"Got caught in a dream world,

Where you are my dream girl,

Since you first came around and talked to me.

But my words got choked up, wish I would've spoke up,

But now you and me are only make believe."

- "Tongue Tied" by Stereo Skyline

-----------------------------------------------------

"Calm down, Ariana. Everything's gonna be just fine. Trust me."

I nodded as Kerri puts her hands on my shoulders.

"All you have to do is just walk up to him, say you feel really really bad about the fight you two had and just leave."

"Wait, but don't I have to wait for him to respond? If he forgives me or not?" I asked her with a questioning look.

"Nope, just walk away." she replies.

I gave her an unsure look and sighed, "Okay...I'll do it."

"Good girl. You can do it, Ari." she says as I slowly and steadily made my way towards Derek, who was talking to his new jock friends.

One of his friends spots me and smirks and whispers something to Derek.

Derek turns to me and gives me a flat look.

    "Um, hi...Derek." I greeted, shyly.

    "Hey." he responds.

"I want to talk to you for a second. Privately." I told him.

He looks at his friends and they nodded. Then, they walk off, leaving just me and Derek alone.

"So, you want to tell me something?" he asks.

I nodded, "Yeah...it's about the fight we had. Look, I'm really sorry. I didn't mean to yell at you or swear at you or anything bad that I did on that day. I just...I'm really sorry."

He looks into my eyes and then looked away, avoiding eye contact with me.

"You don't have to forgive me. I know it's my fault. I just wanted to talk to you about it and to apologise...um, I guess I'll see you later." I said and walked back towards Kerri, pretending to put something in her locker as she watched me.

    "So....?" she asked, curiously.

I sighed, "I apologised to him. And walked away like you told me to do."

    "And he said?"

"Nothing really. You told me to not wait for him to respond and to just walk away."

"Right, I forgot about that." she said and smiled, "Great job."

"Thanks. We better go to study hall. We don't want to be late."

"Right, right!" she said, brightly and we headed to our study hall classroom.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Derek never responded to my apology throughout the school day.

I guess my apology wasn't convincing enough.

After riding the bus home from school, Kerri decided to come over. Mom, as always, happily welcomes her into the house and we hung out in the basement. With Carter.

Which was great because they finally have feelings for eachother. After 7years, they finally have feelings for eachother.

But it's a sad thing that Kerri already has a boyfriend, Jesse.

We were all sitting down in the lounge chairs in the basement, staring at a blank TV screen.

"So...who else is bored besides me?" Carter asks us, flatly.

    "I am." I replied.

"How about we play 'Never have I ever'?" Kerri suggests with a smile.

    "Nice, I like tha---"

"But we can't drink." I said, cutting off Carter.

"We don't have to have alcohol for this. How about just root beer? It's close enough, right?" Kerri says.

I looked at Carter and he nodds, "I think there's root beer in the fridge."

He gets up from his seat and walks over to the fridge behind him. He opens the fridge and takes out a two liter bottle of root beer. He closes the fridge and then grabs three cups from the cabinet.

He walks back over and hands a cup to me and then Kerri.

I looked over at Kerri as Carter poured generous amounts of root beer in each of our cups.

    Kerri was smiling.

Not a usual smile she would do to flirt with boys at school or the welcoming smile that she gives to people when she first meets them.

    It was...a very suspicious smile.

Who knows what she's thinking of right now.

"Okay, who wants to start?" Carter asks us.

"I will!" Kerri chirped, "Never have I ever...shoplifted."

We all looked at eachother, waiting until someone takes a sip of their drink.

Then, Carter lifts his cup up to his lips and takes a sip.

"Carter, since when did you shoplift?" I asked him, in shock.

"I stole a pack of gum in 8th grade and a bottle of Coke in Freshman year." he replied, bravely.

    "Carter..."

"It's true. Did you think I've never shoplifted before, Ari?"

I looked down at my drink, "Yes."

"It's your turn, Carter!" Kerri said, brightly, "We're going counter clockwise."

Carter sighs, "Never have I ever...cried during a movie."

Kerri and I both took a sip of the root beer and then looked back at Carter who just sat there.

    "That's a lie!" Kerri shouted.

"Carter, I'm sure you cried at least once during a movie. Remember when we first watched the Titanic?" I told him.

"That movie was sad as fuck but I didn't cry." Carter admitted.

    "Liar." Kerri muttered out.

"I'm telling the truth. I'm a very honest person, Kara."

