"She had a another nigga in my house!" I said pacing back and forth in Pepper's living room. "A old ass nigga at that!" I said as my fist balled up.
Pepper just sat on the couch sipping her tea.
"All this time I thought she was being faithful to a nigga." I said as thoughts ran through my head.
Pepper still didn't say anything. She just continued to sip her tea.
"Are you even listening to me Pep?"
"Yea." She said.
"Then why you ain't saying shit!"
She sighed. "Because I knew."
"So you knew she was cheating on me the whole time while I was in jail and you didn't even bother to tell me!"
"Ace it wasn't that serious."
"Fuck you mean it wasn't that serious!"
Pepper couldn't even her words out.
Abby came down the steps with red eyes indicating that I woke her up with all my yelling.
"Ace?" She said shocked to see me.
"Did you know?" I asked Abby.
"Know what-"
"DID YOU KNOW LAUREN WAS CHEATING ON ME!?"
Abby sighed. "Yea."
"Fuck both of y'all." I said and started walking to her front door.
"Daddy?" I heard.
I turned and saw Lexi standing the top of the stairs.
"DAD!" She yelled then ran down the steps over to me, almost knocking me down.
"Oh my gosh I can't believe your here." Lexi hugged me hard. "I missed you so much."
I hugged her back. "I missed you too."
"Can we go home now?" She looked up at me.
I sighed. I really wasn't trying to go back home right now. I didn't even want to look at Lauren.
"Please dad?"
"Yea. Go tell your brother to come on."
"Yay. Okay." She said and ran back up the steps.
"I'm sorry Ace." Pepper said.
"Whatever man. Your fake as hell for this shit. And you are too." I looked at Abby.
A couple of minutes later Luke and Lexi came back downstairs.
"Wassup dad." Luke said giving me a manly hug.
"Hey son."
We walked outside and got into the car. I started driving back home.
"Aye um... ya mama ever had another man in the house?" I asked Luke.
"Nah."
"She never talked about another man?"
"No. Not that I know of."
I slowly nodded. So she been keeping this shit from the kids too.
When we pulled up in the driveway the kids got out. I got out behind them.
We walked inside. Lauren was sitting on the couch. When she looked up tears were in her eyes.
"Ma. What's wrong?" Luke asked.
"Nothing. You two go upstairs."
"But-"
"GO!" She yelled at them.
They quickly went upstairs. I tried to walk past her and head upstairs as well.
"We're gonna' have to talk about this at some point." Lauren said.
I laughed a little. "Ain't shit to talk about. You cheated that's all I needed to know."
"Ace-"
"Nah. You probably fucked him and everything while I was away."
"Your right I did. And I got pregnant."
I froze.
"But I had an abortion." She said that shit like it was normal.
I bit my bottom lip trying to remain calm.
"I got an abortion because I knew it was wrong-"
"BUT YOU STILL DID IT!"
"IM SORRY OKAY?"
I laughed. "And they say niggas are hoes. Looks like the tables are turned."
Alexis
I stood next to the stairs listening to ma and dad arguing. From what I heard my mom got caught cheating. It didn't surprise me though.
I ran into my brother's room.
"Luke?"
"What?" He said.
"I think mom and dad are gonna' separate."
"Why you say that?" He asked giving me his full attention.
"They're arguing."
"Doesn't mean anything." Luke said.
"But mom cheated."
"Welp. I call living with dad."
I laughed and shook my head.

Lauren
Ace made me sleep in the guest room last night. I don't blame him either.
The time was 7:30 and I needed to get ready for work.
I walked into my bedroom and saw the bathroom light on meaning Ace was up.
I sighed and went into my closet pulling out an outfit for today.
After finding one I quickly changed. I knocked on the bathroom door.
"What Lauren?"
"How did you know it was me?" I asked walking into the bathroom grabbing my toothbrush.
"I just knew."
"Oh. I'm going to work-"
"I don't care." He cut me off.
"Oh." I said and started brushing my teeth.
After taking care of all my hygiene I was ready to head to work.
"Bye Ace." I smiled.
All he did was shut the door and lock it.
I sighed and got into my car.

I walked inside the building.
"Hi sir. Do you have a meeting with someone today?" A lady asked as I walked up to her.
"Nah. I'm actually just looking for Lauren Tucker."
"Oh okay. Her office is right down the hall, first door on your left."
"Thank you." I said and followed her directions.
I then saw Lauren sitting at her desk on the phone.
She looked up and smiled at me.
"Mr. Alvin I will have to call you back later... okay.. bye bye." Lauren hung up.
"Ace baby I knew you would change your mind and come crawling back to me."
"Nah I actually made up my mind." I laid the divorce papers on her desk then walked out.
She must have thought she could cheat and get away with it. I don't know what the hell was going on in her mind.
