It has been a week since I arrived here.Finally,today I have the mood to go out and enjoy since the whole one week I was feeling lethargic and sleepy.It's normal for me though because I'm still a student but not for my parents.They said I'm young but I'm always lazing around like a sloth and I'll be listening to their nags all day.
"Omma,appa." I greeted them as I entered the living room.
"Yes?" Appa looked at me,waiting for me to speak.
"I'll be going out later.With a friend." I said to him.
"Okay,young lady.It's good that you're finally out of your sloth state." He teased and omma laughed at his not so funny joke.
"Am I sloth now?" I asked them with a straight face.
"Soyeon,we were just joking alright.Don't be too serious or you'll get old." Omma answered and appa nodded his head,strongly agreeing to her.
"Okay,I get that.My friend will come anytime soon so,I'll get ready now." I spoke to them and they nodded.I got back to my room and laid down.I could feel my eyes getting slightly heavy and I began to give in.Soon,I know that everything turned dark.
"Soyeon!Ireona!" I heard my mom's voice calling me.Oh?Is she in this dream too?
"Kim Soyeon!I said get up!" Then,I felt a pillow being hit to my face which made me totally awake.
"What?What happen?" I asked,still blurry.
"Why are you sleeping?Your friend is waiting for you downstairs." Omma answered while pointing down.Omg!Jimin!He's here!
"Oh...sh-I..I'll get ready now.Please tell him I'm getting ready now." I quickly stood up and took a short shower.Then,I just put on a red checkered shirt and a leather jacket with black pants.I put on my favourite black boots with my hair tied up and a bit of make up.I took my things and rushed downstairs.
"I'm ready!" I spoke nervously as I saw him in the living room with my parents.
"Jimin-ah,I'm really sorry.This sloth just really love to sleep and she's making you wait for her on your date." Omma said as she patted Jimin's back.
"It's fine.I understand,aunty.Thank you for the tea.We'll go now." Jimin replied and bowed at my parents politely.
"Take care of her,Jimin.She's not really good at taking care of herself.Last time,she had her ankle hurt after going out with her friend.I don't want that to happen again,arrasso?" Appa told him and he nodded.Why is he bringing back the past?
"Thank you for your advice,appa.I'll go home in one piece." I said to him as I gavs him a sharp look which he just look at me with a grin.
"Take care and have fun,Soyeon." Omma said from behind.I walked together with Jimin to his black Sedan car.
"Please,come in." Jimin opened the car door for me and I entered in.I looked at my parents from the window and they were smiling proudly at me.
"Stop it." I mouthed at them and they just giggled.
"Good bye,uncle,aunty." Jimin said to them before entering.
"You're parents are so cool." Jimin said before he started driving.Yes,very very cool.
"Thank you." I thanked him and sat silently.
"You look nice." He complimented as he looked at me.
"Thank you,again.Oppa." I thanked him once again.Gosh,why am I so nervous?It's just Jimin.The guy you met last week.The atmosphere in the car was really silent so,I decided to break the ice.
"Where are-"
"We-"
Jimin and I both spoke at the same time which made us chuckle.
"You go first." Jimin said.
"Where are we going?" I asked in curiosity.
"Oh,I was about to tell you the place we're going.We're going to eat first.At my favourite restaurant.Sounds good?" He asked me back.
"Yes!Of course.I'm hungry too,oppa." I replied with my most pure smile.
"Are you really 21?You still act like a little kid." He asked and spontaneously ruffled my hair.
"I'm really really 21,oppa.You can check my ID card." I started searching for my card but he stopped me.
"I was just joking,okay?I know you're 21 and I'm 23.I'm old.My hair even turned grey." He said as he swept his hair to the back.I looked at him and found him really handsome when he did that.
"Oh,now you like staring at people,huh?" Jimin spoke as he too looked at me.
"N-no.No.I didn't stare at you." I looked away as I shook my head.
