"Outburst"
• Aira's pov •
I was sipping my coffee while anxiously tapping on the table. I couldn't really sleep last night, all I think about was that self-coinceted cold flower boy, Hyungwon.
"Here's your omelette, no green onions and tomato", Jungkook slid the plate to me as I smiled and nodded. He then sat in front of me with his english breakfast. He tried to talk about something but I'm not in the mood.
He must've noticed that and cleared his throat
"Something bothering you?"
"Oh? Nothing, sorry I'm still a bit drowsy", I faked a smile but I can see Jungkook's not happy at all
"You're lying, you were zoning out and I think I kinda knew why", I held the edge of my sweater when he said that
I laughed nervously at him, "You're just overreacting, Kook"
He rolled his eyes and knew I tried to avoid this topic. He shrugged and we ate quietly for a while.
"So are you going to visit her house today?" I started a conversation while munching on my omelette.
"Mhm, you're coming right?" he looked at me for a bit before putting a slice of bacon in his mouth
I scratched the back of my head and leaned closer to him
"Now that I've thought about it, I think it's better if you go alone"
"Why? Are you trying to get rid of me?" He looked furious
"Woah there, why are you so worked up? You didn't even let me explain", His face softens and shook his head
"Nothing, you were saying?"
"Don't get me wrong, but you're seeing her after years and you guys were each other's first love, wouldn't she be too salty if she sees you with another girl? It's what should be settled with only two of you, no one else"
He stayed quiet for a good one minute before he managed to utter a word
"Honestly, I don't mind about her seeing you but you do have a point. Are you sure you're okay hanging out in the hotel alone?" he held my hand as I smiled widely
"Of course! I can rent a car and go-"
"I said STAY at the hotel, babe", he casually sipped his coffee as I furrowed my eyebrows
"But why? It'll be boring", I stated
"It's just-"
"Morning!" I swear those high-pitch voice is going to haunt my dreams.
"Morning", I replied shortly but Jungkook glared at me
"You shouldn't have greeted back, now she's going to sit with us", he whispered lowly while eyes scanning Yoora's movement as she went to the salad section
"Sorry, it's out of habit", I apologized but I noticed Jungkook's looking around as if he was searching for someone else
"Who are you looking for?" I asked as he became a bit anxious
"Hyung-"
"You're early", I turned around to see Hyungwon with his casual attire and I immediately let go of Jungkook's hand
"You're not going to sit with us, are you?" Jungkook pierced his gaze towards Hyungwon as he ignored him and sat beside me
"News flash, this table fits for 4 people. You shouldn't be greedy", he crossed his legs and snatched my coffee casually before drinking it.
Somehow his sassiness made me feel butterflies inside
Yoora approached us and positioned herself beside Jungkook. Typically, I should be jealous right? But I didn't feel anything.
"Two sugars and creamer?" Hyungwon raised one of his eyebrows at me as I only grinned nervously
"Can't help it, you know I have a thing for sweet stuff"
"Aigoo, I told you already, one is enough. It's not good for your health", he unexpectedly patted my head as I can feel two pair of eyes glaring at us. I felt really uncomfortable at this situation.
"Chae", I wanted to talk to him but Jungkook stood up and grabbed my wrist
"The table's all yours, we're leaving anyways", I can't help but to feel upset though
"Yah, where are you guys going?" Yoora shouted but Jungkook kept on dragging me with him
We reached the main lobby and I let go of his grip
"Why are you being like this?" I held my red wrist as he turned around
"I can't leave you alone", his piercing gaze made me flinched as he ran through his hair with his fingers, frustrated.
"I can't leave you with him, it's just no", he shook his head as I crossed my arms
"So you're saying you don't trust me?" I crossed my arms as he stared me wide eyed
"No, it's not that"
I'm aware that Jungkook's action was totally normal but somehow it made me mad. I can totally handle things by myself, why is he so protective now? Where's the laid back Jungkook?
"It is from what I see", I heard him sighed deeply before giving in
"Fine, I'm sorry. I should trust you, I'll be going now and be back at around evening. Promise me you'll avoid him?"
I bit my lip, considering that I can have a free time on my own made me go the extra miles, even if I have to avoid Hyungwon.
Jungkook looked very uneasy at my sudden silence as he kept on tapping on his feet
"I promise"
He finally broke into a smile and loosened his shoulders
"Good", he planted a gentle kiss on my lips before going out of the lobby
"I hope it will end well!" I shouted cutely at Jungkook as he gave me a heart sign.
"And you get back together with Minyoung", I mumbled unconsiously before lightly hitting my own mouth. I proceed to the elevator and pressed the button.
"I need to get my head straight and since I can't get out of the hotel, maybe a nice relaxation by the pool would do", I happily jogged inside the elevator
I remembered what Jungkook told me earlier
"Remember Aira, stay away from Hyungwon. You can't mess this up or Jungkook won't trust you", I reminded myself repeatedly as the elevator door shut.
• Hyungwon's pov •
"Wonnie, why don't you eat?" Yoora faked a sympathy as I rolled my eyes
The thought of Jungkook and Aira together really bothered my mind. I just hate the way Jungkook looked at Aira because it's too similar to how I look at her.
"I lost my appetite, I'm going", I was about to stood up but Yoora held my hand
"Can you at least accompany me?" I balled my fists in anger
"I can't take this anymore", I said through gritted teeth as Yoora scrunched her nose
"What? Are you mad or something? Is it because of Aira-"
"Yes", she shut her mouth while looking a bit taken aback
Yoora shook her head and sighed deeply
"Why is it always Aira? I'm sick of hearing her name. Just to let you know, Wonnie, you're marrying me one way or another so you better try to fucking accept it"
"What? Do you even hear yourself right now? You said you were against this, but why do you sound like you want this marriage to happen?" I stared intensely at her as she gulped
"Jungkook's with Aira now, there's no way I- I have a chance. Besides, I have you now so-"
I stood up and slammed the table, causing Yoora to flinched and a few pairs of eyes averted their gazes to our table.
"I'm sick of this. You and I both know perfectly that I will never fall for you, it's just that I can't. I'm cancelling this marriage" Yoora looked astonished as she stood up as well
"Cancel the marriage? It can jeopardize our companies' partnership and trust me, you will not get any benefit from-"
"Bullshit, my company's fine without yours and you knew it. I'm calling your dad this afternoon" I stormed off and Yoora called me couple of times, but I ignored her.
I felt kinda bad for Yoora but I can't fake my affection towards her, it's just not the same. I can only do that to Aira which I found pathetic myself. I sighed and headed towards the elevator.
I need to calm myself down, I practically just exploded back there. Where to go? An idea crossed my mind
"Relaxing by the pool sounds nice", I reassured myself and the elevator door opened.
