--- --- ---

Mia's visit was short, she only stayed for one night, unfortunately, but I really did appreciate that she visited even though she has uni to deal with.

Much to her chagrin, she didn't have a Yorkshire pudding, but she did have Yorkshire tea since it was my favourite and the only brand we kept in the house. I told her she really didn't have to try it just because 'Yorkshire' was in the name, but she can be extremely stubborn sometimes.

Today was Casey and Harry's dance competition and as I was getting ready, I had realised I haven't actually been out in a long time, that's if you exclude visiting people's houses. I took a deep breath and opened the doors of my wardrobe, looking at the tower of clothes enthusiastically.

Today I was going to make an effort.

I was going to change into the old Flynn because he had some sort of fashion sense.

I was going to look hot.

I smiled to myself at that last thought and dug my hand through the clothes I had shoved to the back of my closet when I organised everything that one night after coming home from uni. I had put all of those clothes in a box so when I pulled it out with great difficulty and threw it on my bed, I dusted the lid off like they do in movies.

It wasn't even dusty.

As soon as I pulled the lid off, I stared at the colourful, provocative items of clothing all piled up. I put provocative very loosely, they weren't like that, at least not all of them, but what they were was the fashion of high school's past, so partially smart casual, partially revealing. Some of the clothes were sort of out there, if you know what I mean.

I used to read a lot of teen vogue.

The piles were organised neatly and I thank myself for doing so. I was easily able to pick out my favourite pair of ripped jeans, they were grey acid wash - meaning they had more than a few shades of grey on them - and stopped short at my ankles. I usually rolled them up there because well, fashion. I liked these jeans because of the fitting, they looked tight and uncomfortable, but they didn't feel like it at all, it almost felt like I was wearing my most comfiest pair of sweatpants.

I lay the jeans across on my bed neatly and took several glances from my shirt pile, trying to figure out what I could pair this with. It was just a grey pair of jeans, so I guess it wasn't as difficult as it could've been, but for some reason, I kept pushing myself to try harder.

I wanted to fierce as fuck after all.

I finally settled on a simple navy t-shirt that that was so long that the hem was way past my ass and at the back of my thigh instead. I remember being told by so many people how stupid I looked, but they're the ones who looked stupid - they didn't read Vogue.

I snickered to myself and went through my wardrobe again, pulling out my favourite fitted black blazer since I was told to dress smartly, it would also be pretty cold tonight and I had a terrible immune system so I wasn't risking anything.

I threw it all on the bed and packed the rest of the clothes away and shoved it all into the far depths of Neverland - or in this case, my wardrobe - and raced to get all my clothes on quickly since we were actually supposed to leave ten minutes ago.

I finished my look by quickly grabbing my watch from my desk, a white handkerchief to put in the blazer pocket (because my outfit wouldn't be so drool worthy without it) and my white Adidas trainers that I just wore everyday.

I hastily ran downstairs, seeing that everyone was already waiting for me at the foot of it, and grabbed my phone from the countertop. I didn't even spare a glance to anybody as I opened the door and stepped outside in the cold January air.

"Come on, let's go, let's go!" I clapped, rushing everyone, excluding Harry and Casey, since they've been there since the afternoon to practice and it was now six thirty.

Everyone hopped in the car, of course, Karen was driving, Wendy was sat beside her, Tasha and Dad in the backseat and then Ben and I right at the back. I hated the back of the car, it was always so squishy and there was barely any space for both Ben and I since we both big, grown men that took up a lot of room because of one, my height, and two, Ben's big broad shoulders and wide chest.

The place we were going to only had a minuscule car park, we decided to carpool and make our way together. I wasn't such a big fan of it, but Dad was all about saving money on petrol and lowering pollution levels.

Karen started driving and I took my phone out from my pocket and started scrolling through Facebook, I was pretty disappointed by the lack of new posts recently, I was half expecting somebody from Kingston High to be pregnant, but none of them were.

