CHAPTER 28
SAVING ABEL
ASH POV
Caine and Ainle sat somberly at the breakfast table holding their sisters as I lifted Fin on my hip. They look like they are about two now and I try not to let in unnerve me as I sit across from the boys. I kiss Fin on top of her head as I speak.
"We'll save him."
"Momma." Startled by the high voice that I had never heard before I look down at Fin. She smiles at me.
"Affa, momma, affa." Confused I look to Liam. I feel a tug on my shirt to see Fin's lip quivering.
"Ab, Affa." Why did I think she was trying to tell me something. A wail comes from her lips as she looks to Serenity, whom Caine is holding. Serenity looks up at Caine the expression on her face much older than a two year old should have. Her swirling colored eyes turn to mine as she sits straighter on Caine's lap and speaks.
"Abel, Alpha, you." Fin stops crying and throws a wide smile at her sister before laying her head on my shoulder and nuzzling me. As the words connect I stand from the table and hand Fin to Liam as I grab Con's hand.
"Liam can you watch the kids?" Con raises a brow as Riki walks into the room with Luke behind her. Gabe had left to go get the kids and bring them here so they could stay close by with Abel unconscious. "Riki, I need you to tell me where the clan house is in Ireland. I need to announce my title to the pack." Riki raises a brow at me and I huff before stepping forward and hugging her close.
"I'm sorry sis for what I said but right now I need to go save my son." Riki holds me close for a second before pulling back to look at me.
"How?" I shrug and look back at the girls.
"I don't know but the girls think it's the way to go." Riki's eyes widen as she steps out of my hug to look around me at the girls. They grin at her and wave as they talk at once.
"Ri, play." Riki choked on her own spit for a minute before smiling widely.
"One sec babies and your cousins will be here soon." She looks back to me and kisses my cheek. "Go save Abel babe. We got this just take your...boys with you." At her words Bruiser, Re, and Cer smile and step forward as Con grumbles under his breath.
"Boys, my bloody arse more like a bunch of Gobshite's." I raise a brow at him as the boys step close so I can port all of us. Liam chuckles behind me as Bruiser cuts his eyes to Con with a wide grin on his face.
"Twats. Your man just called us a bunch of twats." Con growls at him and I port us quickly before he kills Bruiser.
IRELAND
I pull back from Con as I blink at my surroundings. Lush green grass covers the lawn and the castle is completely covered with vines except for the windows. A light rain drizzles down on us as the boys take a step back from Con and I. I reach out and grasp his hand as Angle walks out of the castle doorway. I scowl at him as I reach out and grasp Con's hand. Hopefully that might keep him from killing Angle. Somehow I didn't think Angle and Con's personalities will mix well. A woman with bright purple hair and violet eyes follows out behind him. Her expression is cool as she eyes Bruiser, Cer, and Re. Angle throws an arm around her as he stops in front of us. Con growls as Angle eyes me up and down.
"Well, hello their my soon to be Queen, how about we go out some time. It seems like your mate here is a little uptight. Hopefully that other mate of yours is more fun." Con snarls at him as the woman elbows him in the stomach. He grunts and looks over at her. "You'll have to hit harder than that to hurt me Avon." She raises a spot on his shoulder that causes him to yelp and pull back his arm. She ignores him and looks at Con.
"You should ignore him. Angle has a psychological need to enrage the other people around him. Personally I believe that it is a testosterone driven urge to provide himself with arousal." Con chokes as the boys roar with laughter. Angle starightens to glare at her as Bruiser speaks.
"You just said that he gets off on pissing people off." Avon blinks and tilts her head to look up at Bruiser.
"Yes, I believe that's what I said. Would you like me to analyze you now?" Bruiser grins as Cer elbows him.
"She's a feisty little thing isn't she brother?" I glance at Bruiser who's grinning as he sticks his hand out to Avon.
"I'm Bruiser. And these are my brothers Cer and Re." She stretches out her hand as she speaks.
"Your named after Cerberus, the three headed hell hound of the underworld?" I cough and Bruiser laughs as he grasps her hand.
"Actually we are the three headed dog of the underworld just in human form, protecting our Goddess, Ash." Avon starts to speak as sparks jump from her hand to Bruiser's. I grin as Angle gapes at Bruiser as he pulls Avon into his arms.
"Oh, you sweet little firefly. This will be a mating made in heaven. Say hello to your mates." She glances from Bruiser to Cer and Re as a smile comes across her face. Angle chokes and leans closer to me.
"You do know that this is the girl your babysitting and she's the Queen of the Sidhe's sister. Her 9 year old sister until a year ago." Con leans into my ear.
"This is going to be very interesting." I nod and glance over to Bruiser, Cer, and Re who are flirting wildly with Avon, who is laughing at something they said. I glance at Angle as I speak.
"We need to do the initiation ceremony. We believe it will help us wake up my son." Angle nodded as he glanced back to Avon.
"It's a good thing I'm taking over as Beta for your sister because this shit is going to get ugly." Con chuckles as we start to follow Angle into the house. The boys and Avon follow behind us.

I stare at the large pack of Weres in front of me and glance over at Con. He has on his 'I want to kill them all' face. Probably cause the whole pack is glaring at me as Angle tries to quiet them down. He was right about the whole 'not a good Alpha' thing. I gesture to Con and he tilts back his head and howls. The pack falls silent as I step forward to place a hand on Angle's shoulder. Con growls and I roll my eyes.
