When I woke up no one was in the living-room I looked around none of the beers two was drinking were left. I stood up walking into the kitchen there was a note on the table it read. We decided let you sleep in we've already left for work and school there should be food in the fridge -Darry, Soda & Pony
I smiled rubbing my eyes still I saw the weird colours and patterns, I opened the fridge there was a sandwich so I decided that's what I was eaten . I was leaning against the counter stuffing the sandwich in my mouth as I quickly read over the newspaper, Once I finished eating I got changed I had only three outfits so I decided now be good time get more clothes I was wearing a tight pencil skirt with a plain white shirt tucked in with my usual boots I grabbed my wallet and switchblade putting the blade into my boots and wallet in my bra I soon then left the house heading into town.
I was sitting in Dairy Queen I had already bought clothes I had at least 2 bags filled I was looking out the window stirring a milkshake I had , I was thinking about getting a job for some extra cash and maybe buy a house but I don't know about the house I mean I promised Johnny I'd stay but I cant keep crashing at the Curtis's My thought were broken when someone sat across from me I turned see who it was " Dally the Dick what do you want?" I asked looking at dally who had a smirk on his face he took out a smoke " want one?" He offered which I gladly took we sat in silence smoking our cigarettes " you drinking that?" He asked I shook my head he snatched my milkshake drinking it " so what brings you hear , doll?" He asked once he finished drinking my now empty milkshake " just needed clothes and some time think" I said dropping my finished cigarette on the floor and stomping on it " what were you thinking about " he questioned his eyes half closed he had his head leaned back on the seat " just about getting a job and trying figure out how I'll get a house" I sighed " man, why a job? And house? You really are staying here aren't you?" He kept questioning " Need some extra cash plus I don't want keep crashing at the Curtis's house ... but I don't know how Ill get a house" I was starting get stress , one of the waitresses came over she was real pretty, brown hair blue eyes that sparkled pale face with pink cheeks and lips she was curvy as well I noticed dally was checking her out " anything I can get you two?" She smiled " could I get your number then?" Dally smirked she blushed a little " what's your name?" I asked leaning over the table " erm.. Rosie " She smiled she had perfect teeth great smile as well " well Rosie when does your shift end?" I asked again " soon actually maybe an hour or so" she looked at dally who kept looking her up and down then winked at her " can I get two cokes then doll" he said she nodded before going back to get our order " she's really pretty ain't she ?" I said sitting back Dally looked at me Lightning another cigarette " yep." He mumbled she actually made me feel bad about myself I looked at my reflection in the wind frowning I wasn't the best looking or most ugly looking I was kinda just plain I quickly snapped myself out of that fault don't need self pity right now, Rosie came back with our drinks " That'd be $20 including your order earlier " she smiled I ordered some fries , two burgers cause i was starving and a milkshake that dally drank . I reached into my bra for my wallet I could feel Dally watching me I grabbed my wallet taking it out and paying Rosie before putting the wallet back into my bra " interesting place put it" Dally said still looking at my chest " every girl does it" I said drinking my coke " anyway what you doing here?" I asked " just walking around and so happened to see a lonely broad " he took a sip out of his coke I looked back out the window watching people and cars go pass.
We left the Dairy Queen without Rosie Dally decided she wasn't worth waiting another 40 minutes on which was a shame cause she seemed like to like him, we were walking I was carrying my bags Dally wanted go into a store so he could swipe some smoke "distract the old guy while I swipe " he said as we entered I walked up to the cash register " excuse me " I said in a fake sweet voice he smiled back I began distracting him while Dally swiped as much as he could I turned look at him he nodded and started leave the shop I quickly followed once we were a little away from the store " how much you get?" I asked as he opened his jacket he had swiped at least five packets of cigarettes cartoons "here " he handed me a cartoon I thanked him, How come Dally the Dick ain't being a dick? " where you wanna go now?" He said looking around " I want go put these bags back at the Curtis and get changed out of these clothes " I walked down the street heading to the house " why I think it suits you shows your body more" Dally said smirking " urgh I don't feel tough though " I gagged at dally's attempt to flirt " yea cause that switchblade in your boot ain't doing anything doll" he retorted back.
