"Hey" Kathleen greeted with a small knock on my half opened door. "I didn't see you the entire day yesterday".
"I'm sorry, I spent the entire day... Busy" I said hoping she'd get the hint that I was with Gio but don't want to risk the others hearing.
"Yeah, I kinda figured" Kathleen said as she walked in.
"Emilia wasn't much of her troublesome self was she?" I chuckled.
"No, surprisingly she was a good sales rep. And quite persuasive with the customers" Kathleen said to me. " I don't even know how she does it, get one customer to buy three of the same shirt".
"She is Gio's little sister after all, if she didn't possessed some of his qualities then something would be wrong" I replied.
"So, I needed to ask you something" Kathleen said to me seriously as she sat on the edge of the bed.
"Uh oh" I said turning to her concerned. "Is this about me and Gio?"
"No uhm, its actually actually me and Dominic" Kathleen replied.
"What? Do you want tips on your sex life?" I joked.
"No our sex life is just great" Kathleen replied.
"So you do have a sex life" I pointed out chuckling. "What happened to taking things slow?"
"Well that's the thing" Kathleen said. "Dominic wants me to move in with him"
"Wow that's so...."
"Sudden, fast. I know" Kathleen said standing up.
"That's not what I was going to say" I said to her.
"Its not?" Kathleen asked.
"No, I was saying that's great" I told her.
"So you don't think that we're suddenly moving too fast? I mean moving in is a big step" Kathleen asked.
"The question is, do you want to move in with him?" I asked her.
"Yes but..." Kathleen started.
"Then what is the problem?" I asked cutting her off.
"I don't know. I guess I've gotten so used to living here with you guys and I hate changes and all" Kathleen replied but I had a feeling that wasn't the only issue.
"You're scared" I said to her. "The last time you moved in with a guy it didn't turned out that well, so now you're worried that the same thing may happened again. You're scared of making the same mistake".
"Yeah" Kathleen sigh and nodded.
"Its not going to be like that this time trust me. Dominic isn't like that" I told her. "He maybe all serious and ruthless but when it comes on to women especially his, he's not an ass".
"So what do you think I should do then?" Kathleen asked.
"I think you should follow your heart" I said to her. "If you want to go, then go. Sometimes we missed out on some of the best things in life because we were too scared to go after it".
"I haven't given Dominic an answer as yet" Kathleen replied. "I told him I'd give some thought to it first".
"Well you've thought about it so you should figure what answer to give him" I said to her. "Don't wait too long"
"I think he's coming over later, so then I'll give him my answer" Kathleen.
"I'm really gonna missed having you here" I said to her.
"Where's she going?" Emilia asked walking into the room.
"Somewhere you won't be" I said to her.
"Funny" Emilia replied sarcastically.
"I know right" I smile at her before chuckling at her clueless expression.

We were at the dining table having dinner, Dominic had also came over. We were just having different conversations and discussions while we ate when Dad called for my attention.
"So Lexi, when are we going to meet this new boyfriend of yours?" Dad asked taking a drink from his juice.
"My what?" I choked out in surprise.
"Don't play clueless Lexi, the new guy you've been screwing" Dominic stated causing me to gasp.
I think by now I should've been well aware of Dominic's blunt ways of just saying what he thinks but it still clearly shocked me every time he does it.
"Dominic" mom reprimanded him.
"Sorry mom but its the truth" Dominic said. "We don't hide vital information like who we're dating in this family right sis? Especially since you're so proudly wearing his marks".
"What?" I asked confused.
"I think he meant here" Emilia butted in pointing to the side of her own neck, clearly amused by all this.
My eyes bulged out as I instinctively place my hand on my neck. How had I not noticed that Gio had left hickeys on my neck. This always happened, especially when Dominic is around, or is it that he's the only one that's bold enough to let me know he saw them. And what's up with this? Did Gio purposely left them there knowing my family would see it?
"Didn't know?" Dominic asked feigning surprise. "Sorry then".
"Stop it" mom mouthed to Dominic who just shrugged.
"So when are you gonna introduced him to us?" Dad asked. "That's not something you should hide from us you know Lexi. You should invite him over to dinner some time, we'd really like to meet him".
"Yeah, we would. Especially since you guys are that serious now" Dominic joined.
"Oh no you don't" I replied trying to laugh it off. "You gys definitely won't"
"And why not?" Mom asked.
Not you too mom
"Why not?" Emilia joined in smirking. "I think your family should always be aware of who you're dating".
"Shut up" I mouthed to her causing her to chuckle.
"Dinner this Saturday at seven, no excuses invite your guy" Dad said seriously.
"Who says its a guy?" I asked.
"What?" Mom asked surprised I had said that.
"Wait are you saying that...." Dad started just the same time as Dominic said "Well this just got more interesting".
"So what you're saying then is that your alleged lover isn't a male?" Dominic asked amused.
