~Jazmine's P.O.V.~
After hearing this I look at my mate and his brother. I now know what I have to do to ensure that we win this battle. I close my eyes and take a few deep breaths to calm myself.
"Nick we have two options. Either me and Selene get these kids out of us now or you two keep fighting while we're in labor?"
"We're not missing the birth of our first born. We'll just be gone a second. How much can go wrong?"
It was Selene that answers.
"It takes hours to delivery a baby let alone a supernatural birth. There's no telling how many children we're having, and no telling how long giving birth will take. If you leave during the war you're gonna lose. Luke isn't merciful, and with the witches behind him it will be nearly impossible to stop them."
Jonathan growls, not liking his mates doubt.
"You doubt our fighters. We aren't weak my mate. We can handle them and protect you both it'll just take some careful planning."
I shake my head, someone is trying to get in my head to hear my thoughts. It's giving me a headache. Suddenly Nick is in front of me growling, looking for an enemy to attack. I grab his hand in an effort to calm him down.
"Nick calm down. Someone was trying to get in my heads to hear my thoughts. That's why my defenses went up, there's no real danger."
At my words he relax, but still silently looks for a threat. I look at Selene knowing is was her trying to hear my thoughts. If she's trying to talk using our minds it must be a private conversation. I look at Nick and Jonathan, she nods letting me know we had the same idea.
Our mates must've sensed we wanted to be alone, they both kiss us passionately before going to train for war. I look at Selene and nod for her to talk.
"They're not listening to me. Luke has been making everyone train since he took over almost twenty years ago. The witches will be able to attack from a distance, multiply, and use one attack for at least five werewolves at a time. They've been doing it so long it became natural. If they don't fully focus on the war we won't stand a chance. What are we gonna do?"
I take a moment to think. I want to be calm and in the right state of mind before I make a decision. After a few minutes I've come up with a plan.
"We'll leave the pack house and go to my castle. I'll call all werewolves to the castle for the war. The elderly, young, injured, or those unfit to fight will be underground in the safe house. I will have a team of doctors and nurses in the infirmary on stand by for when we go into labor. I'll need you to put up a barrier around the perimeter that way we'll know when they arrive. I'll leave the link open so I'll be able to see everything going on and lead them during battle while our mates are with us. After we deliver them we should heal and be able to help in battle. We'll find a way to kill Luke together, avenge your father, and let you claim your birthright. I'll bring your mom in before the war and Nick's parents so they can watch over our kids while we end the war."
We agree that my plan isn't perfect and leaves room for the unknown, but it's the best we can do on such short notice. I don't want to force my children out before they're ready, but when push comes to shove I'll have them early if it means protecting everyone.
~Luke's P.O.V.~
After another day of training I let the witches go to eat dinner. All I can think about is this war. The lunar eclipse will leave the wolves defenseless and give me the perfect opportunity to take over them too.
I'm a supernatural being like no other. I'm a hybrid of several species. My mother was part angel, witch, and fairy. My father was part werewolf, vampire, and demon. I'm the hybrid of all hybrids with every strength and no weaknesses. I've been around for centuries and no one knows how to kill me, and after I take over the werewolves the rest will fall like dominoes.
I'll rule the supernatural world forever, hell I may even take over the human world too. First I gotta get that bitch Selene back by my side so the people don't lose their faith in me. Don't worry Selene I'm coming for you, and once I find you you'll never leave my side again.
~Jazmine's P.O.V.~
It's now morning, which means there are only two days until the eclipse.
We arrived at the castle late last night and slept in the first rooms we could find. I hear cars pull up which means the wolves are here.
I quickly rush to put clothes on and leave without waking up Nick. Unfortunately, as I was getting dressed he sensed I moved and woke up to search for me.
"Good Morning Jazmine. You wouldn't be trying to sneak away from me now would you?"
I simply shake my head and roll my eyes. "Of course not my dear mate but, our army is arriving and I have to make sure everything is ready. After all the eclipse is in two days and they have no idea why they're here."
He smiles at me before rushing to put on clothes as well. We kiss passionately before we walk to our awaiting wolves.
Upon seeing me the group of at least 150 people bow down. "Please rise that is an old tradition that I never liked. You can call me the Creator but, my real name is Jazmine or Jaz for short. Now to the real reason why I called you here. An evil tyrant named Luke wants to take over our race. There will be a battle here against him and his army of witches in two days time on the night of the eclipse. It is also the day I will be having my pups so I will be a little late to the battle. Those injured, too young, too old, or unfit to fight will be protected in the safe house underground. Those willing will fight."
