A/N Hi guys! So I know its been awhile but I have been super super busy! But I am back now! And ITS DOCTOR WHO WEEK! The 50th Anniversary is in two days! AHHHHHH SO EXCITED! And this book is almost done... I cant believe it. This book has taken me longest to write, but thats ok I suppose. Anyway! Hope you enjoy Doctor Who week! And also this chapter!

Electra’s POV
At one thirty in the morning, I rolled gently out of bed trying desperately not to wake the Doctor. I grabbed my clothes off of the chair I had left them in earlier and grabbed my boots off of the floor.
I slipped into the hall and shoved my feet into my boots. I walked quickly to Claire’s room and knocked quietly.
“Claire, it’s Electra, open the door.” I whispered as loud as possible and then knocked again. I heard movement behind the door and a few seconds later it opened to reveal a very tired and worn out looking Claire.
“Electra, it’s the middle of the night…. What the hell are you doing here?”
I pushed past Claire into her room before I answered. “I know I said we could send me back tomorrow at midnight, but the Doctor told me what happened earlier and we need to go now.” Claire had shut the door to her room and turned on a light and now stood staring at me.
“How did you even sneak over here? The entire base is on lockdown because of what happened earlier.”
I rolled my eyes and let out a frustrated groan. “It doesn’t matter how I got here Claire! All that matters is we fix this now before.” I was interrupted by a loud thunderous boom and the entire base shacking. Dust fell to the ground as the shacking stopped.
“Oh shit, Claire, we need to go now! Before this base and everything in it are destroyed.” I said as Claire nodded and rushed off to find her clothes. I frantically set about putting my own clothes that I had brought with me on and five minutes later we were ready to go.
We peeked out into the hall and found utter chaos, there were people running everywhere, half-dressed military men and fully dressed military men getting ready for battle. Me and Claire shrugged and ran out into the melee running for the lab as the entire base shook with another blast.
We ran through the large amount of dust in the air that fallen during that last blast, we did our best to avoid running into all of the other military men in the halls running frantically trying to get to their posts. I locked hands with Claire worried I might lose her in the crowd as we ran.
We were two halls away from the lab when I ran smack into someone knocking both me and Claire to the ground. As we struggled to get up Jack leaned down through the dust and helped us both up.
“Let’s go get this done Electra.” He said as I nodded and we took off down the halls. With Jack leading we reached the lab in no time and we burst inside.
“I sure hope this works this time young lady!” Jack yelled over the din of another blast as me and Claire began to power up the machine.
“The only reason it didn’t work last time was because certain people got in the way! And who are you callin young boy scout?” I yelled as another blast shook the base.
“This place isn’t going to last much longer!” Claire yelled as the machine roared to life and I strapped myself into the chair.
Jack came over to me and leaned down close. “Are you sure you know what you are doing Electra?”
“Yes, Jack, I’m sure.” He nodded and then looked at Claire who gave me a thumbs up that I returned. She brought a syringe over to me and stuck it gently into my arm.
“Just fix it, no matter what.” She whispered and I nodded as the drugs began to take effect and I heard the whirring of the machine around me as the door to the lab opened to reveal the Doctor.
I heard him scream as Jack rushed over and grabbed him, there was another blast that shook the very foundations of the base and I could hear people screaming in the hallways. As the timer began to wail Claire hit the button at the precise second and as I disappeared out of time, I could hear the faint echo of another blast and the blurry sight of the entire lab collapsing.
I awoke in a white room, I sat up quickly immediately feeling that something wasn’t right. “Ah shit, not again.” I whispered as I stood up and looked around. It was a plain white room, nothing in it. The first thought that came into my head was that I was dead.
“Hello Electra.” A voice behind me said and I spun around to see the 10th Doctor standing there smiling at me.
“Please tell me I’m not dead.” I whispered as I went slowly over to him.
“You’re not dead, in fact, you are currently being housed in the heart of the TARDIS. She picked up your conscience-ness travelling through time so she picked you up and stored you in the buffer.”
“Does she know what my mission is?” I asked and he smiled and nodded.
“Of course, and she is going to set you back on your way, right after I deliver the message she told me to give you.”
“So she created you to come and give me a message?” He nodded and I nodded back before running to him and throwing my arms around him. He hugged me tightly and kissed my head before pulling back.
“She wants me to tell you that if you are going to be successful, you have to time everything perfectly. You are going to come out of the rift and go into your younger body about two seconds before you touch the device that sends you and me into the rift. Both of us have to touch it for the device to work so as long as you stop yourself from touching the device…. The universe will go back to as it should be.”
“I know it’s going to be close, but I can do it.”
“One more thing Electra, once you set everything right, the other universe will never have existed, and since you didn’t travel with a TARDIS you will have no recollection of anything that happened in the other time-stream.”
I felt a pang of sadness when he said this, I already knew it of course, but I was trying not to think about it. I nodded and held back the tears as 10 gave me a small smile. “Are you ready Electra?”
“I’m Ready.” I said as I felt everything fade away again…..
Claire’s POV
She was gone, just like that, her body was still here, but her conscience had went back in time. Jack called for me to get out of here as he dragged the Doctor out. I ran for the door as a huge blast hit, I got out of the lab right as a huge section of the ceiling came crashing down.
Jack took my hand and I took the Doctor’s hand in my free one and gave it a squeeze before pulling my gun. “We may not live through this, but we are not going down without a fight.” I said and Jack nodded his gun drawn and ready.
We heard the sounds of Dalek weaponry coming ever closer to us. We didn’t stand a chance, after all this time, they had gotten in. We braced ourselves for whatever came around that corner. We could hear it drawing closer. And as the first Dalek rolled into our sights, there was someone in front of us that made us take a step back.
“Hello my lovelies! How have you all been enjoying the universe I created?” I sneered as Gildrek slid over to us in his impeccably clean clothes for someone who was walking through a war zone.
“Well, well, where is Electra? She has always been my favorite and I was looking forward to seeing her again before I kill all of you.”
We all said nothing and Gildrek waited for a minute before smiling. “So be it then.” He said as he turned on his heel and signaled with his finger at a Dalek. “Kill them.” He said and that was our cue to start firing.
The last thing I saw before I was hit, was Gildrek walking away thinking he had won, well he hadn’t, Electra was going to succeed and everything would be fine. Then I felt the ray hit me and as I hit the floor next to where the others had fallen, I smiled knowing it would all be okay, before everything went black.
Electra’s POV
I felt myself appear in my younger body, I felt my hands moving towards the device. I desperately back-peddled and let out a scream as I hit the floor breathing heavily. Everyone was staring at me, as I felt the world spin I could see it before my eyes. People were talking to me but I couldn’t hear them.
Images flew in front of my eyes, images of things that had happened, of me and the Doctor being trapped, of Gildrek taking over, of Claire and Jack and everyone lying dead in the far future. I heard Gildrek scream as everything started going in reverse. And then everything went black.
