Chapter 6
Noel's P.O.V.
Last night was surprisingly fun. Chris' parents were crazy yet fun, playing stupid card games and drinking the night away! Chris, Angel, and Nick finally left around eleven, even though I'm sure Chris would have stayed over but I never asked and neither did he.
I slept-in that morning, even calling in to work that morning, something I hadn't done in over a year. It was well worth it seeing as I just started my vacation a day early! Holly on the other hand heard through the work grapevine that I didn't show up and rushed over to my apartment. Thankfully it was a couple hours past noon or I wouldn't have even opened the door.
"What now Holly? Couldn't you have just called me?" I sighed and opened the front door fully for my sister to come inside. I trecked back to the kitchen to finish up the coffee I had just started, leaving Holly to shut the door behind her.
"Are you saying you want me to leave?" Holly asked shutting the door with her foot.
"Nope, I was going to call you anyway." I poured us two cups of coffee. After doctoring mine up I plopped myself on the couch.
"What are you smiling about? I thought you were sick..." Holly sat next to me, her own coffee in her hands.
"I'm not smiling." I said, trying to surpress the smile. Of course, it didn't work and I only started smiling bigger.
"Okay, what's going on? First you call-in to work and now your smiling like a freakin' idiot." Holly nudged my shoulder, sloshing my coffee.
"Hey! Watch it!" I said raising my coffee cup higher...like that would help anything..."I'm just happy that's all."
There was no way I was going to tell her about last night. She would lecture me to death about letting a man into my house that I just met, even if his parents were here as well. Chris, hmm...Okay...maybe I would tell her, I don't think I can keep it in.
"IsawChrislastnight." I blurted quickly.
"What?" Holly didn't understand.
"I saw Chris last night." I said slower this time.
"What! Where? Why didn't you tell me?"
"I just did, Holly... Here, he came by here." I said smiling again.
"Noel! How could you let him..."
"Shut it." I put a hand over her mouth stopping her from ranting. "We hung out, had a couple drinks, then played some cards with his parents."
Holly said something I couldn't understand, not surprising since my hand covered her mouth. Jerking my hand away I chuckled at my sister as she glared at me. "I said...you hung out with his parents?!"
"Yep." I said popping the 'p'. I smiled at my sister and her shocked face.
"Okay, weird." Holly said drawing out 'weird'.
"It's not that weird!" I defended.
Holly only laughed at me. "Okay, okay, what were they like? Were they nice?"
"They were crazy!" I laughed before continueing, "but cute...They couldn't keep their hands off of each other! Oh, and Angel, his mom is a spit fire!"
"Okay...I got to ask is he white or...?" Holly asked, unsure of how to ask the question.
"Mixed. Angel is a little bitty black woman and Nick is a freakin' huge ass white man! They look so odd together, but for some reason they really fit together..." I shrugged my shoulders at her.
"That's different..." she commented before she scruntched up her face in thought.
We were quiet for several minutes, just staring at the Chrismas tree and drinking our coffees. My thoughts strayed back to Chris...and his those sexy ass kisses. I mean, honestly, those were by far the best kisses I ever had in my life! His lips were so soft and full...such a good kiss.
"What are you smiling about?" Holly asked, breaking me from my thoughts.
"Nothing!" I defended, knowing she could see right through the lie.
"Nothing my ass! What are you thinking about?" She prodded.
"Chriskissedme." I rushed out, feeling my cheeks flush.
"Oh My God! Are you for real?!" Holly gripped my arm roughly.
I nodded, quickly putting my hand over my eyes to hide from her.
"So how was it?" she prompted.
"Freakin' amazing, Holly! I've never been kissed like that...seriously." I instantly looked to the door, where our first kiss took place. Just the feeling of him roughly pushing me against the door and his lips on mine...I never would have thought that I liked the whole domination thing but with Chris...wow.
"That good huh?" Holly asked looking at me from the corner of her eye.
"Oh hell yeah!" I said, giggling like a teen with their first crush.
Holly laughed along with me before asking, "So...What time is your date?"