Some of my friends posted photos of their fresher's week during uni and I felt a little pang of jealousy in my chest when I realised how much I missed out because I was depressed and not feeling it.

My scrolling stopped short when I could feel eyes on me, I turned to be whose eyes were indeed, on me. I cocked a brow at him but he didn't say anything.

"I know I look great. Take a picture, it'll last longer." I muttered.

"No, actually, you didn't do your hair." He chuckled, "it's everywhere, I never realised your hair was curly."

My eyes widened and in a heartbeat, my hands flew to my hair, trying to tame it down by combing through it with my fingers.

"Here." He said, raising his hands up, I was confused as he bought them to my head and I half expected him to just ruffle it all up just to piss me off, but he didn't, he tidied it up.

He slicked my hair back a little, like he does with his usually, but it didn't make much of a difference, I guess when I get to the place, I'd have to use water.

"Thanks." I muttered as he dropped his hands again. My cheeks flushed so I turned away to face out the window instead, even though it was dark, I still felt a little conscious of it.

"You look... Good." He commented, then cleared his throat, "I mean, different. A good different."

I turned to face him again and had to bite my lip down hard so that I could stop myself from grinning from ear to ear, "thanks." I repeated, "these are the clothes I wore in Kingston, haven't worn them since."

"I know." He commented, "anybody would recognise those grey jeans since you wore them pretty much everyday."

"I did not!" I would never wear the same pair of jeans twice in the same week, at least the old me didn't.

Ben started smirking and I still couldn't decide whether or not I liked that smirk, I used to get it from him just before he would taunt me back in school but now, it just has a different meaning.

I couldn't meet his eyes, or that smirk, so I took a a glance to his outfit, but it was dark and I couldn't see much.

What I could see was checks, of course he'd wear something checkered, it's pretty much the only pattern in his closet. He wasn't dressed as smartly like me, but that was expected since Ben didn't do smart. Need I remind you that he wore tattered converses to prom and his tie wasn't even done properly on that night either.

Over the checkered top, he wore a black bomber jacket with an unnecessary amount of silver zips. I couldn't tell what trousers he wore or what shoes he had on, but I'd expect them to be dirty and old, the majority of his shoes were like that.

"You don't look too bad yourself." I commented with a smirk, he started grinning.

"You're only saying that because I'm wearing the shirt you bought me for christmas."

I raised a brow since I couldn't even tell it was the shirt I bought him, and just to check, I moved his jacket out the way. He was right, the shirt was the same red one I bought for him, it had black buttons and three colour tones.

"I actually didn't know." I chuckled, "to be honest, I would've thought you'd burn it."

He was about to open his mouth, but his voice was cut off by Wendy's. "We're here!"

Looking around, I saw that indeed, we were in a car park and because Karen was driving, we were perfectly positioned in a bay. If it were dad, he'd spend ages trying to straighten the car up, but in the end, he doesn't really do a good job. Sometimes it was funny and he'd get so frustrated that he'd just up and go out the car, leaving me and or Karen to fix his terrible parking.

We all hopped out the car and dad frantically got organised, he had a fanny pack around his waist and I wanted to giggle at what a typical dad he was.

He checked it throughly before walking ahead of us to the building, we all just followed him and tried our best to catch up to him.

There was only a small queue at the front where we get our tickets checked because we were already kind of late, as soon as we got past those, I made a beeline to the men's bathroom, which didn't have a queue, unlike the women's.

I went in, fixed my hair, and quickly ran out and straight towards the theatre. Thankfully, it had only just started and the spokesperson was walking to the centre of the stage, she had on a beautiful red dress with sparkles, it reached the floor and there were small embellishments at the bottom.

If I remember correctly, our seats were near the front on the left side, so I awkwardly tiptoed down the steps and caught sight of a familiar mop of blonde hair.

After sticking my crotch in a lot of people's faces in order to get to my seat, I noticed my seat was next to Ben, and therefore, I'd have to stick my crotch in his face too.

