I Am No Hero (DoTA Fan Fiction)

Prologue

There were ashes and ruins all around him. His mind was spinning, his body was aching and his inside was fueled with anger and frustration. Not towards his enemies but only towards himself. He wished he was stronger. He wished he was faster. He wished he was not lying there on the ground, trying hard to push himself back up to his feet. The pain he felt was enormous. This was his first encounter with Akasha, but he totally get why they called her the Queen of Pain. The wave that hit his body sent a shock to every inch of his body. He could feel the blood in his vein boiling and running faster throughout his body as he fell helplessly to the ground. The sound of Akasha’s evil laughter went piercing through his ears. He knew he had to get up but the pain was stopping him from doing so. It was unbearable. The flashes of light were blinding him. The debris from the fire and explosion around him made it difficult for him to breathe. Everything was a downward spiral from that moment on. Maybe this was it, his hunch told him. Maybe after all, I am no hero.
