I was back in cellblock C. Daryl and Dad didn't want me to come with them. They didn't trust those guys. Well, Dad was thinking if the guy continued hitting on me that Daryl would definitely lose his shit
I looked around and walked into Hershel's cell "he better?"
They shook their heads. I sighed and noticed that Carl's missing.
the backdoor of the cellblock was a bit open. I ran upstairs took my knifes, walked back downstairs and walked through that door.
I whispered "Carl"
It was dark und creepy.
I heard groaning next to me and killed that walker. Then i felt a hand on my back. Good that i heard his voice or else there would be a knife stuck in his skull.
Me "You little piece of-!"
I grabbed his forearm and shoved him back into that cellblock.
Carl " Keni"
I locked the door and yelled "mom!"
Then I walked into Hershel's cell, pissed off "Guess, where this little fucker was !"
Glenn asked confused "thought you were organizing food?"
Carl smiled"even better"
He threw his bag on the ground in front of them "check this out"
Carol asked shocked "where did you get this?"
Carl "from the infirmary. wasn't much left but i cleared it out"
Mom sucked in a breath "you went by yourself?"
Carl nodded "Yes"
Mom snapped "are you crazy?"
Carl shrugged "Wasn't a big deal. I killed three walkers"
Mom was holding her shit together "Do you see this? this was with the whole group"
She pointed at Hershel.
Me "I found him on his way back. Noticed that the back door was open and a walker on its way"
Carl "we needed supplies so i got them"
Mom "i appreciate it but-"
Carl snapped "Then get off my back"
I snapped "Carl!"
Then I grabbed his forearm and pushed him back out with me "Listen here, little brat, You can't talk to mom like, got me?"
Carl asked irritated "What's the big deal? I helped"
Me "You want to help? fine. But don't ever dare to not tell us were you are going! let alone leave alone!"
Carl said proudly "i killed three walkers on my own"
I shook my head "you should not feel proud of that, bro. They were human once. It is not supposed to be fun killing them "
Carl snapped "Well, you did the same with Shane!'
I raised an eyebrow "Low Blow, Carl. You wanna be an adult? then fucking act like one! What do you fucking think would've happened if you got bit? hm?"
He looked down.
Me "Answer me, Carl!"
Carl yelled "i don't know! "
I nodded "exactly! you don't have any idea! "
Carl "You are going out there without getting hur-"
Me "Because i've been alone before! Carl! Remember? i was lucky that Merle and Daryl crossed my way and took me with them!. I've been out there alone. I know how to defend myself !You don't! And for you to bring up Shane again is fucked up. Honestly, fuck off !"
Suddenly Mom came "Kendall, enough!"
I glared at her.
Mom" give us a minute, please"
I raised an eyebrow at her and stormed outside and to one of the watchtowers. I walked upstairs.
I screamed out frustrated, leaned against the window and slit down the window.

I heard someone walking up the stairs. I took my knife out of my boot.
The floor door opened and Daryl climbed up.
I stood up and walked to the window "I wanna be alone"
He nodded "Gonna tell me what happened? I heard you scream"
I shook my head "He'll never forgive me, Daryl"
Daryl asked confused "Forgive you for what?"
Me "the whole Shane thing. He thought i had fun ramming a knife through Walker!Shane's head"
Daryl "did you?"
I sighed "i've known that guy since i was toddler, of course i didn't like ramming a knife through his skull. But i didn't have a choice"
Daryl put an arm around me and pulled me to him.
I shook my head "Bringing it up like that in a fight with me. I can't fucking believe it"
Daryl squeezed my hip a little "It's alright. Calm down"
I shook my head and looked at him.
Daryl "He'll come around"
I nodded "let's hope that"
Then i looked out. It was already dark.
Me "Well, i'm sure as hell not gonna go back inside in the dark"
Daryl put his crossbow down and laid down. He put one arm back so that his head was lying on it. I laid down next to him and put my head on his chest.
He put his other arm around my shoulder.
Me "Daryl?"
Daryl "hm?"
Me " Were you jealous?"
Daryl shook his head "nah, didn't like the way that guy looked at you, let alone talk to you"
I giggled "Well, i didn't like him at all. He's not my type, never was, never will be"
Daryl" Good, because he's dead"
My head snapped up to him and i asked carefully "Daryl, what did you ?"
He raised an eyebrow at me as he looked at me" I didn't do shit. He killed one of his guys and then the other guy killed him. "
Me "who didn't see that coming?"
He chuckled.
Then everything became silent.