I walk off and motion for them to follow, which they do. I look and see Andy coming to stand by my side, as a Beta should.
"Andy will show those not fighting to where they will be during war, while I will train those that are fighting. The servants will later show you where you will be sleeping after dinner."
Everyone knows who is and isn't fight. Those fighting follow me and those not fighting follow Andy. I wait for Andy to return while giving other packs time to arrive seeing as the ones here are only the neighboring packs.
I see Johnathan and Selene walking towards me, appearing to be lost in each other. They don't notice me or anyone else in the room which causes Selene to bump into me, sending me hurtling across the room from the unsuspected force.
Jade took over instantly feeling the need to protect us. I feel this protective bubble of air surround me. I'm not even on the ground anymore. I notice everyone looking at me in fear, even Nick, the one person that shouldn't fear me.
I try to stop Jade but I can't. She's on high alert waiting for someone to come close. The last person I expected to stand out was James, my former mate that rejected me.
"Jade or Jaz if you can hear me stop. This isn't you and the people are scared. We are here to help you and will destroy any threat to you or your pups. You have to calm down so we can help, if not Luke will win this war and kill us all."
I have no idea why but his words hit home for Jade. She slowly gave me back control but, she was still on high alert.
Once I have full control I'm out of breath. I try to stand but my legs give out under me and, James being the closest person to me catches me. He runs past everyone and takes me directly to the infirmary where nurses are waiting for me.
James never leaves me side as the nurse checks me over. He just paces behind her waiting for something to be said.
"Well Jaz it just appears that using your powers puts a strain on your body, including your pups. When you fell Jade was trying to protect you but, ultimately put you in more danger. Using your powers this close to when your pups are due is dangerous Jazmine be careful."
"I barely use them as it is. I can't even remember the last time I used them it's been that long. I understand everything you're saying but, everyone and everything feels like a threat to me now."
"That's normal for your first pregnancy and you being a wolf of power makes the feeling worse. There will always be someone trying to use your children against you for leverage that's why Jade reacted the way she did. She had a rough past and still isn't completely over it and, with this war and all it's completely normal for you to feel this way. Just take it easy until the eclipse ok?"
I nod and begin to walk away until James grabs my hand. The looks in his eyes let's me know he wants to talk and, is the only reason I let him. That and he just helped me.
"Look I know what you're thinking and, I know I'm the last person you want to see but I have to talk to you. I gave the title to my sister and she recently met her mate. They took over my pack and made me the Beta. I'm the rightful ruler of the pack. It's said the only way to get my title back is to find my mate but, I rejected mine. I've changed Jazmine I really have. I didn't come here to try and win you back. I came here to help you win this war and ask that you sever our bond."
This is not what I was expecting. Him to want his title back yes, but him to want our bond severed wasn't.
Do I want the bond severed? Do I want him to suffer the pain of losing me as his mate forever? It is known to drive any wolf insane. Does he deserve to be let off so easily?
It wasn't until I looked in his eyes did I realize my answer. His eyes showed everything from guilt, regret,sadness but most of all, hope. He had hope that if our bond was severed he could move on.
I nod my head and now realize why Nick isn't in the room with me. To sever a mate bond there are certain rituals that must take place or it doesn't work.
Here goes nothing. I hope Nick forgives me for what I'm about to do.
~3rd Person P.O.V.~
Jaz stands in front of James wondering how to begin. She gets on her tip toes and kisses him softly on the lips. James, still feeling the bond responded to the touch of his soon ex-mate, grabbing her waist pulling her closer and deepening the kiss.
Nick, feeling the interaction, instantly shifts and bursts through the door. The sight before him leaves him stunned. James has his hands on his mate in places only Nick's hands are meant to touch.
Nick tries to charge at James but, Jaz puts and air shield in front of him blocking his path. He watches as his mate slowly pulls back from James and looks at him. She looks away just before she bites James's neck where a mate mark should go.
This caused Nick to go livid trying everything possible to get to his mate. He watches in agony as his mate marks another and, as James marks his mate. Before he passes out he has one thought in mind.
James is a dead wolf.

So if you're wondering why it took me so long to update wattpad was messing up and showing only half of the last chapter (Selene's Back Story) so for those readers that don't know who Luke is update the story and reread it. If that doesn't work I'm sorry.
