Camila's POV
Thank God it was finally lunch time, not only did I get to eat but I got to see my girls.
"HEY CHANCHO"
"HEY CHEECHEE!" I yelled back at Dinah pulling her into a strong embrace. She was definitely one of my best friends and I don't think I could've lived without her.
"Where are the rest of the girls?"
"They should be coming any second now...OH! There they are!" She yelled pointing at Ally and Normani as they entered the cafeteria.
"Manibear! Allycat! Hi!" I yelled while wobbling over to them and giving each of them a tight hug. We got our lunch and sat down at our table at the back of the cafeteria. I liked to be as far away from the jocks since they sit in the front, for obvious reasons.
"PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA! I LOVE PIZZA!" I sang while sitting down next to Dinah and taking a bite out of my food. The girls looked at me like I was I had three heads, but then they started cracking up at my eagerness. I smiled and continued eating my lunch.
"So girls anything interesting happened to ya'll today? Ally asked.
"Well... Arin asked me out in English class today!" Normani squealed with a huge smile on her face.
"Finally the guy grew some balls! He has never stopped checking you out ever since the first day of school." Dinah exclaimed.
"Really? Wow I never noticed... I thought I was the shy one." Normani said putting her head down blushing.
"AWWW! Little Manibear is in looove!" I said while pinching her cheek, she smacked my hands away and started eating her lunch. I guess this is a good time to tell them about my dream. They might know what it meant.
"Well..." I said putting my pizza down. Should I really tell them? Yes! Spit it out already! You know you want to. Ugh shut up conscience. They all stopped what they were doing and waited for me to continue.
"This morning I had this dream that I was in this dark room with this mysterious girl. She then came out of nowhere and crashed my body onto the wall and pinned my hands above my head. She looked me straight in the eyes and said 'Hi'. Of course I said hi back, and then she asked me how I was. It was so weird because who slams you to a wall and then asks you how you feel? Mind you I've never met this girl in my life. Anyways, after that we looked into each others eyes for a long time. Her eyes, they were this beautiful shade of green that I have never seen before. I felt like I could stare at them forever. Well after our stare down she started kissing my neck and told me not to give up."
"Did you stop her?" Ally interrupted.
"I was getting there! So um... I didn't stop her because it felt so good and I didn't have the urge to stop her. The scary part was that after a while I felt fang type teeth graze my neck, they were sharp but they didn't hurt me. She told me not to give up again but she said my name this time. I started rambling and asking her questions like, how does she know my name and where did she come from when all of a sudden she kisses me-"
"OMG MILA YOU HAD YOUR FIRST KISS IN A DRE-" I slapped my hand on Dinah's mouth stopping her from yelling and further embarrassing me in front of the whole school. I swear this girl has no filter.
"Dinah stop yelling! And yes maybe, but let me finish."
"OK."
"After I rambled on she kissed me and it felt so right, and so real." A wave of goose pumps ran through my body while thinking about it. "She let go of my hands and I deepened the kiss. Long story short it turned into a full make out session. When we broke apart I stared into her eyes and saw that they were red". Everyone's eyes widen as they moved to the edge of their seats a little. "Yes I know crazy right! They were a dark shade of red and I was so confused because I've only seen red eyes on vampires. A vampire!? Then she told me not to give up again and that's when I woke up". I felt some weight being lift off my shoulders now that I've shared it.
"Wow." They said at the same time. Now THAT was creepy.
"What do you guys think it means? It has been bothering me all day."
"Did you eat a box of frozen pizza before going to sleep again Mila?" Dinah retorted.
"No. Come on guys I'm serious!" I pushed, which just caused them to start laughing their asses off.
"What fan fiction are you reading now?" Normani asked between chuckles.
"Guys please I'm serious! It wasn't just a normal dream it felt like I was physically there, but I wasn't. And the girl, her eyes... I don't know it just all connected somehow and it felt right." I said seriously. They immediately stopped laughing and stared at me. I was never serious so when I was they knew I wasn't playing around.
"Well who is she does she go to our school?" Normani asked.
