You yawned as you sat up from sleep, then stretched your muscles and rubbed your eyes.

You looked over and saw Ghirahim was still asleep, you couldn't help but smile at the fact that he was still there.

You quietly wriggled out of your sleeping bag and grabbed some things to get ready for the day. You grabbed a dark red long-sleeved shirt and dark blue jeans, (~No surprise there~) and made your way to the bathroom.

After you were done your shower you changed into your clothes and went out, Ghirahim was still asleep like he was before.

You decided to walk over.

You peered over, then stopped.

The game box from before was beside him.

You looked to see Ghirahim's sleeping face was looking quite sluggish, he didn't look like he was waking up very easily.

"He must've looked at the box for most of the night..." You thought and shook your head sadly as you grabbed the game box.

You knew you couldn't go anywhere without Ghirahim, so you were pretty much stuck as far as attempting to get rid of the box went.

You decided to hide it in the drawer of your desk, afterwards grabbing your laptop and phone, then sitting down on your sleeping bag.

You went to Facebook. Marie, Josh, and Isaac were all having a conversation in the group chat you all made. You noticed that it was nearly one in the afternoon, you must've overslept a bit.

'Yay! (Y/n)'s on! :D' Marie said.

'It's about time.' Josh added.

'Were you guys waiting for me?' You wrote and sent to the chat.

'Yeah, we wanted to let you know we have some really awesome plans for tomorrow night, we're gonna take a trip around the entire city and go to this awesome party that's gonna be thrown at the plaza after that!' Isaac answered.

Your eyes widened.

'That sounds awesome!' You said.

You regretted sending the message afterwards as you remembered something.

What were you going to do about Ghirahim?

You weren't able to leave him in your room, he would be sent flying to wherever you were according to him.

You decided to just hope for the best.

'Totally awesome! :P' Marie agreed.

'You're definitely gonna be coming with us, right?' Josh asked.

You paused before touching the keyboard.

What if you couldn't?

You didn't want to lie to your friends again, but you didn't want to disappoint them by saying no either.

'I might have something come up that'll stop me, but fingers crossed!'

'Something come up? Like what?' Josh inquired.

'I can't say, it's a personal problem.' You tried to make him stop pressing you, but with Josh being the nosy and stubborn kinda guy he was, he wasn't gonna give up that easily.

'Oh c'mon, we're your friends, you can tell us anything!' He persisted.

'He has a point, you can tell us!' Marie joined in.

'It's *really* not something I wanna talk about okay?'

'Why not?' Josh continued.

'Same, why not?' Marie chimed in.

Why did they want to know so badly??

You were about to just close the page, but Isaac's sudden message made you pause.

'Guys STOP! If (Y/n) doesn't want to talk about it she doesn't have to! Sheesh! When did this become an interrogation?? She was just saying she may or may not be able to come along, that's *all*! So just drop it!'

You smiled.

Isaac was always there when you needed him to back you up, he was like the older brother you never had.

'Okay okay! I was just a little curious! Yeesh!' Josh defended.

'Oops... sorry (Y/n)! :c' Marie apologized.

'It's okay.' You responded.

'I gotta go, talk to you guys later.' Josh said after a moment.

'Me too, bye guys! xD' Marie added.

In the blink of an eye both of their names lost the green dot, meaning they went offline.

You were about to get out as well, but again Isaac made you pause.

'You okay (Y/n)?'

You smiled and wrote back: 'Yes, thanks for helping me. :)'

'Anytime. :) I'd better get going too, see you later okay?'

'Okay.'

After that, Isaac too, went offline.

You closed up Facebook and looked at some YouTube videos in hopes of relaxing.

"Not the best way to start the day..." You sighed shakily.

After about 20 minutes, you could hear Ghirahim shuffling around in his bed, yawning a bit. His body jerked in shock after a moment, probably because the game box was no longer beside him.

"I thought I told you to forget about that box for the night and sleep." You said in disappointment, closing the laptop and setting it beside you.

Ghirahim froze at the sound of your voice.

He turned and had a surprisingly guilty look on his face.

"I'm sorry... I tried, I truly did, but..." He trailed off.

