Toby once ran into his mother once while finishing up a job. He'd gone completely still, just staring at her. She of course did the natural thing when you see someone covered in blood, she called the cops. They arrested Toby, but he didn't put up a fight. He just stayed completely still, vacant-eyed. He didn't respond when Masky and Hoodie came to rescue him either. He didn't speak for another three weeks, and just stayed holed up in his room. By this point, everyone was very concerned because they didn't know what had happened. Several others were planning on holding an intervention, when Toby spoke 4 words:
"She didn't recognize me."