"That's the thing I've never seen her before, but she did know my name. How does she know me?" I said while pulling my hair out of frustration.
"That is creepy weird." Ally mumbled.
"I know, my brain is going to explode and my heart is going to pop out of my chest." I might have exaggerated a little bit, but I am very overwhelmed.
"Calm down Camila you'll figure it out. Just calm down or else you're going to end up bald." Ally said removing the hands from my head.
"HEY! Maybe it was a dream about the future." Dinah joked. I took a couple deep breaths to calm my nerves down.
"Haha very funny." I said with a fake smile. I took the last bite of my pizza right when the bell rang. I had no classes with the girls only lunch. Sad I know.
"Well bye girls time for trig!" I said with a smile on my face and hugged each and everyone of them goodbye and made my way to trig, my favorite class of the day. Lets go math!
Thank the Mama Jesus that the day went by fast. As soon as the bell rang I bolted to my locker stuffed my books in my bag and ran to the door. I was suppose to go home with the girls but they had a dates with their boyfriends, leaving the single-pringle to walk home by herself. I was about to push the double doors open when Jennel and Ashley came out of nowhere and blocked me from leaving. Next thing I knew I'm surrounded by the whole crew. I tried pushing myself through but all it just resulted in them pushing me back. I looked around and each of them had an evil smirk on their ugly ass faces.
"Can I pass?" I said annoyed. Trying to keep my guard up and strict face on.
"Now why would you want to do that?" Jennel taunted while she played with her fingers.
"So I can stop the torture my eyes are facing having to look at you." Her face turned hard clearly striking a nerve. I gave her a toothless smile and tried pass them again. No success. Instead I was shoved back hard hitting a hard chest. Then the guy, Drew, thew me over his shoulder and carried me to the hidden hallway all the way at the end of the school. I tried breaking free by punching his back but it was so hard I bet he didn't feel a thing.
"Let me go you asshole!" I yelled but then was let down and immediately got slammed into the wall. Jennel came up to me first.
"You will regret ever dissing me again Cabello." She hissed connected her hand to my face. The bitch just slapped me! Before I could say anything I felt someone kick my feet making me fall to the floor at the sudden impact. They started laughing and then I felt a hard kick to my back, then another to my back, and another to my legs. They all jumped in kicking and insulting me.
"Ugly!"
"Worthless hoe!"
"Dumb bitch!"
After a few minutes of the kicking and yelling they got tired and stopped. Tears were flowing down my face none stop, silent sobs escaped my lips. My whole body felt like utter and complete shit, like they still were kicking me but they weren't. I curled up in fetal position with my shaking body and hid my face in my hands praying they would just go away.
"Ha! That's right cry and feel weak Karla! Should've made the right choice in the beginning." I heard Wesley say.
"Come on babe let's go being in her presence is making me want to throw up." That was the last thing I heard before I heard their footsteps walking away. I looked up with my blurry vision and saw that they were finally gone and tried to get up, falling back down at the pain that shot through my body. I just laid there on the floor for a couple more minutes until the pain became more bearable. I got up and limped to the exited of the school, by now the hallways were empty so no one had to see me in this state. I wiped away my tears and got into my car quickly pulling out of the parking lot and onto the streets. I needed to get away and I knew the perfect place to go . In a matter of minutes I parked my car and sprinted into woods, ignoring the pain that shot through my body with every step I took. Come on Camila almost there... I was so lost while running that I didn't notice the rock sticking out of the ground. I ended up hitting my ankle hard. I let out a scream and braced myself for impact. But it never came.
Instead of eating dirt I felt two strong arms wrap around my waist and lift me up. I quickly got out of their grip and got to my feet and turned around to see who it was. I couldn't believe my eyes at the person standing in front of me. It was the mysterious girl from my dream. My eyes went wide as I tried to control my breathing, damn I'm out of shape.
"Are you okay? You almost broke your face there." She asked concerned.
Oh my god she has the same husky voice and everything. Her long black hair fell pass her waist and her beautiful green eyes shimmered with worry. I felt like I could stare into those eyes forever.
