Chapter 31

So guys this chapter is a flashback when Gwen was about 10 years old. That is 6 years back from her current age.

Also a fair warning. This chapter contains a little abuse. So just make sure about it. Don't read if you can't. I'll explain this again in the next chapter minus the abuse.

**

"Bye, family." I said as I walked down the stairs of our house.

"Where are you going?" Will asked. For a 19 years old, he was quite a mischief boy. He would always tease me with everything. I, being small always gave him the privilege to tease me.

I frowned. "I told momma that I was going to Tyler's house. We decided to play at his house today."

Will scrunched his eyebrows. "That's weird. He always likes coming here?"

"Yes, I know. But I like going there too. Can I go?" I asked, pouting.

"And who are you going with?" He asked. I smiled. He always gives in.

"I'll ask one of the driver to me drive me. I'll send him back home." I replied.

"Okay. Well, have fun, but not too much." He warned.

I giggled. "Tyler's my best friend, Will."

"Yeah yeah." He muttered, dismissing me.

I laughed and hopped down the stairs to the car that momma had already arranged for me. The driver drove through the gate towards Tyler's house. Once we reached his house, I opened the door, not before thanking the driver.

I don't know why daddy wants me to have a driver where ever I go. Shrugging at the thought, I ran towards the door. I rang the bell and waited for someone to open the door.

A few seconds later, the door swung opened and there was Tyler's Dad. "Hello, Mr. Black."

"Oh, hello, dear. Come in." I walked in, smiling.

"Where is Tyler?" I asked, looking up at Mr. Black. Tyler and I have been friends forever, but till now I never knew Mr. Black's name. Daddy is friend with him, but I never really see him as Tyler spends most of the time at my house.

"He is inside, Gwen." Mr. Black said.

I walked behind him as he took us to where Tyler was. I was playing with my charm bracelet that Tyler gave me on my birthday. I wasn't paying attention when I stumbled forward. Startled, I looked up.

"Everything alright?" He asked, raising his eyebrow. I frantically nodded my head, bobbing up and down.

He chuckled as I looked down, embarrassed. We walked towards the living room. Since, I've been here before; I knew where living room was. I looked to see Tyler sitting on the couch, staring into a distance. I furrowed my eyebrows. Is everything alright?

"Tyler?" I called out. He turned towards me and stared. He just stared with no smile.

"Hi." I tried, again.

He still didn't reply. I turned to look at Mr. Black, wondering what was going on. Mr. Black chuckled, but this time, I didn't like the way he looked. He looked almost, evil.

He walked towards me as I backed away towards Tyler. He was still sitting there when I ran towards him.

"Tyler?" I called out, now scared. "I want to go home."

"Now, now, sweetie. We aren't done here," said Mr. Black.

I looked up at him, now clearly scared. Tears ran down my face as I tried to run towards the door. But I before I could reach the door, a hand grabbed a handful of my hair and threw me backward.

A scream left my mouth as my head banged towards the wall. I was now terrified as an angry Mr. Black stalked towards me.

"You little shit!" He yelled. I winced back. No one has ever shouted at me. Everyone at my place were happy and this was scaring me. "You and your father are useless. He doesn't deserve to be where he is and now I have to deal with a little scary kid like you."

"He deserves everything." I defended weakly. I shouldn't have done that because as soon as the words left my mouth, a hand slapped my cheeks. I fell back from the impact. My hands directly went to my throbbing cheeks.

More tears ran down my face. I silently cried and prayed for someone to save me. Tyler.

"Tyler!" I screamed. But no Tyler.

"Shut up." A hit. "Come on. I'll show you your place."

He dragged me by my hair towards a room. He pushed me in and then the worst pain started.

"Tell me about your father's recent program in Los Angeles." Mr. Black demanded.

"I don't know." I whispered.

"You know. Or you will find out for me." He said, venom clearly in his voice.

"No." I said, confidently. If Will knew I was weak, he might not like me.

"What did you say?" He said, angrily.

I swallowed and repeated, but a little quietly. Soon the hits and kicks started. He punched me and I cried in pain for someone to save me.

I saw Tyler in the hallway just staring at me. Not doing anything. It broke me. My best friend, who promised to protect me, never saved me from his father. I hate you, Tyler. All our memories came to be, but I couldn't think as the pain doubled. Blood was running down my nose and all I could feel was pain. I had so many bruise that I can't even count.

"Are you dreaming, little child?" His voiced was like venom to my ears.

"No!" I whispered.

Suddenly, I felt a hand connect with my cheeks. I stumbled back. "Speak loud."

Pain. Numb. I didn't like it. I don't like it. I want this to stop. "Will." I said, quietly.

My eyes felt droopy. My breath was ragged. My legs felt sharp sting. Broken. This was all it.

Suddenly, I saw Tyler's father turn around. I have to be strong. I have to go to my brothers. They are waiting. Dad is waiting. I will not let my daddy down. I pulled myself up, wincing from the pain from my ankle.

I saw a lap on the bed post and grabbed it. I slowly went behind Mr. Black, who was bend down to pick a stick and hit the back of his head. He yelped and fell forward, holding his head. Satisfied, I made a dash towards the door. I couldn't actually run, so I stumbled out.

As I walked towards the door, I couldn't find Tyler. I felt heart broken when he didn't help. For a ten years old, this much pain is not good. I can't take it.

But I stumbled, ran, whimpered and made my way towards my house. Luckily, my house was not that far. I didn't find anyone while going home.

As I saw the gate of my house, my pain increased. I didn't see any guard near the gate. I entered the code and walked inside. As I saw the house door, a relief went through my body. I entered the door and saw Will and Ethan laughing and talking, sitting on the couch. Tears began running down my cheeks again. This time, it was loud enough for me to grab their attention.

A slight dizziness hit me. I must have lost a lot of blood. There was a sharp pain coming from my leg as well as my head. I remember banging my head against the wall.

"Gwen!" I heard Will and Ethan scream as they came running towards me. Soon I fell into someone's arms. I'm assuming it was Will. I whimpered.

Loud sobs were heard from me. "It hurts, Will." I cried.

"No, no, no!" I heard Will's frantic voice. "Call the ambulance."

"I'm feeling sleepy, Will." I muttered as my eyes were forcing themselves to close.

"No, Gwen. Stay awake. You're fine." Will yelled, trying to wake me.

This time I was long gone. Darkness soon consumed me. I never felt this content.

Okay! This was something.

I can't ever understand the pain she must have gone through. This was just how I pictured the story and wrote it. Tell me whatever you want to say? Until then.
