• Hyungwon's pov •
I pressed the elevator button and waited for it to reach my floor. While doing so, I grabbed my phone which was in my left pocket and dialed a number.
"Hello?" A loud music was heard as I sighed
"Mom, are you doing aerobics right now?" her laugh can be heard from the other line
"A woman gotta keep her body finest so their husband won't look at another dear"
"Sure whatever", the elevator door opened and I stepped inside
"So, why did you call son?" I heard the music volume was slowly lowered down
"I need to you help me convince dad", I leaned against one of the elevator wall and pressed the lobby button
"With what dear?" she sounded unsure
"I'm cancelling this fake marriage with Mr.Han's daughter", I heard her squealed like a girl that just got her first kiss
"REALLY?" she shouted
"Aish, my ear", I rubbed my ear as she cleared her throat, trying to calm herself
"What is the reason you FINALLY realized how stupid that idea is?" I swear she sometimes acted like she's in her teens years
"Well, I'm in Busan right now and Aira's here-"
"MY DAUGHTER IS THERE? Why didn't you tell me?! Are you guys back together?" She's so
loud
"Mom, keep it down or I'll hang up", I've reached the lobby and headed towards the swimming pool area.
"Sorry sorry, I'm just so excited!"
"We're not back together, yet. I think Aira still hates me and her new boyfriend is here too for some reason. I'm calling Yoora's dad later in the afternoon, can you convince dad too at that time?"
"Wait son, who's Yoora?" I laughed at her tends to forget people whom she dislikes
"Mr. Han's daughter", her tone sounded flat after I said that
"Oh, that girl. Don't worry, I'll slap some senses to your father's brain and Hyungwon-ah"
"Hm?" I replied shortly while scanning the area, pretty decent for a 5 star hotels but my family's hotel did it better.
"Don't forget to tell her you love her and fighting!" I smiled at her last remarks when I saw a familiar figure sitting at one of the pool chair while reading a thick-ass novel.
"Speaking of the angel, I just found Aira. See you later mom!" I grinned widely as my mother shouted in happiness
"Yeah Mansae! MIRA WE'RE GOING TO BE IN-LAWS!"
"Wait, are you with Aira's mom?"
"Bye son!" she cut the line off as I shook my head
She was wearing a white off shoulder dress with layers of delicate necklaces. She tied her hair in a ponytail, which what she does everytime she reads a book, and she couldn't look more attractive. Then I realized, one of her necklace, is the sun pendant necklace I gave her.
"I'm going to do what I promised you back then, stealing you back"
And with determination, I walked towards where she was sitting.
• Aira's pov •
The weather's nice, I got my green tea latte and I was enjoying every bits of life without any interruption while reading my current favorite book, Demian.
Somehow my head decided to looked up and I spotted a guy. That guy was literally glowing, he has a very handsome face with body as tall as a model, how refreshing for the eyes.
WAIT... Is that Hyungwon? Oh no.
I immediately covered my face with my book and prayed that he doesn't see me. Nothing happened for some minutes and I realized he must've walked passed me.
I sighed in relief and removed the book from my sight-
"BOO"
"ARGHHH!" I shouted as Hyungwon's face was practically in front of me. Gawd he's so attractive.
"IDIOT!" I hit his chest hard as he threw a fit of laughter
"You're the one acting like an idiot, were you trying to avoid me?" Damn he is a mind-reader
"Speaking of avoiding, I think I should leave-"
He grabbed my wrist and sat down beside me
"You are avoiding me, you won't even look at me. Do you really hate me that much?" his voice sounded hurt as he frowned. This is one of my weakness.
"No, I don't hate you. Jungkook thinks you're a threat and that I need to avoid you or else he'll drag me to places I don't want to go", I slumped on my chair as he smiled
"So you don't hate me, and of course that jerk is the reason behind this because I bet you wanted to see me too, right?" He is right once again
"No", he leaned closer and touched my necklace, which caused butterflies in my stomach
"Really? You're practically wearing the necklace I gave you. I bet you my life Jungkook didn't know about this", I mentally slapped myself
"I told you, this goes well with the outfit"
"Mhm sure, whatever floats your boat", he took my green tea latte and sipped it leisurely as if we're still together
"You need to stop drinking my drink", I snatched it away from him and sipped it on front of him
"We just indirectly kissed because you drank it too", I choked on my latte as he once again laughed wholeheartedly
"You're so red right now, this is too obvious. But it's okay because I know now and my feelings for you never changes either"
My heart was beating more faster and louder, I hope he didn't hear it.
