't lying to me...
But what was he hiding from me...

I finished Ten Miles of Peach Blossom lately, it's amazing! Also I found this make up tutorial by this Chinese cosplay channel I subscribed to that makes ancient Chinese themed tutorials.
Ugh I'm late...I planned to update this on the 26th as it was my birthday...But votes as late bday presents.
