One Week Later:
"Yeah, I get my permit next month, it's about time-" I heaved, "About time I-" I gagged, vomit coming up, I rush to the bathroom and opened my mouth, vomit coming out, then more vomit. "What the shit?" I ask myself vomiting again,
"Babe you okay in there?" Carl asked, knocking on the door,
"Yeah-Yeah I'm fine," I say before vomiting again, I wipe my mouth and look at myself in the mirror, "It's just a stomach bug," I reassure myself. I open the door to find Carl watching me worried, "I'm fine babe, I'm going to go brush my teeth."
Two Weeks Later:
I missed my period again, shit. I grab the pregnancy test I had brought two weeks ago after convincing myself it wasn't a stomach bug. I open the box and pee on the stick, now I had to wait for five minutes, this stick this fucking stick would change my life depending on the results. I paced the bathroom, sitting on the edge of the tub, playing with the promise ring Carl brought me a few weeks ago before we had unprotected sex again. I checked my phone, it had been seven minutes since I peed on the stick, I couldn't look at it, I flipped it over and wrapped it in toilet paper, I took my phone and dialed Carl's number, "Yeah, Carl, can I come over?" I smile as he calls me baby girl, I hang up the phone and shove my phone into my back pocket, rushing out my house. I run into Carl's house, he stands in the kitchen, holding a piece of bread in one hand, a knife with peanut butter on, "Carl?" I gasp, I rush to him and hand him the stick,
"What's this?"
"A pregnancy test, Carl, I think I'm pregnant." Carl looks at me and unwraps the stick, he stares at it, then looks back up at me,
"What do the double lines mean?" My heart dropped,
"Positive, I'm pregnant."