"You were staring at me like I'm your most precious thing.Am I that handsome for you to stare?" He asked in a proud tone.I scoffed and shook my head.
"Don't be too proud,oppa.Did you forget my brother?" I asked him and immediately his face changed from happy to just straight face.
"Aw..I'm sorry,oppa.You're handsome too,okay?Because my brother is getting older so,it's fine." I tried to persuade him and he did smile.
"It's okay,Soyeon.I'm not hurt by that.Come,let's go in." He parked the car and took his seatbelt off.I followed him outside as we enter the traditional Korean food restaurant.A friendly worker greeted us and led us to a vacant table.He gave the menu cards and left.
"What do you want to eat?" Jimin asked as he read through the menu card.
"I'll let you decide since you know what's best here." I replied him and he called a waiter for us.He began ordering foods and drinks then,the waiter left.
"So,how's life in Australia?" Jimin asked as he clasped his hands together.
"Well,at first it was quite hard for me to adjust myself there but as time passed I'm getting more used to the environment there.Besides,I'm living with my cousin there so,she also helped me a lot."
"How about you,oppa?How did you became a professional dancer now?" I asked him back.
"I joined a small dance company in Busan.I learnt modern contemporary dance in the company.One day,a friend of mine took a video of me dancing to my self composed song called Lie and sent it to a well known dance academy here in Seoul.Then,everything just changed." He answered with a shrug.
"Interesting..so,are you having a break right now?"
"Not really..tommorrow I have to practice for a prestigious show in Japan.It's tiring..but it's the thing that I like to do the most." He said with a sigh.
"I believe you'll do well,Jimin oppa.When is the show?"
"Next month..but we still have a lot to do." He's still as hard working as he is back when we were in high school.I like that side of him.
"You'll make through it,oppa.I'm sure you can." I cheered him up to support him.
"Thank you,Soyeon.I really..like this new side of you.You're getting more positive than before.I like that." He smiled at me charmingly. Oh,my heart is beating 10 times faster than before.Jimin,what are you doing to me?
The foods and drinks came to our table after we had that exciting conversation.
"Eat well,Soyeon-ah." Jimin said as he took his chopsticks.
"You too,oppa." I took my chopsticks and ate my food.
"Soyeon,here." Jimin offered to feed me his food and I have no choice but to eat it.
"Is it nice?" He asked me and I nodded happily.
"All the food taste good!I'm going to miss this when I'm back in Australia later."
"You're going back..to Australia?" He asked.
"Yes,I'm here for just a couple of months."
"I thought..it's fine.Continue eating then,we can go somewhere else." He looked away and continued eating.After we're done eating,we went to a shopping mall.
"Do you want to buy anything?" Jimin asked me while we walked inside.This shopping mall is enormous.If you're alone here,you can be lost.I was still mesmerised by the modern design of this building that I didn't hear Jimin.
"Yah!" Jimin whispered shouted in my ear which made me flinch.
"What?" I asked him.
"Do you want to buy anything?"
"N-no.I don't." I answered him immediately.
"Good.Then,I'll buy something for you." He said with a wink.Jimin just did that!Calm down,heart.
I was not able to say a word when he suddenly pulled my wrist and entered a street fashion boutique.Everything in there just screams fashion and I totally love them all.
"Choose anything you want.I'll pay it for you." He spoke and flashed me a really charming smile.
"Really,oppa?" I asked in disbelief.He ruffled my hair and nodded.I roamed around the boutique,choosing clothes,pants and accessories but I still know my limits since Jimin is paying for them.
"Okay,oppa.I got it all." I said to him after I've finished picking all the items.
"Alright.Let's pay." Jimin said coolly and walked to the cashier.Oh,look at how cool he is.His girlfriend must be very lucky to have him.
"I see what you did there." Jimin looked at me with a grin.
"What?" I asked him,puzzled.
"You were smiling at me." He raised his eyebrows at me playfully.
"No,I didn't." I shook my head.
"You really like me that much,do you?" He asked me.Now,he sounds much more serious.
