Johnny made me stay in bed the rest of the day I actually liked it being served hand and foot. I was getting bored and fidgety as well I took in a deep breath then let out a loud scream hiding under the covers as footsteps quickly rushed up stairs "Gloria what's wrong" Johnny-cakes busted through the door I peaked out from under the covers "I'm booored" I groaned Johnny shook his head relief washed over his face "Fine" He helped me down stairs "AYYYY GLORIA DOLL" a drunk two slurred I let out a chuckle "Gloria may I have a word?" Darry stood at the kitchen door I shrugged then entered the kitchen he followed closing the door behind him "I know what you and the Shepherds got Pony to do" He said sternly I rubbed my side gently " Ease up he's a kid let him be one you probably did dumb shit as well" I said looking at him he stood quietly "Gotta give the kid some space" I walked out the kitchen letting Darry think about that Two was hugging Steve of course Steve didn't want to, Soda was talking to Pony and Johnny "Where Dally the Dick?" I asked they shrugged their shoulders "What happened to you anyway?" Soda asked raising his eyebrows "Me and Tim got into a fight then my rib popped out so I pushed it back in and Tim brought me back here where Johnnycakes patched me up" I smiled my left eye went blurry again I began rubbing it to see if that helped but it didn't "Tim hit a girl?" Soda frowned I hate it when people say that's it's so dumb "Don't treat me different because of my gender" I growled I shut my eye considering I couldn't see out of it now "sorry..." Soda apologised "What's up with eye?" Two slurred than began doing a pirate impression "Tim landed a punch on me there and haven't been able see straight since" I complained trying not laugh as Two hopped about. "You should go to the hospital" Darry said I rolled my working eye "Didn't go when my rib was poking out my body ain't going for an eye" I sighed sitting on the couch I grabbed Pony's smoke out of hand taking a few puffs instantly feeling more relaxed "Cheers" I handed him the cigarette back I opened my left eye again everything was blurry but at least I wasn't blind "Wait if you can't see out your left" Johnny trailed everyone but me must of thought of the same thing "That mean you won't be able fight" Darry finished I jumped up spinning around to face him "How so?" I stomped my foot down "Cause it can be used against you, if Someone finds out you can't see out of your left eye" Steve stated I realised he was right "Ima kill That Shepard" I yelled my side started hurt making me double over "You're not in shape Gloria sit down" Johnny tried calm me down I shook with rage "I'll be useless. I'll be a liability" my hands turned into fists my eyes looking down at the ground "Gloria don't think like that" Soda said defensively I glanced up at him I couldn't even see that far with my left eye "Why cause it's true you all know that!" I kicked the couch I was breathing heavily "IM AN EVERETT I WILL NOT BE USELESS!" I yelled on the top of my lungs flipping the table knocking everything off it drinks spilling onto the wood floor and rug "IM A FUCKING EVERETT" I bawled tears started pour out. All the emotions I've tried keep bottled up now poured out I couldn't describe my emotions. "Gloria" Pony said softly I wiped away the tears but they kept coming "Look Gloria I admire you a lot you know?" I shook my head squinting at Pony he gave me a meek smile "You've lost so much but yet you're still strong and tough ya know?" He said I let out a dry laugh "I'm not tough..." I replied "you are toughest girl I've ever known" He argued I frowned "Pony there's a difference I'm just scared as hell that's all" I said quietly fiddling with my thumbs "Scared but you-" I cut him off "Like a scared animal when it's cornered, It lashes out" I bit my lip "I'm Scared I'll die too young 16 years ain't enough you know? I don't want end up like my dad or mum" I cried Johnny sat beside me hugging my and rubbing my back "I know I won't live a full life" I cried into his shoulder "You know I used to talk a lot about killing myself" Johnny said quietly glancing at Two-Bit who looked away "I've never been out of Tulsa before, The gang is really what kept me going" He said I started calm down I felt pathetic crying like this, "thanks" I mumbled he smiled I sat up sniffling.
The next day when I woke up I went rub the sleet out my eyes but instantly flinched when I touched my left eye. Quickly going to the bathroom I gasped my left eye was bloodied "Jeeeeessus" I groaned the Sclera part of my was completely red my vision was still a little blurry but it was better just looked worse.