You motioned for him to come to you, and he hesitantly got out from your bed. He snapped his fingers and his once disheveled hair was back to it's usual, elegant look, and his clothes were no longer wrinkled.

He sat down in front of you cross-legged, not looking at you.

"How long did you stay awake?" You asked.

Ghirahim was quiet for a moment.

"I'm not sure, but I do believe the sun was just beginning to rise before I fell asleep."

"Why did you stay up so long?"

"I couldn't take my mind off of that box with Skychild's picture no matter how hard I tried. I was completely restless..."

"Why?" You tilted your head.

"I..."

Ghirahim paused and gave a tired sigh while hanging his head low.

"My mind has been racing with so many unanswered questions, I can't find anything else to think about anymore..."

You felt unbearably guilty.

"I'm sorry... maybe I shouldn't have told you--" Your apology was cut off.

"No, I'm very grateful you told me the truth, there's nothing to be sorry for."

You weren't sure what else to say, so you stayed quiet, looking down.

"I just don't understand why this has happened.." Ghirahim spoke after a few minutes, making you look at him, he was looking down like you were, seemingly thinking aloud.

"Why did I end up here? How am I here if all I am is a work of fiction? Why do I exist here, in a real world, if the world that I come from is nothing more than the works of humans? It just doesn't make any sense..."

You couldn't respond, no matter how much you wished you knew the answers, you really didn't. You let your head fall again, not knowing what else to do.

You heard the small shuffling of cloth, then felt Ghirahim's gloved hand under your chin, he lifted your head up to look at him, and you realized he had moved closer to you. His dark eyes bore into yours, and you couldn't help but be entranced by them. You were surprised you didn't feel yourself blush.

"But you... you're real. This is the world that you come from, a reality far more advanced than what I thought was my own. Your existence is not false, nor the result of another's imagination. You're a real, one of a kind, existing human being." He seemingly said to himself, his gloved hand cupping your cheek gently.

He suddenly pulled his hand away with a slight jolt, a sudden look of panic in his eyes. "I-I'm sorry, I don't know why I did that." He stammered, backing away from you back to where he was before, keeping his head low.

"It's okay, I didn't mind." You said softly.

He turned his head to you. "You didn't?"

You shook your head.

He didn't say anything after that, he seemed to go back to thinking again.

----*~Timeskip~*----

You and Ghirahim ate some of the leftover Pizza for breakfast since you both were hungry and you didn't feel like making anything. After that you got your laptop out again, Ghirahim was curious so you let him watch what you were doing. You just watched some random videos and whatnot, but he seemed intrigued nonetheless.

"This thing called 'the internet' is quite the spectacle." He commented after a bit. He was watching with his head over your shoulder a little, it was pretty cute.

You soon came across the Legend of Zelda section.

"Is that what you told me I come from?" He asked. You nodded.

You clicked on one of the videos, it was the Twilight Princess game.

"Twilight princess..? I've never heard of such a thing." He furrowed his brow.

"Well, this one was made before you were, so you wouldn't know about it." You told him. He hummed in response.

It showed the scene in the game where Link withdrew the Master Sword from it's pedestal. Ghirahim watched closely.

"The Blade of Evil's bane..." He whispered.

After the video ended, you scrolled down to look at the others, there was one titled: 'The first meeting', in Skyward Sword.

"'Skyward sword', is the one where I come from, correct?"

You nodded once again.

You knew he was interested, so you clicked on it. The video showed Link walking a few steps into the room where the very first boss battle plays out within Skyview temple, then he is stopped by a sudden shining gold light. When the light faded, the Ghirahim of the game stood before him. Ghirahim gasped in shock slightly.

The Ghirahim in the video did what he regularly did, used his sword to nearly strike the door that blocked the way out, but the sword disintegrated, then he spoke.

'Look who it is...' The text read.

The in-game Ghirahim turned, revealing his face. Your Ghirahim watched in silence, staring at the him that was in the video.

'I thought that tornado I stirred up would have tossed and torn you apart, yet here you are. Not in pieces.'

He turned himself away again.

'Not that your life or death has any consequence.'

'It's just the girl that matters now, and I can sense her here... just beyond this door.'

