I planted my feelings on your garden without your permission. I watered them with signs and metaphors all these years. I planted in the shadiest part of your garden where it could only catch a tiny glimpse of the sun. I was scared of the sun even if it was needed by my plant to live. I was scared of its rays that could likely blew my cover. I was scared that when it finally shine upon my plant, you would see what I really planted— not the flowering friendship you thought we have but the deep rooted love I've been hiding all these years. At times, when a tiny ray hits a portion of its leaves, I get both hopeful and scared; hopeful that you would finally see my plant for what it really is, and you would water it with your love. And at the same time scared that you would uproot this poor plant from your life.
