Prentiss' POV (Club)
"Do you want a drink?" I asked. "Scarlett?"
"No," said Scarlett and Rossi at the same time.
"This is a first but like father like daughter," I said.
"Come on, Scarlett" said Morgan. "We're going to dance."
"You guys do that," said JJ as they left. "The love birds."
"You took really good care of her, Rossi," I said. "She's a good kid."
"Any idea who her real parents are?" asked JJ.
"Yeah," said Rossi. "They're only thirty one years old."
"Wait, what?" I asked. "How's that possible?"
"They had Scarlett when they were thirteen," said Rossi.
"And they're still together?" asked JJ.
"Yeah," said Rossi.
"Where do they live?" asked Hotch.
"Vegas," said Rossi.
"Are you going to take her to see them?" I asked.
"That's when she tells me," said Rossi. "I'm not going to pressure her."
"You're a good father," I said.
Hotch's POV
"Well, whenever she's ready you gotta let her go," I said.
"I know," said Rossi. "That's the hard part."
"Prepared?" asked JJ.
"Already have," said Rossi.
"He's even prepared a lot of exits for his mansion," I said.
4 YEARS LATER
"You're being bumped up Scarlett," I said walking into the conference room. I looked at the table. "Where is she and where is Morgan?"
"They're running a little late," said JJ.
"We're here," said Scarlett. "We spent a little too much time being happy." They sat down. "It's not a crime."
"Well, it's ceremony day," I said.
"What's going on?" asked Scarlett.
"Turn in your badge," I said.
"I'm being kicked off the team?" asked Scarlett.
"No," I said as she handed me her badge. I threw it in the trash. "Congrats." I handed her the new badge. "Forget the Junior SSA Agent. You're officially a SSA Agent."
"I thought you were going to say Senior SSA," said Scarlett.
"Not quiet there yet," I said.
Rossi's POV
"After all the cases she solved she's not Senior SSA?" I asked.
"She hasn't been here that long," said Hotch.
"You've been here for ten years and you're a Senior SSA," I said. "I've been here longer than you and I'm still an SSA Agent."
"Dad, don't argue," said Scarlett. "I'm pretty sure Strauss had her reasons for making Hotch a Senior SSA."
"She did," said Hotch. "I'm head of the unit."
"That explanation was quite simple," said JJ. "Rossi, just let it go."
"I am," I said. "Letting it go."
"Why was hot shot late today?" asked Garcia.
"Yeah," said Prentiss. "You two are rarely ever late."
"I had something to do," said Morgan.
"Why were you late Scarlett?" I asked. "You're never late." I looked at her. "Especially for work."