We eventually got back by time we go in the door I was already unbuttoning my shirt " bit eager we are?" Dally said behind me I quickly went into the bathroom to get changed I put on some blue high waisted jeans with a black sweater I did my hair so it was voluminous I brushed it back as well I decided a little make-up couldn't hurt , I did a pair of smokey eyes With a dramatic eyeliner it brought out my features more my scar was really visible against the dark colours.
I put the bags in darry room he didn't mind I walked into the living room with a cigarette in hand. Pony and Johnny were in as well " when did you get in?" I asked leaning on the doorframe " we were in before you? We saw you taking off your shirt and storm into the bathroom " Johnny said quietly " looking good Gloria " pony blushed before turning back to his homework " ya now you look tough" dally said leaning on the wall " now where shall we go?" He said "Wanna go pay the boys a visit or something?" I said we said bye to Johnny and Pony as we left we decided to visit the Dx first since it was the closest we both strutted down the street some people avoided eye contact with other stared in awe at us " Guesss you have quite the reputation here?" I said elbowing dally in the side he let out a chuckle " that's an understatement " he said wrapping an arm around my shoulder " you not too bad " he said I smiled " You ain't too bad yourself " I grabbed him bringing him into a headlock as I ruffled his hair he quickly shoved me off him he looked at me obviously trying to be mad but couldn't he just laughed instead " I'd thought you'd know not mess with a greasers hair especially this one" he said pointing to himself " oh no its the famous Dallas Winston biggest JD don't hurt me"I mocked raising my hands in the air walking backwards we both laughed " Gloria!" I heard soda shout I turned around but instead my face collided with a pole I let out a yelp of pain as I fell backwards onto the ground " are you stupid or something?" Dally spat Soda rushed over helping me up " you okay? " he said grabbing my face look at him I shrugged him off "yea Im fine ain't no pole gonna take me down " I said I could hear steve laughing " you look really nice today... you're wearing make up as well" soda blushed.
We walked up the gas station steve was under one of the cars working on it "so you two friends now or something ?" Soda said changing the wheels of one of the cars me and dally looked at each other " ehhh" we both said shaking our hands Dally walked up to Steve dragging him out from under the car " hey man" he said as steve stood up his face covered in grease he stunk of oil " oo looking tuff gloria " he said wiping his hands on a rag " and what brings you two lovely people here" steve said sarcastically throwing the rag at Dally's face "thought we'd drop by for a little " I said leaning against the car, giggling could be heard then the bell at door rang as three girls walked in " Sodaaa" a blonde one said clinging to him soon the other two soon followed, Soda looked at us for help " Oh would you at that time to go" I said laughing as me and dally quickly left we walked passed a few more girls who were just entering as well. " where does darry even work?" I asked Dally " He does roofing, Im sure I know what house he's working on today " he said we walked around while Dally tried figure out the house Darry working on.
We found the house after an hour so mainly because we saw a bunch of guys on a roof "Aye Muscle man" I shouted at darry who was on the roof he looked up and waved at us , we swaggered over waiting for Darry get down, Dally was leaning on me smoking like as usual " Hey man what you two doing here?" Darry said putting down his work equipment " just wanted see how ya doing man? " Dally said glaring at the other workers " well I've gotta get back work talk when I get home " darry said picking his tool back up climbing the ladder " That's it?" Dally said his tone coming out harsher then he probably intended to Darry gave us a stern look that meant 'watch your mouth' ya know? " yea well whatever man" Dally spat turning around dragging me with him I quickly Waved at Darry " what's up with attitude ,sour face?" I questioned Dally just kept walking " nothing now forget about it" I shrugged knowing Dally ain't the sharing type.
