Oh I also thought that I should start to deticate my chapters to followers who have been faithful throughout this whole book in comments and votes. To me comments are way more important than votes as comments actually help me out on how to write the story better and what you guys want to happen, etc. So for this I think I'd be more focus on comments than votes. What do you guys think of me deticating chapters to you guys?

Chapter Eleven Part Two:

The next time he woke it was a rough shaking. Letting out a groan as complain to the way the person was waking him; he pushed the hand gripping his shoulder away. It resisted slapping his hand away before continuing to shake him. Eventually opening his eyes, he was about to snap at whoever was touching him when he saw it was Katey. Something was wrong.

Katey’s usual bright smile was gone, replaced by a trembling lip as her eyes welled up with tears. He quickly sat up as he reached out, smoothing her unruly hair as he asked, “What’s wrong? What is going on?” Had she heard her parents fighting? Most likely if it had woken him from his deep slumber. It would have woken her. Before she could answer his question she pushed herself into his chest, hugging him with her little arms. He rubbed her head as well as her back as he tried to soothe whatever had the little girl so worked up. Before he could get an answer the door snapped open allowing in Jonathan. They guy looked pissed and he couldn’t help but hug the little girl tighter to him. It was no use to Jonathan’s actions as he ripped Katey from his arms, a scream erupting from her tiny body.

“Go back to your room.” His voice was cold something like he had never heard before. It sent a shiver down his spine as he helplessly watched Jonathan throw Katey out the room and locking the door behind her. He walked back toward Jaycee, the same coldness that had been in his voice earlier in his stare.

“I thought I told you not to go to Louis party!” He shouted at him. “Do you even remember what had happened?” It took a moment for Jaycee to shake his head afraid that if he did then something worse would happen to him. But he shook his head no to which Jonathan drop his own head into his hand and shook it then. “Of course you don’t! Who would when they’re so drugged anyway?”

“Drugged? What do you mean I was drugged?” He asked but then already knew as he remembered the funny tasting drink Louis had given him. He signed knowing that he should have then listened to Jonathan but was too concerned about Katey standing up as he asked. “What’s wrong with Katey? She seemed pretty upset. Did she hear your parents fighting?” Jonathan’s eyes wide at Jaycee’s words before settling into their usually narrow glare. He didn’t answer but instead pushed Jaycee roughly back down on to the bed before sitting down next to him. Jaycee noticed he was in his own bedroom, the familiarity of it begging to set in.
“How do you feel?” Jonathan asked as he grabbed Jaycee chin in a tight grip making him have to look at the other. He tried to pull away but Jonathan spoke with his eyes, narrowing as he silently told him not to move. He let out a sign as he snapped, “I am fine.” But as he said this he noticed Jonathan’s eyes darting between his own checking to see if he really was alright.

“What is going on?” He asked already knowing that Jonathan was in a bad mood but could he really be so pissed just because he had gone to Louis’s party and gotten accidently drugged? Something was going on and he knew it had to do with their parents because of the conversation he had heard, as well as the sudden appearance of Frank. As he asked his question Jonathan eventually rested his eyes on the other, letting his lips thin into a deep frown. Jonathan let go of Jaycee’s chin as he pushed himself up on to his feet to walk around the room.

“What all did you hear from my parent’s fight?”, was his first question. Jaycee thought back to what he had woken up to. It hadn’t been pleasant especially because of that it was all about him or at least the part he had heard. He wondered if Jonathan knew why his father had left them for the week Jaycee had been there. Pressing his lips together, it seemed like he had considering all the glares and hateful words especially when he was tackled on the first day of arriving at their home. It all made since and he suddenly felt horrible. Auntie was fighting with Frank because of him. “Your dad…um he doesn’t like me being here.” He stated hesitantly and uncomfortably stilling feeling like this was his entire fault. He should have never come here; he should have just gone to an orphanage where the whole family would want him.

Jonathan kept his steely glaze before speaking, “Dad didn’t like Mom always offering our home to strangers especially when they were ones with difficult pasts. But mom loves helping and offering her home is her way of helping. You were the final straw I think.” It didn’t seem like Jonathan was talking to Jaycee until the very end when his eyes fell on to him again. He looked sad even torn which only made Jaycee feel for guilty about this.
Suddenly standing Jonathan shook his head, “Katey’s upset because Mom is divorcing Dad.” At this Jaycee gasped his heart tearing apart at what he had done. “Relax. Dad deserves it and Mom deserves better.” He stated before walking to the door and opening it quietly. When Jonathan turned to look at Jaycee again his eyes were back to their cold stare. “If you ever do that again I’ll personally kill you myself.” With that he left, shutting the door behind him as he went leaving Jaycee in mixed emotions. He felt apologetic for having to be saved but also annoyed the other had come after him. He could do what he wanted and if that meant getting drugged so be it. Although he would never want that, but still he didn’t need a babysitter. The strongest emotion he felt was being guilty for Auntie’s break up with her husband, tearing the kids up as well probably. Things like this never went well and there would probably be custody battle. Maybe if he left, Frank would see to reason and come back and do so sucking up so that his family won’t be torn apart.

