Chapter 36: New York (part 1)
At the Hudson-Hummel place.
Rose: (comes downstairs dragging her bags with her) oh boyssssssss I'm ready to goooooo
Finn/Kurt: (comes from the kitchen)
Finn: is that your last bag
Rose: yep
Finn: good I'll go put it in the car while you go park your little but on the couch cause we need to talk about our deal while we are in New York
Rose: oh great not a lecture, I already know all the rules guys
Kurt: do you know that we are going to be a lot harder on you when we are in New York
Rose: um... Didn't know that part
Kurt: good cause we will be a lot harder on you
Finn: with your behavior lately, gonna take us a while before we can trust you again
Rose: but you guys just ungrounded me last week, and I haven't got into any trouble since then
Kurt: oh really
Rose: well um... Those other times didn't count
Finn: sit I'll be back (grabs her bag and heads out to Kurt's car)
Rose: (sighs and sits down next to Kurt) why are you and Finn treating me like I'm a baby?
Kurt: we don't
Rose: yeah you do. I'm 14 now almost 15 and you two been treating me like Im a toddler
Kurt: want to know why? Because you do this to yourself that's why. You bring yourself into these sticky situation alone and don't ask for help
Rose: I promise I'll call for help when I'm in trouble
Kurt: you promise me that you will be a perfect lady on this trip
Rose: yes sir, I'll be your perfect little princess
Kurt: I know you're not perfect but you can try to be at least
Rose nods and Finn said to them coming in.
Finn: alright everything set for New York
Rose: Yayyyyy!!!! New York here we come!!!!! (Runs out the door)
Finn: are you sure you gone all of the rules with her?
Kurt: that's for you to tell on her on the car ride trip let's go (puts sun glasses on and leaves)
Finn rolls his eyes and close the door with his keys and headed to the car and they all drove to the airport.
As a montage of striking images of New York City wash over her to the strains of George Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue, Rachel stands at the center of Times Square and takes it all in: "I made it!"
New Directions are thrilled to have made it to the top of the show choir heap and are eager to explore the city, though Finn reminds them that they still have two original songs to write.
Rose: (gets up from bed) oh come on Finn everybody right, we're in New York. The city that never sleeps
Finn: (cross arm gives her look)
Rose: I mean uh, I should stop talking right now before I get myself in more trouble (sits back that in her seat)
Finn: uh huh (takes bite out of his sandwich)
Kurt: she's right though Finn, quit being Mr. Bossy Pants and let's explore the magical city I love to call New Yorkkkkkk
Finn: (smiles) I think I got an idea that can help our writers block, come on
They all grab their coats and stuff and
headed out into the big city.
[Finn:]

Meanwhile, Will visits the theater of April's musical Crossrhodes: The April Rhodes Storyand sings Still Got Tonight on the stage. The director for April's show hears Mr Schuester's singing and tells him that he has the talent to make it big.
Meanwhile the boys are discussing Finn and Rachel, telling Finn to take her out while they are in New York City.
Back at the hotel rooms, the New Directions girls and Kurt are having a pillow fight while Rachel tries to write a song for Nationals.

Rose and Sara were in the hotel in New York as the boys were writing songs and discussing something.
Rose: (stops being on her phone) I'm bored...
Sara: me too...
Rose: Finn? Can Sara and I go hang out in the lobby?
Finn: (not looking up from his notepad) no
Rose: why not?
Finn: (gives her a look) what are the rules while you are in New York?
Rose: (sighs) obey you and Kurt orders and no running off alone, but...
Finn: then no
Rose: (stomps foot angry) ugh!!! Not fair, Kurt and Rachel can go out past crew few hours but Sara and I can't, how is that fair?
Mike: oh boy...
Artie: here comes the yelling and shouting
Finn: (stands up) now you listen here little girl, first of all don't stomp your foot at me like a toddler just because you aren't getting your way. And second when I tell you no I mean it, and that's final understand me
Rose: (roll eyes angry) whatever I'm going back to the girls room. You guys have fun, come on Sara.
Rose grabbed the room key and left with Sara and Finn sigh and Rose said locking the door with a smirk.
Sara: we're not really going back to the girls room are we?
Rose: (smirks) nope, come on
Ross drags Sara with her to the elevator.
Sara: this is bad idea Rose, we should head back. We could get in trouble.
Rose: would you relax everything will be fine you have nothing to worry about
The elevator opens revealing two twins boys who looks to be their age and one of them said.
Twin 1: going down ladies?