'Yes, we plucked Her Majesty from her perch in the clouds, and now she's ours.'

'Oh, but listen to me. I'm being positively uncivil. Allow me to introduce myself.'

'I am the Demon Lord who presides over this land you look down upon, this world that you call the surface. You may call me Ghirahim.

'In truth, I very much prefer to be indulged with my full title: Lord Ghirahim. But I'm not fussy.'

Link unsheathed his sword after the text stopped, the sound of metal bounced off the walls briefly.

'Did you really just draw your sword? Foolish boy.'

The in-game Ghirahim turned around, facing you.

'By all rights the girl should have fallen into our hands already.'

He bent over a little and moved his fingers around creepily, the light in the room flickered eerily as his speech seemed more agitated.

'She was nearly ours when that loathsome servant of the goddess snatched her away.'

'Do you have any idea how that made me feel inside?'

He then flailed his arms around making shouting noises, putting emotion into the words that appeared.

'Furious! Outraged! Sick with anger!'

He vanished, causing Link to look around him in shock and unease.

'This turn of events has left me with a strong appetite for bloodshed.' The speech continued.

Ghirahim re-appeared, walking up from behind Link, when he reached him he put his head on his shoulder nonchalantly, almost like your Ghirahim was doing to you. He startled Link, making him stiffen up.

'Still... it hardly seems fair, being of my position, to take all of my anger out on you.' 'Which is why I promise up front not to murder you...'

'No... I'll just beat you within an inch of your life!'

With that, his long tongue shot out like a snake, causing Link to gasp and give a face of disgust. He wriggled out from under Ghirahim and took his battle stance.

The in-game-Ghirahim gave a long chuckle, then outstretched his arms as his cape disintegrated into nothing, his upper body being fully revealed. With that the screen faded to black and the video ended.

"I can still remember that time... only I saw it with my own eyes and not from a 'screen'." Ghirahim said.

You sighed through your nose a little, unsure of what to say.

"Well, at least I don't have to deal with the humiliating process of being beaten by him in those battles of ours." He added, rolling his eyes.

You absentmindedly leaned your head on his shoulder catching him off-guard, but he didn't move away. "That's true, I never did like those parts of the game." You mentioned.

"Really? But isn't it the player's mission to defeat me?" Ghirahim seemed surprised.

"Well, yes, but I still don't like beating you, you're my favorite character in the game."

He went silent again, but for some reason, he let you keep your head on his shoulder.

After a little while you decided to go outside for a  bit. Ghirahim changed himself into Griffin and you made sure there your stuff was put away and kept your phone in your pocket.

You both left the hotel and walked along the sidewalk, not really saying anything to each other. Then out of nowhere, someone slammed into you, knocking you down to the concrete as the person kept running.

"Oww..." You groaned in pain. The ground was pretty hard and scratched up your face a bit.

You felt two hands quickly but gently pull you from the ground up to your knees.

"Are you alright?" Ghirahim asked in shock and concern, inspecting your face carefully with one hand.

"I'm okay, my face just stings a little." You mumbled, rubbing your cheek a bit.

Ghirahim scowled in the direction of whoever it was that was running, muttering something to himself that you couldn't quite hear.

Ghirahim brought you up to your feet, brushing small rocks and dirt off of your clothes for a minute. You once again felt his hand, only this time he held your cheek and caressed your skin with his thumb.

"I was worried for a moment there, I thought perhaps that man would have hurt you far worse than simply knocking you over." Ghirahim said quietly, a look of immense concern on his face.

You smiled a little, feeling happy that Ghirahim was actually concerned for you.

Eventually you both walked to the park and sat on a nearby bench.

You looked at Ghirahim and noticed how interested he seemed to be.

"This place... it's very peaceful." He said, looking at you.

You nodded and said: "It sure is, it's one of the quietest and most pleasant spots in town."

He eyed some of the common birds that flew around searching for food, watching them as they occasionally skipped their way along the ground.

"Those birds... they look much different than the ones in the 'game'..." He mumbled.

"Hm?" You looked at the birds. They looked like they usually did to you, but in the game you remembered they were much more colorful.

