Mackenzies POV
I wake up in a hospital room and I furiously glance around
"Josh" I scream
Somebody walks in but it's not Josh I stare at the person and soon realize that's a doctor the doctor stares back at me
"You've suffered some injuries" he informs me
"Well obviously I am in a hospital" I shoot back
He narrows his eyes
"You broke your left wrist" he says then walks out
I lay back down and wait for somebody else to come in then I see my sister and mom come in
"Maddie" I mumble
They both run towards me and hug me
"What happened" I ask sitting back up
"You and Josh were in a car accident" my mom explains
"And that's the last time we are letting Josh drive you somewhere" maddie continues
"No" I mumble
"What do you mean no it's his fault you have a broken wrist and he's not even hurt" my mom
Yells
"It wasn't his fault" I argue
"Yes it was" Maddie shoots back
"No somebody swerved into us" I argue
My mom raises an eyebrow
"They smashed into me Josh tried to avoid It he couldn't" I explain
"Can I see him" I ask
"Him and Paige are in the waiting room I'll send him up" mom says
They both walk out and I lay back down after about 5 minutes the door opens back up and I see Josh
I smile and look at him but he's not smiling back like I expected
"Josh" I mumble
"Hey Kenz" he says pulling up a chair next to me and forcing a fake smile
"Josh what's wrong" I ask
"Nothing now that I know your okay" he tells me which I know is a load of lies
"Did whoever do it stop" I ask shifting on to my elbow to look at him
"No" he gulps
"Josh your hiding something"
"Mackenzie I know who it was" he says looking into my eyes
"Who" I whisper shout
"It was brynn"
"Brynn doesn't even have her license" I reply
"Her brother has a white car right" he asks
"Yeah" I reply
"She was driving it she has her permit Kenz"
"I'm going to kill her" I whisper shout
"Mackenzie stop!" Josh yells
I get up and peel the IVA off my arm and walk out
Josh sighs and hops up following me
"Mackenzie stop it you'll make yourself have to stay longer"
"I'm making my mom get me a discharge I'm fine" I yell back
I waddle into the waiting room and walk up to my mom
"Kenz honey what are you doing" Kelly, joshs mom asks
I turn to my mom "get me some actual clothes and get me a discharge I'm ready to go" I tell her
"Okay sweetie" my mom says probably slightly frightened
She pops out of her seat and makes her way over to the nurses station
"Mackenzie is leaving" as demands
The nurse looks at her puzzled "excuse me" she asks
"I'm checking Mackenzie Ziegler out" my mom
Demands
"No your not she's not cleared until tomorrow morning"
My mom looks over at me and walks over here she turns to Maddie
"Go home and get mackenzies clothes" she says
Then I feel a hand on my shoulder and I turn around to see Josh
"Melissa me and Mackenzie are going back into her room we need to talk"
Josh tells my mom
My mom nods and Josh gestures for me to go first
I walk in and he closes the door behind me
I walk over to the bed and sit down and he sits next to me
"Josh-" I begin but he stops me by kissing me he gently grabs my cheek and kisses me and I kiss back I sit up on my knees then shift onto his lap still kissing when we hear a knock on the door I move back to sit cross crossed on the bed
"Come in" I say and Maddie comes In
"Hey I brought your clothes" she says
"Thanks mads" she walks out I guess she didn't realize that joshs here
I walk over to the bathroom to change Maddie just brought a Pittsburgh Steelers sweatshirt and jeans
I changed and walked back out and Josh was still sitting there
I look over at him and he blushes he gets up and when he walks past me
He mumbles "sorry" in my ear
"Wait Josh" I say
He turns around "what Mackenzie" he only calls me that when he's upset
"Josh why are you sorry" I asked taking a few steps closer
"For making you fight with brynn and this happening"
"Josh that isn't your fault" I say as tears begin to form in my eyes as well as his
"Don't think that Josh" I say moving in closer
"Kenzie don't, this isn't good for you it's not good for you"
I take my thumb and wipe away a tear threatening to fall from his eyes
"Josh your plan is working im falling for you"