As quietly as he could, afraid any sound would alert someone to his idea, he padded across his room to grab the bags he had come here with. Quickly stuffing them with his clothings and a change of shoes, leaving out the things that had been bought for him he pushed the bags over his shoulders. Pulling on some sneakers he opened his door cautiously wanting to avoid everyone so that he could get out the house quietly. His heart hammered in his chest, making him even more nervous as he thought everyone would hear it and rush out to stop him. But why would they? He had ripped their family apart. He had no right to stay here. Quickly he moved through the hall and down the stairs. When he reached the bottom step it creaked on his weight revealing him.
“Honey?” It was generic term for all her kids, to have at least one of them reply and then she’d know who it would be. But Jaycee didn’t reply to Auntie as he stared wide eyed over his shoulders, through the doorways into the kitchen where she stood. As the silence stretched on she eventually looked up and spotted him there frozen on the steps gapping at her like a frightened deer. “Jaycee?” She questioned unsure of what was going and wanting to know. She stepped closer, moving towards him and that’s when he ran.

Leaping off the last step he bounded for the front door, yanking it open and sprinting out onto the drive way and down the street. After him he heard his name being called, his name turning into sadden wail. It made Jaycee’s heart tighten at the sound but he kept going.

After some time of running, fearing they would chase after him with the cars he stopped, panting heavily as he walked slowly on the sidewalk. He was headed for his social workers office in town. He knew he couldn’t just run away and didn’t want to as that would just cause him problems later on. But he wanted to keep his prefect school grades and attendance. If he ran away he would have to start over if not forge most of it since he was a senior. Besides he just needed a new family, one that everyone would want him and he wouldn’t be tearing their lives part. Or he just needed a place to live for the remaining school year until he went to college. He could get a job and dorm.

Before he could make it very far into town they caught up with him. It really wasn’t they as it was more of Jonathan brawling after him at full speed. This terrified him more than anything and he took up running zig-zag to avoid the people on the streets. But Jonathan, being the athlete he was, quickly caught up to him, tackling roughly to the pavement. Jaycee let out a shriek of pain as his body plummeted into the pavement everything hitting in some way even scrapping his skin. He didn’t have time to recover as he was quickly flipped over and yelled at, “What the fuck are you doing?” Jonathan’s eyes glared at him with fury his mouth drawn back in snarl as he waited for Jaycee’s reply. After a moment of getting everything not to spin he began to struggle against the other as he snapped out, “What does it look like? I am leaving.” At this Jonathan pushed him against the pavement again, specters beginning to surround them as he growled out, “Why are you leaving now when you had so much time in the beginning to leave? You can’t leave when my mom is going to need you. You’re the reason she is doi—“ At this Jaycee gave Jonathan a hard shove making him swing back as he snapped out angrily his voice breaking as his emotions peaked through, “Don’t you get it? That is why I am leaving! I can’t be the reason she is leaving your dad, doing all of this. I can’t be the reason your family is torn apart.” As he finished, he was already sniffling his eyes tearing up. He knew how it felt to have his family torn about by something and then always being blamed for it. To have that single parent left to always reminisce about it never letting it go and it never leaves the kids. He knew that. His mother dying of cancer never left his father or him. How could it when they had loved her? But his father never moved on and always blamed him for everything. Death had torn his family apart and he didn’t intend to be that for Jonathan’s family.

Jonathan seemed to realize the strangers staring at them and glared back as he got up. Grabbing Jaycee’s arm he tried to lead him away but Jaycee fought him once again. “No! I am not going with you.” He protested but that only angered Jonathan as he was suddenly picked up and thrown into his car. Before he could escape the doors were locked after Jonathan had gotten in and he was speeding away. “Would you just stop for a minute to listen what I have to say to you? If you listen and still want to go where ever the hell you were going I’d let you out even take you there.” The ultimate made Jaycee stop in his struggles as he considered. It sounded like a win-win for them both and most importantly for him as he got to be let go afterwards. “Fine.” He grumbled out folding his arms. Jonathan looked over at him as he answered and frowned. “Put your seatbelt on.” As Jaycee did so Jonathan slowed down and began to go in random circles around the town as he talked, “Look. You aren’t the reason why they’re finally getting divorced. It’s been on mom’s mind for years and we’ve all seen it. You just happened to be the final straw. Frank is a bad father in all ways.” At this he stopped and looked at Jaycee telling him silently that all ways deliberately stood for every possible way if not even the way his own father had been horrible. “Mom loves to do things for other people in need. If you don’t come back it’s going to break her. So at least come back for her if not for the fact that you have a great place to stay and won’t get that in an orphanage.” At this Jaycee’s eyes widened and glanced at Jonathan. “How’d you know I was thinking about that?” He asked and the other just shrugged. “Where else would you go?” Jaycee pressed his lips together at this not liking the way that sounded. He really had no home and the one that had started to become his home was not really his home.

“So this isn’t because of me?” He asked serious. He would never want anyone to fight especially over him. It was a terrible feeling. Jonathan let out a chuckle and shook his head as he concentrated on the road. “Don’t try to give yourself that much credit. You can never be the reason anyone breaks up.”

At this Jaycee couldn’t help but feel like he had just been complimented. Which was strange since it had come from Jonathan. He frowned, knowing weirder things have happened since he had moved into Auntie’s home. Slightly nodding to himself he spoke, “Fine, I’ll go back.” Jonathan said nothing as he turned the car and headed home but when Jaycee looked at him he saw the faintest of smiles playing on his lips. Now what was that all about?