"Well, there's lots of different kinds of birds actually." You mentioned.

"Is that so?" He seemed curious.

You nodded in reply.

For some time you both sat together in silence, Ghirahim seemed to be lost in his thoughts like before, leaving you unsure of what to say or do next.

Well, that was until a voice caught your attention.

"Hey! (Y/n)! What's up!"

You looked and saw none other than your old middle-school buddy, Kyle. Kyle was about a year older than you and he was a pretty kind and playful kind of guy. His short hair was dyed a dark green and his eyes were a light brown. The last time you saw Kyle was when he graduated since he was a grade ahead of you, so you were excited to see him again.

"Kyle! It's been forever!" You smiled happily, standing up from the bench as he walked up to you and pulled you into a big hug.

"You've gotten so tall! When did you start growing up on me??" He asked with a playfully shocked tone after he pulled away, putting a hand on your head. Back in school you had yet to really start growing, almost everyone in your class was taller than you.

You just laughed with a shrug.

"Oh, hey, who's this?" Kyle pointed over to Ghirahim, who you hadn't noticed was watching you both with an unreadable gaze.

"Oh, this is Griffin. He's a friend of mine I made recently, he's also very new around here." You told him.

"Cool! Name's Kyle, nice to meet ya!" He smiled, offering his hand for him to shake.

Ghirahim was quiet for a moment before he gave a small smile in return and stood, accepting his hand.

"Nice to meet you as well." He said softly.

The two shook hands briefly then pulled back, then Kyle wrapped his arms around your shoulders and whispered in your ear.

"Is this guy... y'know... your guy?" He asked slyly.

It took everything in you not to flip out and yelp a loud 'No!'.

Instead, you gave him a look while shaking your head, then brushed him off. Kyle laughed in response.

"By the way (Y/n), you going to the big party tomorrow night?" Kyle questioned after a bit.

You thought for a moment, could it be the same party the others were talking about?

"Maybe, why?" You tilted your head, Ghirahim giving a similar look.

Kyle gave his signature grin with a wink, crossing his hands behind his head.

"Weeeeeeell... my big bro is actually the one throwing the party. It would be awesome if you came and got to say 'hi' to 'em. I know you and him don't really know each-other that well, but I'm sure he'd be happy to see you anyhow."

Kyle's older brother was a guy named Ethan. He was about seven years older than Kyle and was usually a pretty busy man. You had only met him once or twice back in middle school when he came to pick Kyle up, so you didn't really know much about him. Kyle didn't like taking the bus much, but he would sometimes since he didn't want you to get lonely. Marie and the others all went to a different school back then, so Kyle was pretty much your only friend until high school, due to the fact that you were very shy back in those times.

"Really? Awesome! I'll be sure to say hello to him if I go." You smiled.

"Great! Oh hey, you should come too, Griff! It'll be pretty epic!" He added, elbowing Ghirahim playfully.

Ghirahim seemed a bit intrigued by Kyle's behavior and the way he shortened his name. He smiled and did the same action, saying: "I'll look forward to it then.", making Kyle grin a bit wider.

"Sweet! I'll see you two tomorrow night!" He cheered happily.

Kyle gave you one last hug, then ruffled Ghirahim's hair, afterwards he ran off.

Ghirahim huffed a tad as he fixed his hair.

"Now what did he go and do that for?" He asked, obviously a tad unhappy about his hair being messed up.

You giggled. "Don't take it the wrong way, he was just playing around."

Ghirahim just huffed again, making you laugh briefly.

Well, it looks like you'd be going to the party tomorrow night after all.

...You just hoped that for Ghirahim's sake he would be able to blend in.

(~Boo! ^*^~~Good grief, I really need to work on keeping focus. o*o; I'm truly sorry these updates keep taking so long, writer's block is such a demon. But I've managed to make a new idea that will keep things interesting for the moment, I just hope that the people who were reading this book didn't entirely give up on me yet... x*x;; Well, that's really all I have to say, but I truly am sorry for the delay, I hope this chapter will at least somewhat make up for it. See you!~)

(~I apologize if there are any misspellings or parts that don't make sense, I'll go back and fix them if there are any.~)
