I left behind a bleak past
Of dead oxygen which denied me breath
I'm left alive with hatred
My soul feeds off my inner pollution
I cajole my heart to believe in hope
I can't live unbalanced in this state
I fight my recalcitrant state constantly
Winning is never a choice in harmony
The abyss calls to my soul like a magnetic field
I'm slowly drawn to the emptiness,
The silver line between the living and the dead.
I'm a sailor of two ships, hence bound to sink
I pray Poseidon hears my faint orison
The future never looked brighter
Than the eye of the storm
The shadows in the dark woo me
I feel darker within
But I find the light inside
I always do
For one can't live without the other
Then none would be
I was torn to pieces, but I heal daily
My pain becomes my joy
My hatred becomes my love
My dawn becomes my twilight
And soon, my future will become my past...