"I didn't..." I started to say when Kathleen who had remain silent throughout most of the meal joined in.
"So I'm moving in with Dominic" she announced causing all the attention to immediately be on her.
I couldn't help but be more thankful to her. This whole boyfriend and lover's conversation about me was getting a bit too much to handle.
"Thank you" I mouthed to her causing her to give me a subtly nod.
"You've made up your mind now?" Dominic asked excitedly.
And just like that me and my mystery lover conversation was over and Kathleen moving in with Dominic was the new topic.
Though at one point Dad looked at me with a look that says I'm not done with you, I want to meet the guy. I just decided to avoid eye contact with him to avoid anymore unspoken messages.

Today was a day where I didn't know if it was luck, a set up or just pure coincidence or what, but I had decided to go over to my other restaurant Specialicious to check up on things there since I haven't been there in a while. When I said I didn't know if it was luck, a set up or coincidence I'm referring to seeing Snakes there in one corner of the restaurant with two other sketchy looking guys whom I didn't recognized and was most likely sure not Dominic's guys. By the way they seemed to be talking secretively I couldn't help but become curious. So I headed over there discretely as if I was going to attend to the customers at the nearby table. I made sure to keep my head down in disguised so that the Snake there wouldn't recognized me. Now I know why they called him Snakes, he is just as sneaky and deceitful as one.
After lurking around briefly I didn't catch much of what they were saying but I caught bits and pieces of conversation and I'm sure I heard Snake mentioned something about a drop Thursday night, and something about tired of working for the boss because he's a stuck up asshole who thinks he's all up there and its time for him to used the resources provide to him to start his own and get bigger. I also heard him said something about the others are willing to live up the bosses ass but he's tired of it. I tried to hear more but couldn't understand or pickup much more, but I didn't need to be any smarter to figure out what Snakes was saying. He was obviously not handling Gio's authority very well hence he's decided he's gonna start his own group by extending the little back street gang using the very resources Gio provide. So basically he was recruiting members for his little gang by promising them things while secretly scamming Gio's group and my guess is also trying to get his young new pets to try and leech off the Luciano's. Well he's got another thing coming if he thinks his plan is gonna work well, Gio is going to know all this as is Dominic. He's so stupid thinking to messed with the two most- dangerous men.
When I saw the guy looking as if they were soon ready to leave I decided to leave before they do and before I'm spotted. I went to leave quickly but guess I wasn't quick enough because as soon as I had made it through the front door and headed to my car, the door opened again behind me. I don't know why I looked back but I did and the same time my eyes and Snakes eyes met. I turned around and hurried over to my car even though I felt he was following me.
"Hey there" Snakes called once I was at my car door.
"Oh hi" I said turning to him with a huge fake smile.
"The boss's girl right?" Snakes said smiling as he step closer.
"And you're uhm...?" I pretended to forget his name.
"Trent" he said still smiling creepily.
"Oh yeah" I nodded before turning back to open the car door.
"So what are you doing here?" Snakes asked.
"I own the restaurant" I said to him.
"Really I had no idea, the place is great. I come here quite often" he replied.
"Great, good for you" I said trying to get rid of him.
"You're really trying to get rid of me aren't you?" Snakes chuckle.
So Mr. Snakes here isn't as dumb as he seem to be.
"It's not that" I said looking at the two guys that he was with as they drove off in a some what beat up car before looking back at him.
"What?" Snakes asked seriously looking at me after noticing the look.
"Nothing" I replied pulling open the door. "Look its nice seeing you again but I've got to go".
"Wait a second" Snakes said in a suddenly rough voice as he shut back my door with a slam.
I looked at him with a shock expression. This guy obviously have no idea who he's messing with. He just got fresh or start smelling his self why he think he had to right to do that.
"You're not gonna say a word about seeing me here today to Cavelli" he said to me causing me to lift a brow at him.
"Why do you have something to hide?" I taunt only to have my head and back connected to the side of my car as Snakes hand was at my throat.
"Listen to me you little bitch, you're not gonna mentioned any of today to your boyfriend there. And if you do and I ever find out you're going to be very sorry you hear me" he said trying to sound dangerously before withdrawing his hand.
My hand immediately went to rub my neck where he had just held as I looked at him in shock. The first thought that came to my mind was to cut this jerks stomach out right here and now to teach him some manners but I know if I act out now things wouldn't quite go as I planned.
"Remember what I said. One word of this to anyone and I'll slit your throat next time" He said drawing a finger across his neck before walking off.
I couldn't help but be a bit amused at all this. This punk have no idea what he just got himself into. I put my fingers to massage the part at the back of my head that the idiot had caused to slammed against the top of the car. As I opened the door and looked back at my fingers I noticed a little trace of blood.
"That little piece of shit!"
So Snakes is starting to show how much of a Snake he really is, what do you think is gonna happened now?
