Addison and Nathan laid in nothing but their underwear under the sheets for a while after their sexual venture. Silence was all that was needed at that point. Addison couldn't get past how amazing Nathan had felt. As Nathan dozed, she couldn't help but run her fingers around his facial features. She giggled lightly when he scrunched up his nose and then woke up.

“Hey...” He said in a sleepy voice. He propped himself up on his arm and let Addison fall back onto the pillows beneath their heads. Nathan pushed the sheets down to just below her bra. He traced circles around her collarbones with his fingertips. She laid there staring at his face. He looked like he had something on his mind.

“What are you thinking about?” She asked him. Nathan kissed her softly on the lips.

“About how amazing you really are.” He told her. “I was thinking… Can I take you out tonight?”

“You mean out, like on a date, out?” She asked him smiling. Nathan nodded. “Of course I will.” Her heart skipped a beat. Things were changing quickly between them. She didn’t know what to think about it all so she chose not to think for once. Why not embrace it all.

Nathan stood leaning back on his car, waiting for Addison to come out of the house. He couldn’t shake the nerves building up inside of him. How do I tell her that I love her? Why would she believe me after such a short time? He kept wondering. After an afternoon of running around and arranging things for their date, he hoped that he’d come to an answer on how to let her know but the idea never presented itself. He was hoping that the date would lead them to an opportunity where he’d be able to let Addison know of his feelings.

Addison came out of her house, dressed in a backless emerald green dress that hugged her curves in all the right places. She twirled for him and then made eye contact with Nathan and couldn’t help but laugh when his jaw dropped. He looked handsome with his white dress shirt and black pinstriped dress pants.

“Wow.” He said.

“I know.” She told him but regarded her comment toward him. They jumped in the car. Addison found herself feeling like she was right at home. She grabbed Nathan’s hand and put it on her thigh as she ran her fingers over his hand and smiled contently to herself.

Nathan couldn’t help but look at her. Addison looked incredibly beautiful, most importantly, she looked really happy.

“I couldn’t help but notice that your smile hasn’t left your face since we left your place.” He told her. He was glad to see her smiling.

“You have that affect on me.” She whispered loudly to him. Nathan laughed lightly. He realized his nerves had disappeared. He couldn’t help but smile back at Addison.

“I noticed something about you earlier.” She began to tell him. “You seemed nervous as I walked out of the house earlier.”

“Really?” His voice was a little higher than normal. Addison nodded and smiled warmly.

“You were fidgety. I thought it was cute.” She confessed. “Nathan?”

“Yeah?” He asked softly.

“Things have changed and are different for you now, aren’t they?” She asked him and somehow lost her smile but her eyes still twinkled. Nathan saw that he didn’t need to create the opportunity. She just did it for him. Nathan nodded and grabbed her folded hands across the table.

“Yes Addie, things have changed for me.” He began but kept holding her hands firmly. “But I wouldn’t change them.” Addison stared at him. Her smile returned. The waiter showed up with their food. They sat in silence as they enjoyed their meal.

The breeze carried warm air that evening. It must be an end of summer heat wave. Addison found herself thinking. She felt Nathan’s hands find her hips and hug her from behind softly, kissing her hair. She closed her eyes and savored the brief moment.

“I have a surprise for you.” He told her. She turned quickly to look at him. “Come with me.” He told her and extended his hand to her. He walked her back to his car where he opened the door to let her in and ran over to the driver’s side and got in himself. He drove for what felt like an eternity. Addison looked around trying to figure out where he was taking her and then gave up. It’s pointless to try and figure things out when you’re not even familiar with the area. All she knew, is that she wasn’t far from water. The ocean was coming in sight. Nathan drove up into a field where they reached a clearing, stopped and parked the car. He got out and ran over to her door opened it and handed her his hand to help her out of the car. She realized she was standing in sand. She grabbed her heels and slid them off of her feet. Nathan crouched down and picked them up for her. Addison let out a small laugh as they reached an opening in the tall grass and she saw a blanket and what looked like an electric lantern waiting there for them. She turned to face him and brushed her lips lightly on his cheek and pulled him to the blanket.

Whatever nervousness there was had disappeared when Addison’s face brightened for him and she gave him that soft kiss. If only she knew. He looked down and sadness fell onto his face. Addison must have noticed because she knelt in front of him and grabbed his chin to look into his eyes.
“Is everything okay?” She asked. Nathan looked at her and forced a smile. Why did he have to take her to this spot? This was his spot. He didn’t bring anyone here. This is where he came to think. This is where he came to spend time with her, Abigail. “Nate?” Addison asked again, realizing that he had said Abigail out loud. “Who’s Abigail?” She asked him.

