Iain didn't find what he was looking for. He would just have to take a blind leap.
Getting up from his desk he stuck his head out of the door.
"Aaliyah?",
"Yes?",
"How would you like being my date to the business benefit?",
"Oh um...I don't know...",
"Oh I understand. You're not single.
Sorry.",
Closing his office door, he sat at his desk once again and hoped his plan would work.
Aaliyah knocked on his door.
"Come in.",
"No Iain, I am single and I would love to be your date but....I'm your secretary. That's not very professional..",
Iain scoffed at the work formalities.
"And? I want you to go. You want to go. That's what's important. If it makes you feel bad you can take on the label of companion. But let's skip over the frivolity of professionalism for a moment. ",
Aaliyah couldn't believe her ears. She was ultimately taken aback by his boldness to start but the straight forward words hit her in all the right places.

Iain smiled mischievously, knowing she would cave and he would get what he wants. He always does.