"Y-yah, what are you trying to do? we can't do this, I mean you're going to marry-"
"I cancelled the marriage"
"Mwo (what)?!" My eyes went wide and somehow I'm feeling very bubbly inside
"You heard me, well technically still one sided but I'll make sure this marriage doesn't happen"
"I-I don't know what to say right now", I stuttered as he rested his chin on his hand and looked at me with googly eyes
"Easy, you can say 'Hyungwon oppa, you're so cool and I love you. I'm gonna break up with that relationship wrecker right now'-"
I stood up and grabbed my book to leave him. I admitted that parts of my heart wanted to say that but he still doesn't get it.
"Yah Baek Aira! Don't you dare leave me", I rolled my eyes and keep on walking. He caught up to me while panting a bit
"You literally just walked 10 steps from where we're sitting, why are you panting?"
"I'm a living stick, what'd you expect?" I almost laughed but I held it in to keep my 'mad' image
"Whatever, please go away. I don't want to cause more trouble", I sincerely asked but he grabbed my wrist
"Remember what I told you back when we first saw each other again after 4 years?" he sounded so serious now that I gulped hard at his question
"W-which one?"
"I'm going to marry you and only you. And if you happen to be in a relationship with another guy, I'll just have to steal you away"
His statement rang a bell in my head as I balled my fists. This is too much for my feels to handle.
"Y-you did say that, but-"
"I'm doing exactly that now", he pulled me close and lifted my chin up. He smirked before crashing his lips onto mine.
My eyes went abnormally wide and his lips were so soft and plump, I feel like melting. Fireworks everywhere.
My body longed for his touch and the feeling of his body pressed against mine, but the warm feeling suddenly felt cold as his lips were no longer on mine.
"See, you didn't even resist", he hugged me and damn he's wearing Bleu de Chanel, my favorite perfume of his.
"I- uhm oh my god. Screw this", I circled my hands around his neck and kissed his lips sweetly as I can feel his smile on my lips and he wrapped his hands around my waist.
We naturally broke from each other to catch our breath and it felt so hot in here.
"Never speak of this to anyone", I licked my lips as he looked at me with a confused look
"You're just gonna kiss me then left? Ouch", he pretended to be hurt as I shook my head
"I'm still in a relationship, Chae. Give time to sort things out", Hyungwon's eyes sparkled my words
"You're going to break up with him?" he jumped around like a kid as I chuckled
"Don't say it too loud. Jungkook's meeting his first love here and let's just hope that-"
"I'm literally praying to God right now", Hyungwon said as I hit his chest
"Say it nicely though. I don't want you both holding grudges at each other", Hyungwon patted my head and I looked at him with a disbelief look.
He's mature, since when?
"Wow", is all I muttered as he held my hand
"Let's go on a date", he shortly stated as I stopped him
"We can't, I told you already I'm still in a relationship. This is called cheating", I crossed my arms but he only rolled his eyes and stared at my book.
"That book, isn't that limited edition?"
"Yeah, but Hyeri got a copy of it so she handed it to me", I smiled but he suddenly grabbed the book from me.
"So this book is not original, right?"
"Hm yeah, why? Give it back", I commanded but he suddenly threw the book out to the pool
"YAH ARE YOU KIDDING ME? MY DEMIAN BOOK!" I was about to run to the pool but he trapped me by holding my waist
"I'm going to buy you a new one, the original one, but in exchange, you have to go on a date with me"
"Irrelevant", I saw my book drowned to the bottom of the pool and I feel like a part of me drown with it, lol I'm kidding but still.
"Demian original copy with hardcover and stuff. Not tempting enough?" he asked again as I sighed. It'll be nicer to read the original one, though.
"Fine", he lifted me up and hugged me
"I'm glad you're such a nerd, I can just bribe you with a book. We're going to have so much fun", he sounded so happy as I only smiled and let him hug me.
I miss you, Chae Hyungwon.
Little did they know, that Yoora has been watching all this time with teary eyes.