    "It's Kerri."

    "Close enough."

"Alright, is it my turn now?" I asked before they start arguing.

Kerri and Derek are good friends but argue over the smallest things.

"Never have I ever..." I started, "eaten a bug."

Carter takes a sip of his drink as Kerri and I stared.

"You're sick." Kerri said in disgust.

"It was actually pretty good." Carter said, smiling.

"When did you eat a bug?" she asked.

Carter continued smiling and turned to me, "Remember that time at the mall?"

    "Oh my god, Carter."

"What? What happened at the mall?" Kerri asked.

"Carter bought a box of flavored crickets at Hot Topic and ate the whole entire box." I answered.

"Ew! Carter! What the fuck?!" Kerri shrieked.

"Salt n' vinegar crickets are pretty good."

"Okay, okay, who's turn is it now?"

"My turn." Kerri said, still disgusted from Carter's comment, "Never have I ever...gone skinny dipping."

Carter took a drink and so did Kerri herself.

After that, they turn to me.

"I am not surprised, Ariana." Kerri said, laughing.

"I don't think it's a smart idea. You could get caught by the lifeguard or the police. You could get into trouble." I said.

"Aw, Ariana. Innocent, sweet little Ariana." Kerri joked.

"Alright, never have I ever pushed someone out a window." Derek said and took a sip of his root beer.

Kerri and I both stared at him in shock.

"What? He was pissin' me off. And besides, it was on the first floor. Relax." Carter said.

"Do you sometimes regret being related to him?" Kerri asks me.

    "Hey!" Carter snaps.

"Never have I ever gotten lost in the woods." I said, getting back on track with the game.

Carter takes a sip as Kerri and I giggled.

"Mom, dad, Ariana and I were all camping once. And I decided to go fishing alone and then I got lost from there since it was dark outside by the time I finished fishing." Carter explained.

    "Oh Carter..." I said, disappointed.

    "Hey, but it was fun!"

"Never have I ever broken a bone before." Kerri said.

We all took a sip of our drink that time.

"Hey my root beer's gone. I win!" Carter said with smile.

"How? I swear, your cup was full when we started. It can't be gone. We like...just started." Kerri said, confused.

"You took big sips, didn't you?" I asked him.

    "Man, I love root beer."

    "Cheater!" Kerri shouts.

"I am not a cheater! I play fair!"

    "Cheater! And a liar!"

"Don't make me smack you, Kara!"

'It's Kerri, okay?! It's Kerri! Remember it, Carter!"

    "Same thing!"

    "It is not!"

    Oh god.

    Here we go again.

---------------------------------------------

Alright, I definitely deserve some love for posting this chapter up two days early for you guys. :)

When winter break, summer vacation or any long period of time without school comes, I get bored easily. Friends are away, parents are constantly nagging me into studying (wtf, who does that during break?! Sorry if one of you do, though. Just my opinion, that's all.)/

I'm still typing up future chapters of this story but other than that, it's pretty damn boring in my house right now. This morning while reading some stories on here, I was like "I'm bored, maybe I'll just upload a chapter." I'm not kidding. I was LITERALLY like that.

So yeah, sorry about my little rant there. I just wanted to share some blurb about my random, boring life.

Before I go, I'd wanna ask you guys about the cast for this story. The cast for this story doesn't seem to match any of the characters that much. And it's really bothering me,

So, I'd like to ask you guys to pick out the cast. BUT (yes there is a but...pffft, that sounded funny xD) there are some things I want to say about it:

I want to keep Travis Caldwell as Carter Rhodes. He looks like a Carter and I can imagine him doing things Carter would do (like deeply caring for his sister, throwing people out a window, milk spilling out of his nose, you know...Carter stuff) :)

I kinda, sorta like Lily Collins as Ariana Rhodes but something inside me is forcing me to replace her with someone else. :/

I don't like Lucas Till as Cameron Ford AT ALL. Lucas Till doesn't look Cameron material. I have no idea why I chose him in the first place -__-

I like Brittany Curran as Kerri Jenkins. I wanna keep her :)

I don't really like Liam Hemsworth as Derek Arwin. Sure Liam's hot but I know he's not a perfect actor for Derek.

So yeah, those are just the limitations for the casting. All suggestions are welcome :)

Thanks so much for reading this ginormous blurb about the casting and the pointless rant about boredom. :D

Oh and remember to vomment on this chapter :D