It made me look tough I guess "I'm gonna kill you Shepard" I grumbled I heard Johnny move about in the kitchen I headed down "Morning" he singsonged putting toast on the plates then placing the plates on the table "Moring Johnnycakes" I smiled he looked up at me "Oh no your eye" He sat down his brows knitting together "It's fine it's better actually just looks worse" I took a bite out of the toast "Promise?" he replied with a mouthful of toast "Yea" I smiled. After breakfast I took a shower then got Johnny help to re-do my bandages since they were bloodied I just put on a baggy plain shirt and usual black jeans I was gonna wear leather but it's too worn out so I wore my trench coat "Going School today?" I asked Johnny nodded putting jotters into his bag while King laid in his bed. I left and headed to town try find out where Shepard was, people would give me looks as I walked down the street I smirked taking in all the attention but I had stop since my side was hurting too much again I leant against a pole catching my breath "What's a hood like you doing here?" a snobbish voice said turning my head to see 3 Socs standing there 2 Jocks and 1 girl "Gonna fuck off man" I spat they looked at my left eye then looked at my hand pressed against my side "Whatever trash" the Soc spat before they walked off I heard some grunts and cursing close by curious I walked towards it, they were coming down from an alley I strutted down seeing a Soc on the ground as 2 figures kicked into him as a taller one watched "What have we got here?" I said amusingly taking out a cancer-stick and lighting it they all turned around tensing up I noticed it was Brumly boys I looked at the taller figure seeing as it was Tim "Shepard you little shit" I spat the two Brumly boys started walk towards me before Tim put a hand up as if to tell them not to bother he grinned walking into the light "What happened to the eye doll?" he arched an eyebrow I gritted my teeth "YOU! I haven't been able see straight" I spat he frowned then his face went blank "Nothing I can do baby now go" He went turn his back on me but I grabbed his shoulder jerking him around to face me as I punched him I began cursing him out he rubbed his jaw where I hit him the Brumly boys snickered at this scene Tim growled pushing me against the wall "The fuck you think your doing Tim" I spat he smirked looking down at me "Don't you dare do what you're thinking" I said with venom in my voice he brought his face closer to mine our lips just touching "And whats that?" He said huskily his hands on my waist sliding down to my ass I slowly took out my switchblade I flipped the blade gently pushing the tip against Tim's neck he tensed up feeling the cold metal I smiled "Hands off" I demanded and that's what he did "Dingo at 5" he smirked, putting my switch away "Thought it was 7?" I questioned holding my side making sure it wasn't bleeding "Well I said 5 now so it's gonna be 5" he muttered glancing at Brumly boys they started patting down the Soc pockets "I don't normally do this ya know?" I rubbed my eye gently it stung a little Tim noticed but didn't move "Do what?" he asked dropping his cigarette to the ground "Fight a guy then go on a date with him" I joked giving Tim a smug smile he let out a deep dry laugh "Who said it was a date?" he purred I stuffed my hands into my trench pockets playing with the handle of my switch "Well I said a date so it's gonna be a date" I looked over at the two Brumly boys they were swapping stuff they grabbed off the Soc "Well see you later Hun" Tim said I nodded leaving the ally I decided go to the DX it was chilly but not that cold enough to button up my coat. The bell ringed as I entered the DX "Welcome to- oh it's you" Steve said he looked at my eye before going back to work "GLOOOOORIA" Soda skipped over "Your eye!" he practically shouted grabbing my face examining my eye "Yea I know" I mumbled he grinned then brought me into a hug "After my shift do you wanna come with the gang to the movies?" He asked "Can't got other plans" I sighed he nodded understanding "Can you work the cash register for me, since I can't count" Soda beamed "You can count Soda but sure" I sat on the stool sorting the cash it was a busy day today but it went by quick I glanced at the clock seeing it 6 "I've gotta go I'm already late" I got up wiping the counter down quickly "oh where you going? I'll drop you off" Soda smiled "You driving uh-uh I'll drive you'll get us killed" Steve butted in "Dingo thanks Steve" I said we closed the DX early and got into Steve's Car I was put in the back since Soda always gets shotgun even if you say it before him "So why you need go to Dingo?" Steve questioned looking back at me through the rear mirror "Just meeting some guy that's all" I went light a smoke "No smoking in the car!" Steve snapped I pouted but put the cigarette back in the nearly empty pack "Here you go" Steve stopped in the parking lot I could see Tim leaning on the wall drinking a beer "Thanks guys" I smiled getting out then walking over to Tim he looked up giving me his usual bitter grin "your late" He said coldly I snatched the beer out his hand gulping half of it down "How long did you wait?" I smirked walking into the Dingo Tim followed "That's not the point" he said sounding irritated we sat down at the booth "well I was helping at the DX" I picked up a menu