Cameron's Flashback:
He told me he was going to see the doctor today.
Pains on your neck just need to be checked out.
"I'll be fine in there, sweetheart" he told me.
"Are you sure? You don't want me to go in there?"
"No, stay here, and you can wait for me"
As nervous as a girlfriend could get, this was it.
For some reason I had a bad feeling something would be wrong.
He came out of that room and we all knew
Thyroid Cancer.
At the time, i didn't know how much it would progressive.
Enough for me to know, he was going to die.
I cried, and cried, and cried.
Was there nothing else left to do?
He went through treatments like radiation therapy.
I thought it was going well, but things changed.
I asked me out on a date, nice restaurant, nice view in scenery.
Then, I stopped a little black box.
It was an engagement ring.
Then, a second later, I saw him down on his knees.
"Will you marry me?"
Did he realize that his risks of dying were high?
I didn't want to hurt his feelings.
I loved him.
"Yes" I answered.
He smiled, and we kissed.
I was sitting on my desk.
"Cameron there's something wrong in the ER!!"
"What is it?" I screamed.
"Come look"
I rushed out to the area.
Five patients were taken to the intensive care unit.
Some at urgent care.
I should have been more alert.
My mind is so off into space.
Thinking about my last husband again?
I missed him.
Should I be missing him?
I have Chase.
So, why am I missing him?
