Today, I got out to the graveyard a little later than usual. It must've been dad, who kept on asking me to make him soup and fix his pillows, etc. At 12:35, I made it to Robert Trip's grave....but Kimberly was already there, praying.

"Daddy...Jonah beat me up today. Well, it was more like he attacked me, trying to kiss me. He wouldn't leave, daddy. I'm scared for tomorrow....what if it gets worse? In fact, everything is getting worse without you here. Kelli started smoking...Mom is drinking more often. Grandpa won't leave the house...but still, no matter how much they miss you, they won't say it. They are moving on, but I'm not. You were always the one to help me, protect me. I can't deal with it anymore...in fact....the ghosts are coming back. I want to die...I want to die soon, so I can be with you."

"No!" I screamed, but it was too late to take it back. Kimberly looked up at me, tears falling out of her eyes.

"No," I whispered.
