Hello loves! I am introducing a new character in this chapter, if any of you can guess what show he is from I have a surprise for you! :) Okay... On to the chapter!

(JJ's POV)

It had been a week since Jake and I were back in Texas, and my mom and dad were coming home today. I had fixed things with my dad completely and we had facetimed each other ever night since then so Jake and I could always be assured that he was doing okay. His recovery was going smoothly and they released him from the hospital yesterday.

Their flight left this morning and they were expected to be home within the next hour.

Halle and Tom were studying for their last finals that they had scheduled for the next day. With only one day left of school for those two, we started making plans for the summer.

Jake and I wanted to go to California this weekend and set up a nursery for Charlie in his Grandpa's ranch house before Ariel and Parker returned home from Vancouver.

Our list of plans was growing longer and longer. Before we knew it our entire summer was planned out.

A few hours later we had ordered a pizza and started watching a movie with Tom and Halle who needed a break from studying. I sat on the couch cuddled with Jake as we watched Halle's favorite romantic movie, Me Before You. It was made when I was three, but it's still the best romantic movie I've ever seen. Makes me cry my eyes out every time.

I started crying really hard at one point in the movie, and Jake would hand me a tissue when needed. When the movie finished Tom and Halle hurried to bed to catch some sleep before their final day of school.

Jake and I headed to the kitchen to clean things up. I stood at the sink washing dishes as he cleaned up the paper plates and pizza boxes. After about twenty minutes of cleaning as well as jamming out to our favorite country music, we heard my parents come in through the garage. They dumped all of their bags on the floor of the main hall and joined us in the kitchen. I ran up to my dad and hugged him, while Jake went to my mom to hug her and welcome them home. It was almost eleven o'clock at night and they seemed exhausted.

"How was your flight guys?" Jake asked.

"Well it was..." My dad was cut off by the door bell. "Well I guess you could call that saved by the bell."

Jake went to the door to answer it. I followed soon behind. At the door was a man in a leather jacket wearing dark pants. He had a gun holster and a white shirt on under his jacket. He had a badge attached to his belt under his jacket. His hair was dark and short but curly and he had a short scruffy beard.

"Hello lads, is this the Ackle's home?" he said looking up at us.

"It is. Who might you be?" Jake said questionably.

"My name's Officer Jones. Could I come in?"

I opened the door to welcome him in to our house. My dad walked into the room with his crutches, "What's this all about?"

"Hello Sir, you must be Jensen."

"I am, what brings you to my home?" He seemed to be annoyed with this officers presence.

"Yes, well I was sent here by the police of New York to get a young man named Jake. His father wants him home immediately. If things get complicated we could have a police escort here shortly."

Jake was furious and pushed him out the door slamming it shut. I turned to him and stood on the tips of my feet to calm him down with my hands on his cheeks. I had never seen him more angry. I took him to the other room, while my dad opened the door to talk to Officer Jones.

Jake and I sat on the couch together while I tried to help him calm down. "Jake, don't worry. Everything is going to be alright. I promise."

"No it's not. That bastard thinks that since he has so much money he can just hire a police escort and demand that I come home. Well I'm tired of his shit and I don't want that life. I want to stay here with my friends, and Tom and Halle," he looked down and a single tear fell down his face, "and with you."

I moved onto his lap and brought his chin up to look me in the eyes. "Jake, you're not going anywhere, I promise I will make sure..."

The officer walked into the room and interrupted, "Actually he is. I'm sorry son. It's my job." He looked back at my Dad who was whispering something to my mom. "Get your things together. We need to leave soon."

Jake started shaking his head and got up to go to his room. I followed him and started to help him pack his things. Everything was happening so fast. "Should I pack everything?" He asked.

"Absolutely not. And your dad thinks he's going to take you back then he gets to buy you brand new clothes and everything. Just take a few shirts and shorts. I want your room to stay the same for when you get back."

"JJ, think logically!" He yelled, "We don't even know when that is going to be?"

I started crying and fell to the floor by his bed. He kneeled down next to me and held me in his arms as he sat against his bed. I couldn't help but sob thinking about spending the next five months at the minimum without him.

My mom came in the room and started packing for him as we sat there in each others arms. She grabbed his bag and started to walk out the door when she turned to us, "We'll give you kids a few minutes." She wiped tears from her face as well. My parents had grown to love Jake like their own son. She walked over to him and kissed his forehead before walking downstairs.

Jake and I sat in the quiet. Tom came into his room and saw us on the floor crying. "What's going on?"

"Jake has to go home? His dad sent a police escort and everything." I cried out loud.

"Are you kidding me?" Tom stood against the wall in Jake's room and fell to the floor. His face fell to his hands and we could tell he started crying as well. None of us wanted time to continue. We wanted to stay with each other there forever.

Tom looked at us and let out a deep sigh, "I'm going downstairs to talk to this idiot who thinks he's taking you away." Before we could stop him he was already out the door.

Jake tightened his grip around me and kissed my temple while wiping a tear from my cheek with his finger. He leaned close to me and began to softly sing our with a whisper slowly... I couldn't help but think back to the last fall when we were together dancing in a field of grass to this song. He held me close to him and we danced to his favorite Brad Paisley song.