“She would have loved you.” Nathan said lightly.

Addison was slightly confused. Who was Abigail and why would Nathan take her somewhere that reminded him of another woman?

“Nathan? Are you alright?” She asked him. Nathan looked toward the water and then back down again.

“Abigail was my baby sister. She died nearly a year ago from her third battle with leukemia. She would have been 18 next month.” He explained to her. Addison’s heart sunk into her stomach. All she could do is lend an ear and put her hand on his knee. “This was the place she loved to come and think. After she died, this is where I came to feel close to her.” His hands were playing in the sand. Addison looked at Nathan’s face as he turned to look at her and touched her hand that sat on his knee. “I figured, if there was a place that I could bring you to, that showed you how I saw you, it was this place.” He gestured for her to look down in the area he was playing in the sand. To her amazement, Addison realized that Nathan wasn’t playing with sand at all. He wrote words that made the warm night feel hot all at once. She looked down at her hands and smiled. Nathan grabbed her chin and tilted her head towards him so he could see her eyes.

“Addison, I love you.” He told her. Addison sat there, staring at him, with a tear running down her cheek.

Addison hadn’t said anything yet. He tilted her head up and made sure she understood what he wrote and that he wrote it for her.

“Addison, I love you.” He had told her. She still sat there, staring at him as a tear slowly ran down her right cheek. He brushed it away with his thumb. She looked absolutely beautiful. “Addie?” He began but never finished. Addison jumped at him, wrapped her arms around his neck and tackled him to the ground with a hard kiss. He smiled to himself. This night couldn’t be more perfect. He thought to himself. He wrapped his arms around Addison’s waist and held her as close as she could get and let himself get lost in her kisses. I’m home. He told himself.

An hour later, they were on their way home. Nathan and Addison had stayed at his secret beach a little longer after his revelation. It definitely was a great spot to come to and reflect. Addison was thrilled that Nathan had shared this deeply personal part of himself with her. When Addison got home, she didn't want her date to end at all. Nathan rushed to her door and opened it and helped her out of the car, like a complete gentleman. It was still early, barely nine thirty. Nathan held her hand and walked her to her door. She unlocked it and turned around to face him.

“So I'm going to see you tomorrow?” He asked her. Addison nodded. She couldn't believe that he was ending the date here but then again, she couldn't have asked for a better date or any better time with him. He stepped into her and gave her a slow sensual kiss goodnight and pulled away.

“Oh hell...” She whispered to herself and grabbed Nathans neck with her right hand and pulled him into her lips where she gave him a little something to think about tonight. She finished by nibbling on his lower lip and put her hand to her lips as she stepped back. “Goodnight, Nathan.” She told him.

“Sweet dreams.” He told her, slightly out of breath.

Nathan couldn't believe he walked away from her. He thought he'd end the night as a perfect gentleman but part of him simply wanted to bring Addison to bed and take it where it went and spend the night with her. As he got to his front door, he looked back at Addison's house.

“Fuck it!” He told himself out loud. He turned around and marched back to her door and knocked. Addison answered within a few seconds.

“Nate?” She asked, surprised to see him. He pushed her back from the door, slammed it behind him in one swift movement and crashed his body into hers through a passionate hug and crushed his lips on hers. Addison opened her mouth and allowed him a taste of her sweetness. He couldn't help but moan in her mouth. He pulled away momentarily to look at her. Her eyes were wild and on fire. Nathan picked Addison bridal pose and carried her up the stair to her room. He let her down on her feet gently beside her bed. Addison turned slowly and pushed her hair to the side. Nathan unzipped her dress and pushed it down to her feet. There she stood in her lacy green underwear. She looked perfect to him; perfect in every way. He turned Addison around so she would face him. She began to unbutton his shirt, trailing her hands down his naked chest as she moved to the next button. She pushed his shirt off of his shoulders and arms. She kissed his chest and let her fingers trail down his abs and as her lips followed. She pulled at his belt and pants and undid them, pushing them down to the floor. He wrapped his arms around her waist and brought her body against his. He laid her down on the bed and lowered himself over her slowly. She grabbed his face in both her hands and pulled his face up to hers so he was looking into her eyes.

“I love you too.” She told him. His heart stopped.

“Oh Nate!” Addison moaned loudly in his mouth. They had exploded in complete unison. Nathan drove her wild. She looked him in the eye as she swiped sweat from his brow and kissed his beautifully swollen lips. Nathan rolled onto his back and pulled Addison into his chest and cradled her head. She felt herself fall asleep and her last memory was of Nathan's lips meeting her forehead.
