Jay:

Heavy wind was blowing outside making the curtains of my window flowing. I sighed and looked at it. I didn’t bother to go near to it and remove it. The wind will apparently stop. I stay on the same position on my bed with both my arms under my head and my eyes kept looking at the ceiling.

My phone was ringing for past three hours but I didn’t bother to pick it up. It’s not like I want to but one movement of my body, I can feel the disturbance in my body and the pain in my heart. My whole body is in fire and my throat is dry. I couldn’t do anything except lying on the bed and trying to forget it.

My body was carving for it. It shook my whole body and my mind is going numb. Tears were forming in my eyes. But I won’t move nor won’t I allow it to win over me. I closed my eyes and began to think about Jess. Her smile, her laugh and her voice was echoing in my head. It’s been days since I heard her voice.

That day, when that campaign event ended, we fought. I yelled at her which I never do. I accused her something that’s not her fault. But still being a jerk I couldn’t ignore the dull and tired eyes of her when she sees me everyday. It’s been days when I held her in my arms, when I kissed her on her lips. Those eyes were sad and the dark circle around her eyes showed that she cried every night and didn’t sleep even single time. I felt guilty for making her this. But at least I have to give it a try.

When I was completely thinking about her, someone knocked the door. I ignored it but someone continued it until I stood up from my bed.

May be its Mom, who is knocking the door. She can’t understand me why I am like this? Why I am yelling at everyone and why my temper levels have grown to extreme level. I sighed and walked to the door. I glanced at the mirror and shocked looking at my image.

My hair is messy, with eyes swollen out and dark circles around it. I haven’t showered since two days and I suck. I reached one of my black goggles and wore it. Mom wouldn’t see my eyes then. I walked and opened the door.

Standing right in front of me was --- summer.

“Hey, Jay” she waved at me, nervously.

“What are you doing?” I asked her, neglecting her wave.

“Just simply visited to ask you why you didn’t come to the party?” she raised her eyebrows at me.

“I…. I didn’t want to,” I replied to her arrogantly. I didn’t want her to feel about me. When I said those words, her face fell in sadness but she recovered quickly.

“Okay, hey why are you wearing your goggles?” she pointed to my eyes.

“It’s none your business Summer,” I sighed and decided to close the door but she held her hand to stop me.

“Hey, I just wanted to say Thanks,” she smiled.

“What? Why thanks?”

“Because I heard that it was you who warned everyone about the prank that played on me,”

“What?” I stammer. How did she come to know that? Austin or Jess? They only know about it.

“Yeah, about it,” she dragged it and smiled.

I remember that day clearly. When I saw that picture, I was damn sure known who had sent that. But before dealing with it, I have to deal with those who were going to take action on summer. When I saw that picture, somewhere deep in my heart I felt the angry which turned out more when I heard those comments. That day I acted as a protective brother. She never found that I send messages to them and warned them if they tease her again, I am going to take things seriously, not until now.

No one wants to have any problems with me, they decided to stop teasing, and by few hours everything went normal.

“Whatever, I tried to help you, that’s it,” I sounded casual. She nodded.

“Yeah, while coming I met one of your friend and he told me to give you this,” she shoved her hands into her pockets and relieved a brown packet. Color drained from my face when I saw that packet in her hands. She didn’t find the change in my face. I snatched the packet before she opens it. She looked kinda shock.

“Thanks,” I closed the door harshly.

Once I closed it, I opened it quickly to see that the small white packet has been untouched. That means, she hadn’t seen it.

I breathed and relaxed for a moment. But fire was binding me with it. I threw the packet away which hit the wall with frustration. How dare he give that packet to Summer! Tomorrow, I am not going to leave him.

Summer:

“So? Everything set?” Austin asked me for the tenth time. We were standing at the other side of the building where it is lonely and usually those guys come and have their fun.

“Yes, it’s set,” I nodded for the tenth time. We both were nervous and careful.

Last night we decided to give away the packet to Jay and follow his action. I knew I have to save my brother from it. I can’t tell this to dad or mom, they would be furious. I wanted to take actions on my own, but I can’t take them alone.Austin helped me with doing this.

I glanced at my right to see Jess, nervously glancing at the school gate. I told her the last night about Jay and was worried. Now she understood about his mood swings. Neither she can’t blame him nor can she help him now. All he has to do is that he has to come over it by himself. But before he deal with himself there are someone else whom we have to deal with.

An hour passed and finally we saw them, in their usual places. There were four boys, sitting on the logs. In the four guys, I figured out the guy, Dan, whom I saw the face last night. They were seated and took out their packets. It was nearly time, when we saw Jay going towards them.

Shit! My whole plan is going down. I looked at Austin in shock and he looked at me, mirroring mine. Jess shivered but I placed my hand on her shoulder and calmed her.

“How dare you!” Jay yelled at them. They all looked at him. Dan gave him a smirk and laughed.

“Jay….Jay…Jay, what a pleasure to have you here,” he smiled and stood up.

“Screw you, man. I don’t give a shit about you, but I warned you before, never touch my sister but you again touched her. Why the hell did you give her packet?” he yelled in frustration.

Did he just call me his sister? I felt happy when I heard those words from his mouth. My heart was fluttering with excitement. Austin might have guessed it.

“Relax Summer,” he whispered. I nodded.

“Cool man, I hurt her once, we all enjoyed it. It was me who has done that prank on her. She looks so cute and innocent in that. I never knew Jay; your sister would be so hot, not until I saw her last night,” he smirked.

I shivered as goose bumps rose on my back. Never had I heard such words about me before. But listening to these words, from his mouth was not expected.

“Damn you man, don’t you dare talk about her like that,” Jay’s voice was filled with anger and warning.

“Hey, about the last night, it was our duty to give those packets once in a month. You have to take it. So, when I didn’t found you, I thought it’s better to give it to you,”

“I don’t want them, Dan. Leave me from this mess. I don’t want it now,” Jay yelled.

“No Buddy, you have to,” I heard the poison in Dan’s voice. All the guys stood up and walked to Jay. They surrounded him but Jay was glaring at Dan.

I could take it anymore. I want to help my brother. Without thinking anything further, I took out my phone. I dialed the number which I have been waiting to dial. Finally after four rings, some one picked up the phone.

“Yeah, we are ready,” I said to them and disconnected it.

“What the hell Summer? Jay is there, we can’t do that,”Austin whispered in surprise. I rolled my eyes at him.

“What do you think; I leave my brother to those bastards. Never.” I held my ground as I watch all the four guys surrounding Jay.

God Help us. Please send them…. I prayed.