"Um....I don't know." I answered honestly, a frown suddenly on my face. I wonder why we didn't talk about that last night?
"Well, just call him." Noel said.
I nodded and pulled out my phone. It wasn't until I had actually found Chris' number in my phonebook and pressed send that my nerves suddenly acted up. My heart started beating fast and my palms started sweating.
"Hey, sexy." Chris' smooth voice filtered through the phone. Immeadiately, I was calm just hearing his voice.
"Hey!" I said instantly smiling. "So...I just realized we never set up a time for our date tonight."
"That was the idea, it was a good excuse to hear your voice." he said sexily. I wanted to moan into the phone at the sound but I managed to hold it in as he continued. "So can I pick you up at six?"
"I can't wait." I voice sounded weird, sexy...Holly giggled next to me, causing me to smack her on her arm. "So are you going to tell me where we are going?"
"Nope. Just dress warm." Chris hinted.
"I think I can think of something to wear." I smacked Holly again as she tried to imitate my voice. I couldn't help it! Just something about this man brought out something in me.
"So...You miss me yet?"
"Now why would I miss you?" I teased.
"Aw, you hurt me." he joked. He sobbered quickly, his voice coming out serious and honest, "Noel, I miss you."
My heart pounded in my chest and I had to admit, "Chris, I miss you too."
"Aww!" Holly said loudly. I shushed her quickly, hoping Chris didn't hear her.
"Is that Holly?" Chris asked, a smile in his voice, all seriousness gone.
I groaned before answering him. "Yeah, that was her."
"Tell her I said 'hi' for me. Well, babe, I got to get off of here. Got some planning to do for later. I'll see you later, okay?"
"Okay, I can't wait." I said honestly.
"Me either. Bye, babe." Chris said before hanging up.
"Well?" Holly said gripping my arm.
"Chris says 'hi'." I said still smiling. "And he will be here at six."
"What are you going to wear? Where are you going? Did he really say he missed you?" Holly rushed out.
"Chill Holly! I don't know what I'm going to wear, I don't know where we are going, and yes he did say he missed me." I swear my face was going to fall off with all the smiling I was doing.
"Oooo! No-el!" she sang to me smiling. She quickly stood and pulled me off the couch, taking my cup from me before pulling me up the stairs to my bedroom.
"What are you doing!" I chuckled at my big sister.
"We have three hours to make you beautiful...and I'm going to help!" Holly yelled.

Chris' P.O.V.
I had spent the afternoon, along with Mom and Dad, planning my date with Noel for tonight. All afternoon I've been so nervous...and excited. I couldn't wait to get over here to Noel's place just so I could finally lay my eyes on my mate. When I pulled up to Noel's apartment I almost ran to her door just so I could kiss her senseless, and to tell you the truth I almost did.
It wasn't until she opened the door that I changed my mind on that kiss. She looked too perfect to mess up. My eyes roamed up the length of her body taking in her long legs encased in tight skinny jeans that showcased her hips and thighs to perfection. I let my eyes travel up to her tight low-cut red sweater and I swear I started drooling. When I finally reached her face I was shocked that her hair was no longer long and straight but had bouncy curls that rested on her shoulders.
"You look absolutely stunning." I whispered to her, unable to hide the big grin on my face.
"Thank you!" Noel gestured for me to come in so I followed her, enjoying the view of her ass swaying in front of me. I had to restrain myself from simply pushing her against the wall and having my way with her, saying forget the date.
"So are you ready for this?" I asked her, leaning against her couch crossing my arm aross my chest.
"Yep." she grabbed her coat throwing it on the couch next to me. I looked at her standing across from me and my eyes couldn't help but stray down to her full lips. She smirked a little as she saw me looking.
I was a little shocked when she stepped up, putting her hands on my chest. She leaned in, keeping her body away from mine and pressed her lips gently to mine. It took me several seconds before I reacted to her, but when I did I pulled her roughly against my body and devoured her sweet lips. I am pretty sure we would have stayed there all night kissing if it wasn't for a sudden noise behind me.
"Whoo-wee, Noel! That was freaking hot, sis!" Holly's voice yelled from the stairs.