looking over the options they were basically all the same "How's your rib?" Tim asked waving a waitress over " It's still hurts can't walk far without it bleeding " I watched as a waitress in a uniform too small and tight for her walk over "Hello Shepard" she purred she was caked in make-up her hair was obviously fake blonde "Can I get the usual" Tim said looking over to me the waitress glanced over sneering a little then gave a fake smile "And what about your friend here?" she said sweetly "Same as him" I stated sinking back into worn down cushioned seat "thanks for your order" She winked at Tim causing me snort she walked away overly swaying here hips "She was just a one night thing so don't worry" Tim looked at me I felt the corners of my mouth curl up "Why would I be worried about her" my eye went blurry again so I closed it "Guess your right" he sighed heavily couple minutes the waitress came back with one plate "Here you go babe" she said sultry overly bending over her tits spilling out the uniform "thanks" Tim said coldly then slid his plate to me "Cheers" I smiled looking at plate "I'll get YOUR order" the waitress glared at me then marched off to get Tim his order again "Who knew Shepard was such a gentlemen" I joked he rolled his eyes I took bite out of the food "this is actually good" I said with a mouthful Tim smirked the waitress came back with Tim's order then sat beside me leaning over the table "Maybe after you finish with her you could come with me and I'll show you a real women" The waitress said smirking Tim didn't even bat an eye at her we just sat quietly eating our food while the waitress flirted with Tim once we finished he stood up and so did the waitress "Go bother someone else your ruining our date" Tim said sternly wrapping an arm around me the waitress face went red "HER? She's plain she has no figure she might as well me a man!" she shouted catching the attention of many people "Your just a piece of fuck meat " I growled we walked out leaving the Dingo "sorry about that" Tim apologised I shrugged "I got free food so it fine" I leaned my head on his shoulder as we walked down the street "Movies?" Tim asked looking at me "If there's a cheesy film on I'm leaving" I hate cheesy films we snuck into the drive-in finding some seats at the back "Want a drink before film starts?" He smiled I smiled back "Sure " he got up leaving me to watch all the trailers for other films "Hey Gloria thought you were at Dingo?" I heard a voice said I looked to my right seeing the gang sitting well Darry , Pony and Johnny sitting the rest were mucking around "I was we headed here though" I replied "Who's ya date?" Soda yelled the rest started shouting 'Oooo' and doing stupid kissing faces I rolled my eyes "Here" Tim came back sitting beside me handing me a coke he glanced over to the Gang then wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me closer to him "SHEPARD?!" Two said too loudly Darry smacked his head. "Why they here?" Tim whispered watching the film I shrugged watching it as well "Greaat a cheesy romance film" I groaned Tim's hand started going down body "Go any lower and you will have a broken hand" I bluntly said so he didn't go any lower I could hear the Gang snicker and whisper. We were an hour into the film before I decided it was too much and got up "This films Sucks" I stated leaving Tim was already by my side his arm wrapped around me protectively.
I was sitting in Tim's he said Curly and his sister Angela were out "Got any drink?" I asked blowing smoke rings "You ask dumb questions" He got up grabbing two bottles of scotch "Now this more like a date" I smirked snatching a bottle from him. A few hours later we both drunk but not to the point where you won't remember. "You tell no one about this okay" He said his breath smelt of cigarettes and scotch as we danced in the living-room listening to Johnny cash - Folsom Prison Blues Tim started singing. He was good I hummed along, my head resting on his chest feeling the vibrations and warmth from him when the song ended he looked down at me and smiled not a grim or bitter one but a proper smile "You have a nice smile you know that?" I smiled back "wanna take this-" I interrupted "Not on the first date Tim" I smirked "Good to see that you don't just throw yourself" he said huskily I laughed we both laid on the couch "I'm not a hugger" He said stretching out "But your a fucker" I joked we both burst out laughing from my terrible joke "That was terrible" Tim said placing his hand on my thigh "I know" I downed the rest of the scotch "Timmy" I mumbled to myself then snickered "What did you say?" He shot a glare at me but then his face softened "Timmy Shepard" I burst out laughing "Not you too, Curly and Angela already say that" He groaned rubbing his temples "Sit up" I demanded he looked puzzled but reluctantly did I moved behind Tim and starts massage his shoulder "Geez Tim your so stiff" I added pressure as I massaged "I could show you something else that's sti-" I smacked him upside the head "Not on the first date" I spat I began massaging his back forcing him lay on his stomach "Ease up Shepard stop frowning I didn't know I was on a date with an old man" I teased "haha" he said unamused. The rest of the night was spent massaging and Tim complaining about his siblings I was too tired go home so me and Tim just shared his bed.