We snuck in at the nightly double it was late afternoon so there was a few people about " How come I haven't had any fuzz after me if Im 'dangerous'" I said leaning back on a wall Dally was just coming out with some popcorn there was a cheesy beach movie on. " not many people actually bother if you just going about not causing trouble " He said chucking some popcorn into his mouth " gives some" I asked already taking some popcorn before Dally could move it away. It was bitter I quickly spat it out " did you get salted popcorn ya snap case" I wiped my mouth Dally looked offended and confused " salted popcorn best and what the hell is a 'snap case'?" He chucked more popcorn into mouth " snap case means a bizarre person or a weirdo " I said looking back to watch the cheesy film. Turns out Dally ain't that bad of a person really even with his extremely long criminal record "This film sucks Im off go see if i can go find a Ditz " Before Dally could say anything I was already looking for a Ditz or someone who looked like one. Incase you don't know what a Ditz is it's basically an idiot, I saw a boy who looked about 15 sitting on his own so I sat beside him " Boring movie don't ya think?" I said putting an arm around the back of his chair. He looked at me he had golden brown hair with grey eyes he was pale but not ghost pale. " I actually like it" he said he looked bored though I took out a packet of smoke " want one ?" I offered " I don't smoke" he looked disgusted " you talking Jive man" I lighted my cancer stick inhaling the smoke then blowing it into his face I leaned in close to him " you're quite the hunk" I said sultry he just ignored and continued watching the film, Of course this annoyed me I got ignored looking over to dally who was throwing popcorn at some Soc girl " so what's your name?" I asked the boy he was visibly getting annoyed " its Matt now leave me alone broad" he spat he was squeezing the arm of his chair his knuckles turning white " Calm down man , how old are ya?" I grabbed his shoulder pulling him over closer to me " 17 leave me alone before I call the cops " he shoved me off standing up I smirked standing up I was a almost same height as him "come on give me a chance " I wrapped my arm around him dragging him away from the movie " fine " he sighed taking my cancer stick from me and dropping it on the ground then standing on it "but no smoking " he said " you're the girl was on the news" he said resting a hand just above my waist I nodded " I don't normally talk to greasers or hoodlums" he added bluntly I looked at him raising an eyebrow, did he think he was better then us? "You a Soc then" my grip on his shoulder tightened he let out a sigh " Middle-class" we walked around talking boy was alright even though he had an attitude but I didn't come here make a friend I just wanted to cause trouble nothing major though so I started annoying the boy asking dumb questions , smoking and blowing the smoke in his face I saw Dally he was trying flirt with some girls he looked at me and I mouthed to him "play along " He nodded knowing what I meant. " soo Matt , You've been great company really " I faked smile getting closer to him he frowned moving back a little but I just pulled him closer He looked over at the girl Dally was flirting with his eyes widened a little " that's my girlfriend she said she couldn't come cause her parents wouldn't let her" He looked down I couldn't see his face I wasn't sure if he sad angry or something else " You lied!" He shouted at the girl who looked shocked, me and dally just smiled at the couple arguing " You lied and now you going around being a Slut" he shouted I brought my arm down from his shoulder to his mid-torso smirking at the girl "is this what you do when Im not around pick up some skank?!" She screamed my smirk disappeared "I'd watch you're tongue kid and Actually I'm the one who picked up this hunk" I leaned in closer , an Idea popped into my head I looked at Dally who must of had the same idea I watched as he wrapped his arm around the girl waist " didn't I not see you leaving his house earlier " I said looking at Dally " I really enjoyed you're Company Doll... I really liked the dress you wore" Dally said kissing her cheek I saw the boy he was shaking with anger " You cheated you whore!" He shouted Dally frowned " you have a boyfriend? You said you didn't " he looked at the boy removing his arm from the girl " Hey sorry man She said she didn't have a boyfriend I wouldn't have slept with her if she did.." he apologised but I could tell how fake it Dally walked off turning the corner so no one couldn't see where he was " come on babe, she ain't worth your time if she can't keep her legs closed " I spat the girl was in tears saying it was all lies but the boy didn't listen me and him walked off I couldn't help but smile " Thanks for that I wouldn't have known she was cheating without you bringing it up " his voice was husky he turned to look at me " hey I'm gonna go now" he smiled I faked smiled back I wrapped my arms around his neck bringing him into a kiss, quickly pulled away winking at him then I walked off to where Dally was leaving the boy standing. "Time go?" He said as I turned a corner " yup" We jumped the fence out of the walking back to Curtis's were we always end up going back to.