She's a yellow pair of running shoes
A holey pair of jeans
She looks great in cheap sunglasses
She looks great in anything
She's I want a piece of chocolate
Take me to a movie
She's I can't find a thing to wear
Now and then she's moody

She's a Saturn with a sunroof
With her brown hair a-blowing
She's a soft place to land
And a good feeling knowing
She's a warm conversation
That I wouldn't miss for nothing
She's a fighter when she's mad
And she's a lover when she's loving

And she's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
I talk about her, I go on and on and on
'Cause she's everything to me

She's a Saturday out on the town
And a church girl on Sunday
She's a cross around her neck
And a cuss word 'cause its Monday
She's a bubble bath and candles
Baby come and kiss me
She's a one glass of wine
And she's feeling kinda tipsy

She's the giver I wish I could be
And the stealer of the covers
She's a picture in my wallet
and my unborn children's mother
She's the hand that I'm holding
When I'm on my knees and praying
She's the answer to my prayer
And she's the song that I'm playing

My mom yelled from downstairs and said, "Are you kids ready yet? Officer Jones is waiting."

Jake started to get up, but I grab him and held his face in my hands. Memorizing every inch of it. "Please finish." Tears continued to fall down our cheeks as he continued. He was practically whispering but I absolutely loved it when he sang.

She's the voice I love to hear
Someday when I'm ninety
She's that wooden rocking chair
I want rocking right beside me
Everyday that passes
I only love her more
Yeah, she's the one
That I'd lay down my own life for

And she's everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
She's everything to me
Yeah she's everything to me

Everything I ever wanted
And everything I need
She's everything to me

He finished and his forehead fell on mine as I continued to sob. I had to breath deeply because my tears were completely controlling my emotions. I couldn't even comprehend the situation. He held my face in his hands now and wiped tears from my eyes. "I love you so much Jay. I'll be back as soon as I can."

I laughed and wiped my eyes. He pulled me to him and softly kissed me. Just a small kiss. One that was soft and slow. His lips collided with mine and I never wanted the moment to end. Soon he looked at me and held me in his arms as he stood. Lacing his fingers in mine, he lead me down the stairs with him where my parents and Officer Jones were waiting at the door. Tom was leaning against the wall not looking at anyone and trying to hide the fact that he wanted to fall to the floor crying.

Jake stood in the doorway and hugged my parents just before turned to me and pulling me into his arms. I buried my face in his chest wrapping my arms around him so tight. He leaned close to my ear and whispered, "I'll be home soon baby. I love you."

He kissed my forehead again before grabbing his bag and following Officer Jones out the door. I watched as he put his bag in the trunk of the car, and walked to the passenger seat. He shut the door and the car started to drive away. I felt like a piece of me was slowly being ripped from me.

The car couldn't have drove away slower. I stood in the doorway quietly letting the tears fall as it slowly disappeared. My parents were crying as well and walked up to their rooms. None of us knew what to make of the situation. One moment Jake was with us, and the next he's being taken away hundreds of miles from home.

Tom stood up and turned me to pull me into his arms. I sobbed into him and we stood there trying to make send of what was happening. He rubbed his hand across my back and tried to comfort me.

"It's going to be okay JJ, I promise."

"I told him the same thing before he took him."

(Jake's POV)

I leaned my head on the window as we started to drive off. I figured JJ would have texted me by now, but nothing. The officer tried to start a conversation only making things worse.

"Well, son. Please don't hate me. I'm just the messenger." He stated.

"I'm not mad." I said bluntly.

"Well kid my name's Liam. Liam Jones. I'm a bail bonds man, but your dad hired me specifically to come get you. You must be pretty important to him."

"Yeah, not likely. I was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, and he finally made it when I was clear of cancer. Not a call. Not a text. No letters, or emails. Nothing. He didn't even care."

"Oh well..." Liam started.

"Don't." I said sternly interrupting. "This already sucks enough. Don't try to understand or make me feel better. There's no making this situation better. Just take me to my dad. You'll get your money and I'll spend the next five months in hell."

"Five months?" Liam asked confused.

"I'll be 18 by the end of October, and then I'm getting a one way ticket back to San Antonio."

He nodded his head as if he were comprehending what was going on with the situation.

We rode the rest of the way in silence. It took us almost two days to drive to New York. He took me up to my Dad's pent house, where my step-mom met us at the door. She wrapped her arms around me and almost yelled in my ear, "Jake! We're so glad you're finally home!"

I pushed her off of me and threw my stuff on the floor. My dad was waiting on the couch messing on his laptop. "Welcome home son." He didn't even look up from his screen. My step-mom handed Liam a check and he was out the door soon after that.

"Unbelievable." I said. I walked down the hall to where my room used to be. There was now a sofa with a flat screen tv and a bar where my stuff used to be. I walked back to the main room, "Where is all my stuff?"

"I got rid of it. You shouldn't have left? It's been four years since you've lived here so I threw it away."

"And the hell continues." I said as I turned to walk away from him. "Where am I supposed to sleep?"

"Just use the guest room upstairs. We'll get things figured out eventually." He never looked up from this stupid laptop of his and I wanted to take that thing and throw it out the window. I passed by my old room and saw that there was a mini refrigerator.

When I opened the door I saw at least six beers and a few lemonades. I grabbed a lemonade and before shutting the door my eyes were fixed on the Bud Light. I hurried and switched the drinks before shutting the door. Without saying a word, I went upstairs to the guest room.

I walked in through the door, and threw my bag on the floor. Popping the top of the drink and taking a sip of it quickly, I gulped and then sat on the bed. It was the most bitter drink I had ever had, but I didn't care. I couldn't control my anger and before I knew it I had drank the entire thing. I hurried down to my room to grab two more to take back up to the guest room. I finished the second and then the third quickly.

All throughout high school I had never had a sip of alcohol, but my life was over. I knew my dad was going to do everything in his power to make me stay with him. I might as well kiss my life with JJ, Tom, Halle, and the rest of my family good bye. This new life, this hell, this was my new reality. I guess I need to get used to it.