"It's okay Angle I can do this." He nods and steps back as I look into the sea of faces. I take a deep breath as I fight not to tremble. I hate crowds.
"Look, I know your pissed that a Wereleapord is becoming King of the Wolves but as my mate Con here would say, you'll get the fuck over it." Con snorts and a man pushes to the front of the crowd. He's huge even bigger than the boys. I blink as the boys and Con crowd at me at my back. Avon stands beside Bruiser. I raise a brow as he speaks.
"We don't need a little whore as our Queen." His face flashes in my mind and brings back memories of other times as a quiver of fear races through my body. I push it back and raise my chin as I step forward so I'm inches from him. I hear growls from behind me but I ignore them as I look at the man closer and I realize who he is. I look back to the boys.
"Stop growling and let me handle this." They immediately stop at my new Alpha tone and Con clears his expression of any emotions as I look back to the man.
"Todd is dead Gareth. I killed him myself." The man looks at me with relief in his eyes as his shoulders slump.
"I'm sorry Ash. I saw you and it all came back." I step forward and hug the man that had been tortured and locked in a freezer a few times when Todd had come to visit me and the old King brought a tiny five year old Gareth with him. I rub Gareth's back as I look back at Con.
"Remember the man from the park?" Con's eyes flash and I look at Gareth. Con steps forward and places a hand on Gareth's shoulder. He pulls from my embrace and looks shamefaced at Con.
"I'm sorry Alpha." Con snorts.
"Lad, we've gotta list of people we'll be killin fer hurtin our little Kitten. Would ye like to add a few names to tha list Beta?" Gareth's eyes widen as he nods and the crowd cheers. The boys step back as Angle walks up.
"I officially speak for Queen Ana and this pack when I say we officially accept Ash, Con, and Liam as our Kings and Queen. Gareth is now your Beta as I am Beta to the Queen of the Leopards." Gareth looks torn as he glance from me to Angle.
"Angle...." Angle shrugs and steps around me to punch the bigger man in the arm.
"You should have told me what he did to you brother. I'd have at least gotten you away from him." Then Angle turns to me as he pulls a knife out of his boot. I shake my head and pull out my dagger. His eyes widen at the dangerous looking dagger that's bigger than his.
"Shit woman. Where the hell did you hide that?" I laugh.
"Queen Riki gave it to me as a birthday present. She said it slides through meat and bone like butter." Angle gulps and I slash my hand as he slashes his. We press our palms together as power flows through me from every Werewolf in the country. I channel it down sharing it with my family and I feel something open inside of me. I feel my connection to my children like they are standing right next to me even Abel. I close my eyes as I focus on him and ignore everyone else around me.
ABEL'S MIND
ASH POV
I see him huddled in the corner with his arms wrapped around him as I approach. Wild eyes meet mine as he snarls at me. I ignore it as I kneel in front of him.
"Abel your sister is fine and so am I." He shakes his head.
"No. I don't want to be weak anymore." I reach out and cup his cheek.
"Baby, I am Queen of the wolves now. If you want to be eighteen and strong. Then I'll make all three of you adults right now. I know you've been through a lot baby and if that makes you feel safe then I'll do it right now." Abel's eyes clear as he really looks at me.
"Momma? You're really here?" I smile and kiss his cheek.
"Yes baby. Now let me make you big and strong so I can wake you up to protect your sisters. We miss you baby." Abel's eyes fill with tears as he throws himself in my arms and I let raw undulated power pour from me to him and his brothers.
BACK IN IRELAND
ASH POV
"Kitten?" I blink and look up when I realize Con is holding me in his arms.
"Kitten, did you just?" I smile and nod as Con cheers and sweeps me up bridal style into his arms. He looks at our pack as he speaks.
"Our boy just woke up people so we need to leave for now. We'll be back soon with our children until then Beta Gareth is in charge. Take us home baby." He looks down at me as the boys, Avon, and Angle crowd closer so I can port us home to our family.

When we got home the girls are sitting in the living room floor playing with their cousins. Riki is sitting in a chair watching in amusement as Liam, Lucas, and Gabriel pace in front of three very large men. When we appear they spin around as Con sets me on his feet. Ignoring them I walk over to the three large men. I look at the two dark haired ones. They look exactly alike except for the scar on the slightly bigger one's eyebrow and the sorrowful look on his face. I step forward and hug him close.
"Abel." He laughs as Caine grumbles beside him.
"Momma I have to pay him twenty bucks now." I laugh as Abel swings me in a circle before setting me on my feet. I cup his jaw as he speaks.
"You saved me Momma." I feel tears sliding down my cheeks from him to Caine to Ainle. Abel wipes the tears from my cheek. "Momma, what is it?" I sniffle and let him go to wipe my cheeks.
"Nothing baby. It just means I'm happy. If it wasn't for your fathers I would never have you or your sisters or my boys." I feel Con and Liam step up behind me as they pull me into their arms and speak as one.
"No, Kitten we would be lost without you." I laugh and lean further into them as I tilt my head back to look up at Liam.
"And to think I thought he hated me and you were in different." Liam leans down and nuzzles my cheek as he speaks.
"Lassie, ye had us tha first time ye spoke ta me." Con snorts and muzzles my other cheek.
"Kitten, you had me the first time I saw you practicing with that sword of yours." Caine, Abel, and Ainle groan as Con kisses my lips and Liam licks my ear. Then all three of them speak at the same time.
"Momma, Da, Daddy, we're RIGHT here." As is kiss my mate I realize that sometimes everything does turn out all right.