I'm betting he accidentally on purpose spills his drink.

With a deep breath, I prepared myself to wiggle past him, he tried his best to give me more room by moving his knees to one side.

This reminds me too much of what happened the night he stayed over on New Years's.

The spokesperson kept droning on about her past as a dancer, it wasn't that interesting, everyone looked they were practically going to sleep.

I squished past Ben, not even glancing to him since well, my crotch was in his face and it would be plain awkward looking at him at this very moment.

Just one small shove and...

"-stay protected, kids! Safe sex is a must and we will be selling condoms just outside!" The spokesperson said in her thick American accent, my eyes widened and I was caught of guard by what she said.

I fell on Ben, he had to abruptly move his head away otherwise we'd both hit ours together, which would be super painful.

"This is a whole new meaning to a kinky relationship, didn't realise you'd be the exhibitionist type-" he stopped short when he saw my glare, or flushed cheeks, whichever really.

I snorted to myself and looked at him, "why the hell is she talking about safe sex at a dance competition?"

"Why don't you get off me and I'll tell you all about it."

"I'm pretty comfortable here." I shrugged, relaxing into his chest before then glanced to my dad, he was too focused on the stage to notice I was sat on Ben.

"Well, the competition has a lot of  companies that it's sponsored by, and Durex is one of them." He chuckled and then put his arms around me and pushed me off.

I relaxed into my own seat with a chuckle and sat bored out of my mind as I waited for the woman to finish speaking, in the meantime, Ben stretched his arm out to rest behind my seat and my cheeks flushed again, I was so glad that it was dark here, I knew he would constantly be making fun of me if she saw how red I was right now.

His hand traced up my neck and all I could do was sit frozen in my seat, like a robot, I tensed as his cold fingers touched the back of my neck and went through my hair.

Then I started thinking about stupid scenarios, like what if that wasn't his hand and it was just a stranger's instead? Ugh, I hoped to god that I wasn't getting groped by a stranger.

Ben's hands reached the top of my head and before I could do anything about it, he ruffled it all up, completely messing up my hard work that took a whole five minutes.

"Ben!" I whisper shouted.

He snorted.

I turned to face him to hit his shoulder, but right before my hand could make contact, he caught it. Damn he has fast reflexes.

"That's not fair."

"Life's not fair." He bit back with a smirk.

"We all know it's not." I retorted, placing a hand on his thigh with a smirk on my lips. He tensed, but I could tell he was just so lost for what to do.

Slowly, I traced my hand towards the inner part, and that's when he stopped me from doing anything else.

"Sit on your hands." He barked.

"What?"

"You heard."

"You can't tell me what to do."

He started grinning like the Cheshire Cat.

"If you want your phone back-" he waved my phone in my face, "-you'll have to sit on your hands."

I grit my teeth and went to reach for my phone, but he just moved it farther away from me.

"Ben!" I hissed, trying to keep quiet since the entire theatre was silent with the only sound being the spokesperson's voice.

"Sit on your hands so I know you're not going to grope me again." He smirked. I glared at him but did as I was told anyway. I can't believe he's making me do this.

He bought the phone into my line of vision again and pressed the home button, making the phone illuminate in his face. He hissed and shielded his eyes from it and I couldn't help but giggle since I don't think he's ever resembled a cat so much.

"Why're you laughing? You're the one sitting on your hands." He joked, I clenched my jaw and faced to the stage. I moved my hands from underneath me and intwined them in my lap instead.

"We have many great acts here tonight, eight to be exact, but only one will be able to move onto the bigger leagues!" The spokesperson said, "let's just get started with it!"

Everyone cheered and hollered as the woman left the stage and the spotlights illuminated onto the three judges right in front of the stage.

The red curtains opened and there were more hollers and cheers as the first dance group prepared themselves and got into the right positions, then the music started, some heavy drum and bass, and everything just happened so quickly that my eyes could barely follow what on earth was happening.