Noel pulled away from me rolling her eyes at her sister, "Holly I told you to stay upstairs till we left."
"Ehh," Holly waved her sister's words off.
"Okay, time to go." Noel quickly pulled on her coat before grabbing my hand and pulling me quickly from her apartment. I barely had enough time to say hi and bye to her sister before my mate was shutting the door behind us. I laughed at Noel's urgency but let her pull me out to the small parking lot where my truck was waiting.
"A truck, huh?" She asked eyeing my big black Ram.
I nodded to her opening the passenger side door for her, giving her a hand up into the truck. She paused noticing the bouquet of flowers I had sitting in her seat. She looked down at me expectantly.
"I got you some flowers but I was in too big of a hurry to see you and forgot them here." I said.
"Aww, thank you Chris." Noel picked the roses up and put them to her nose. Once she was settled I shut the door and nearly ran to the driver's side to get in the truck with her.
"So...are you going to tell me where we are going now?" Noel asked me. I got a feeling she didn't like surprises too much but I still wasn't going to let her know what I had planned for her.
"Nope. I will tell you we are going to eat first." I started my truck and started driving to the resturaunt I had made reservations at earlier.
"Thank God, 'cause I'm starving!" She said holding her stomach. I chuckled at her, grabbing her hand in mine. Shocks travel from her skin to mine, as usual. It was hard being in a close space with her, all I could smell was her spicy scent. We continued to make comfortable small talk on the way there but all I could think about was how good she smelled....
I took her to a nice, yet relaxing resturant that I thought would be perfect for a first date...well second date really. It wasn't too fancy but not your normal mom 'n pop diner either. I really hoped she approved of my choice...
"Oh, I love this place." Noel said excitedly as we pulled up. I attempted to keep my eyes off of her bouncing chest as she clapped her hands enthusiastically...it didn't work. "Chris, watch where you're going, not my boobs!" she scolded.
I looked up into her beautiful eyes to apologize. She only strugged it off saying "You a man, what do you expect?" I chuckled at the truth to her words.
Dinner was amazing! We talked comfortably, held hands, shared an appitizer and a dessert...Noel was perfect and always a mystery. I never knew if what she was saying was playfull banter or just pure sexiness...
It wasn't until the last of our plates were taken away and the check paid that Noel brought up what we were doing next. I still put her off wanting her to be at least a little bit surprised. We left the resturant, holding hands but instead of heading to my truck I tugged her down the sidewalk. She eyed me curiously but I still wouldn't give in and tell her. After a short distance I stopped near one of those horse drawn carriages that travel up and down main street.
"Up for a ride?" I asked seductively into her ear, knowing my words had some double meaning.
"In that?!" She pointed to the large carriage, shock and awe clear on her face. "I've never been in one before..."
"Come on." I tugged her up into the tall seat with me, having paid the driver way earlier and setting up this time for us. When we sat down Noel sat up close next to me then wrapped the provided blanket around our legs to keep warm. I looked down at Noel to see her smiling up at me, her eyes shining.
"Thank you." She said before kissing my cheek, fire coursing through my body at her simple touch.
"My pleasure." I wrapped my arm around her slight shoulders, pulling her closer to me just as the driver started moving.
"Eeep!" Noel squeaked out as we started moving. I couldn't help but chuckle down at her, kissing the top of her head gently. Noel instantly snuggled into me, putting her body closer to mine and I couldn't help the pleased sigh that escaped my lips. This is the way it is supposed to be.
The carriage took it's time down the street, taking in all the Christmas lights that lined the road. I tried to look around and pay attention but my eyes continued to keep coming back to Noel and her beautiful features. All I wanted to do was to lean over and put her plump lips against my own...
"You're staring at me again." she said knowingly although her eyes were focused on the beautiful lights around us.
"I can't help it that you are so beautiful." I said truthfully, still staring at her. Noel didn't respond at first, but at least she turned her beautiful eyes in my direction.
"You are just too much, you know that right?" She whisperedand the next thing I knew her lips crashed to mine, right were they should be, all the beautiful Christmas lights forgotten. Now it was just us...