"Umm ye-yeah I'm fine." I lied. Completely ignoring the pain that was shooting through my whole body and now my right ankle. She gave me a look as if she knew knew what I was thinking.
"No you're not you hurt your ankle when you tripped. Can you walk?"
I tried walking but ended up hoping on my left leg because the pain was to much. Being the clumsy person I am, I lost balance and fell back, but yet again I felt two strong arms catch me. She picked me up bridle style and started walking deeper into the woods. I wrapped my arms around her neck to make sure I didn't fall, but her toned arms told me that I wasn't going to. I didn't even know this girl and she was already carrying me? Well I dreamed about her but that doesn't count.
"Where are you taking me?" I mumbled a little shaky.
"Don't be scared Camila I won't hurt you, and we are going to a place you've been to a bunch of times." She said giving me a light smile. What... how does she know my name?!
"Uh, how do you know my name and how do you know my place?" I asked and shut my eyes tightly at the pain I felt on my ribs.
"You sure ask a lot of questions for a girl who's in pain."
"But I-" She cut me off.
"We're here." She announced and put me down and I quickly sat down on the grass. Wow she sure is strong if she carried me all of the way here. I looked around and noticed that we were in my secret hide out... not so secret anymore. I tried moving my right leg but ended up crying out in pain. Dumb rock I hope it gets eaten by spiders and ants. Within a split second she was by my side.
"Close your eyes and lay down." She ordered. I gave her a look.
"What why?" Is she some sort of woods rapist or something? She let out a sigh and rolled her eyes playfully kneeling down next to me.
"I'm not a woods rapist and I'm just going to cure your ankle." She said with a little chuckle. Wait how did she know I thought that?
"How? You don't even have a first-aid kit with you?"
"Just trust me." She whispered.I was in too much pain to argue so I did what she said. I laid back on the soft grass and covered my eyes taking a deep breath of fresh air. She took off my converse along with my sock and started rubbing my aching ankle. I bit my lip feeling a rush of pain run up my leg.
"This is only going to hurt for a couple of seconds okay?" She said in her calm husky voice. I simply shook my head desperate for the pain to go away.
I felt two sharp teeth bite into my ankle and I let out a loud scream. I felt her sucking my ankle and the pain fading, and then she pulled away. Did she just really bite me? WTF! I shot up and starred at my ankle with two small holes freshly made. It all happened so fast.
"OH MY GOD WHAT DID YOU DO? OW!" I yelled freaking out. It's not just everyday a stranger bites your ankle in the woods.
"Calm down it will go away soon." She said wiping her mouth of my blood. I watched my ankle and saw that the holes slowly beginning to close and the pain start to subside. My ankle didn't hurt and my body didn't ache as much as it did. I sighed while looking up and completely froze. The girl had fangs coming out of her mouth and had red eyes, just like in my dream. I had to admit though she was pretty hot... Oh my god brain shut up!
"No... no. This isn't happening." I mumbled while scooting away from her. When she noticed what I was doing her fangs shot back into her mouth and her red eyes dissolved back to her normal green ones.
"No Camila please don't be afraid I won't hurt you let me just explain." She said trying to help me up, but I pushed my hand away getting up myself.
"No you, you whatever you are don't touch me!" I spat at her.
"Listen you have to calm down and-" I cut her off.
"What!? You want me to calm down after you just finished sucking my ankle with your fangs?" I yelled putting extra emphasis on fangs.
"I will tell you why if-" I cut her off again I wasn't done ranting.
"And not to mention that your eyes changed color from green to red. RED! That can't be normal I don't know what you want but I want nothing of it-"
"CAN YOU JUST BE QUIET FOR A SECOND SO I CAN EXPLAIN!" She yelled clearly annoyed of the times I cut her off. I starred at her and decided not to say anything else, us yelling at each other will get us nowhere.
"Fine go. But first things first, what are you?" I asked starring straight into her eyes. I was scared of what her answer might be. She opened her mouth but nothing came out. I gave her a questioning look telling her to continue. She finally said,
"I'm a vampire."
That's when I saw everything around me start spinning and all I felt were two arms catching me. Ever thing that happened today overwhelming me to the max. Then everything went black.