Then they finished, a round of applause was given before the curtains shut and opened again, revealing a new group who spared no time to start, they were already on their feet before the curtain was completely open.

"When is All Saint coming on?" I whispered. All Saint was Casey and Harry's group name.

"They're the sixth group."

I rolled my eyes and leaned back in my seat, I didn't realise that they were sixth, otherwise I would've have been rushing.

Don't get me wrong, some of these acts were incredible, pulling some of the most weirdest moves I've ever seen, but surprisingly, it went with the song.

I could've sworn, every single group used at least one Rihanna or Beyoncé song, I only grinned and sang along, even going as far as wiggling in my seat.

After four acts, I could feel this surge of energy run through me. Damn, I wish that I took up dancing, it looks like so much fun. Instead I took up basketball, I find it pretty boring now. Pretty much any type physical activity doesn't seem so appealing now.

Halftime came around and I immediately turned to Ben with one of the most scariest glares I could muster.

"Give my phone back."

"You still keep in touch with Kyle? Huh, I would've thought he'd end up in prison by now."

I chuckled at that since I thought the same thing, but stopped myself quickly and lay my palm now. "Ben! Give my phone."

"What's so secret?"

"What?"

"Well, it's like you're hiding something, that's why you want your phone back so bad."

"Apart from the dozen of extremely drool worthy nudes I send and receive on a daily basis, there's nothing private."

"Surely you wouldn't mind me looking through it?"

"Only if I get to look through yours," I smirked. I don't he'd let me, besides, there's probably nothing on there that's secretive and the only person he messages is Jace.

"Fine." He said, slipping his phone out from his pocket and handing me his phone. I stared at the thing as if it would self destruct if I even move an inch.

Pulling my self together I unlocked it with ease and grinned proudly.

"How did you know my password?" He asked with a brow raised.

"You really think 'EADGBE' is secretive?"

"I thought-"

"Well you thought wrong." I chuckled. I wasn't silly, I knew the names of each guitar string.

"At least unlock the phone for me?" He tried.

I just smirked and turned away. "Nope." After Kyle easily guessed my 1234 password, I had to change it.

First I went to his photos and eagerly browsed through them with a grin on my lips as if I had just found a pot of gold, which I practically did.

He had a lot of half naked selfies, my guess was to keep track of the progress with his body, the changes were small, but if you compared the oldest with the newest, there was a lot of fluctuation. He now had a six pack, albeit it wasn't that toned but I'm sure Ben's determined enough to keep exercising until his entire body looks photoshopped.

The second thing I did was go to his messages just to make sure that I was right, and that Jace was the only person he texted - well, aside from his mums and Harry.

However, I wasn't right. As soon as I opened the messages app, there was an endless list of girl's names.

"Who are these randoms?"

"I told you, I had a lot of friends outside school, some of them I dated too."

From Layla:
Are you free to hang out tomorrow night? Just us? (;

My eyes widened and I quickly exited out the app. I did not want to know what they got up to.

Actually...

No Flynn!

I had to internally fight with myself. It was as if there was an angel on one shoulder, and a demon on the other.

The angel made some valid points, telling me that Ben wouldn't look at my texts, nor would he reply to them.

The demon made tempting points, telling me that it would be fun and hilarious when Ben finds out.

I opened up the messages app again and went over to Layla's chat again, I quickly browsed through it so I could get a hang of Ben's typing style before composing a new message, I had to take a breather from what I had just read.

To: Layla
Today, 7:35pm
Ever had a threesome? I know this super fit guy called Flynn, he's super experienced and I'd just love

"Flynn!" Ben screamed in my ear, snatching the phone away from me before I could even finish the message and hit the send button.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry! The demon said so!" I cried, shielding my face with my hands.

He took a glance to the message then turned to me with a weird look.

"Everyone knows the third person in a threesome is supposed to be a stranger." Was all he said.