Rose: yep (pulls Sara in elevator with her)
Sara: (whispers to her as elevator close and starts to go down) I hate how you're doing this to me
Rose: would you relax nothing will go wrong
Just then something was going on with the elevator all of the sudden the 4 of them got hurt when the elevator shook.
Sara: (sees the emergency lights go on a little) is everyone okay? Is anybody hurt?
Rose: ow! My head
Sara: oh no, not good. (bend down to her) Rose? How many fingers am I holding up?
Rose: (looks dizzy) um... 4...
Sara: great you must have hit your head pretty hard because I was holding up two. And it's bleeding real bad.
Twin 2: here (rips a piece of his shirt)
Sara: no you don't have to do that
Twin 2: (smiles at her and hands it to her) it's okay it's because I wanted too
Sara: (smiles at him) thanks (holds it to her best friend head to stop the bleeding head) I'm Sara by the way
Twin 2: I'm Cody and this is my twin brother Alex
Alex: hi
Sara: are you okay Alex? You look like your holding your arm?
Alex: I'm fine really
Cody: no you're not I can feel it. You're hurt pretty bad, you must have a broken arm
Alex: I'm fine Cody you don't need to use your crazy twin thing sense
Cody: we both have it, because we can tell when one twin is not fine with the other
Alex: whatever, it's Rose we should be really be worried about with the injured head
Sara: how do you know her name?
Alex: because I just heard you call her that
Sara: oh right sorry, we should probably call for help. While I stop the swollen in her head
Rose: no!!! Finn and Kurt will kill me then ground me for a year for not listening to them. Please don't
Sara: then I'll call Puck
Rose: then he will just tell Finn
Sara: Mike?
Rose: now we can trust Mike
Sara rolled her eyes and called Mike.
Mike: hello?
Sara: Mikey...
Mike: what's wrong Sara?
Sara: first of all are you alone
Mike: no not really I'm with the girls and guys we are showing how far we are with the song. Where are you girls?
Sara: walk out for a minute I don't want them to hear
Mike: o-okay... Hey guys I'll be right back
The others just nods and Mike left the room and Tina look at Mike worried.
Mike: what's wrong Sara? What's going on?
Sara: we're kind of in trouble Rose and I
Mike: of course when are the two of you not, what happened
Sara: we are stuck in the elevator two twin boys and two of us got hurt
Mike: I thought you girls were in the bathroom?
Sara: really that's the cover up story Rose told Quinn
Mike: what?
Sara: nothing. Look we're not in the bathroom, just please call 911 and get help. Rose is bleeding real bad
Mike: alright I will but why can't you do it?
Sara: because my batteries dying and we don't have great service in elevator, but whatever you do don't tell-
Mike: hello? Hello? Sara (looks at his phone) damn it
Back in the elevator.
Sara: damn it stupid battery died
Alex: you know you could have used the last minute battery to I don't know call for help
Rose: she had to make sure our brothers weren't missing us
Sara: well I got no luck what about you guys
The all check their phones.
Alex: no bars
Cody: same
Rose: ditto
Sarah: well... This is just fantastic
Rose: who knows maybe Mikey will come and save us after all
Sara: yeah after our brothers kill us for not listening to them
Rose: oh yeah we're screwed... Mr. Schue will probably not let us perform either after breaking his rules
Sara: we didn't leave the hotel though
Rose: we were told not to leave the room. At this rate I'll probably won't be able to do anything with my injured head anyways
Sara: why do I always go do what you say?
Rose: because you're my best friend and my partner crime. When one of us screws up you always come to the rescue
Sara: very true, how you doing kiddo?
Rose: better, I'm less worried about what my brothers will say then how dizzy I am
Sara: well we need to keep you up since you have a percussion
Rose: (sounds drowsy) okay....
The 3 of them help Rose stay up until someone has arrive to come and rescue them.
Back with Mike.
Mike hang up and went back to the room and quickly grabs Quinn and pulls her out.
Mike: we need to talk
Quinn: what?
Mike: I think the girls are in trouble
Quinn: what did they do this time?
Mike: Sara told me they are trap in the elevator and Rose is injured
Quinn: well we need to tell the boys
Mike: (grabs her hand to stop her) that's the problem I can't tell them
Quinn: well they need to know what's going on with the girls
Mike: I don't want to break their promise
Quinn: come on Mike, what's more important breaking promises? Or lying to your best friends knowing their little sister is injured
Mike: fine you mine telling Finn, he scares there hell out of me when he's mad
Quinn: um, Finn and I aren't on the best speaking terms right now, we broke up
Mike: oh I'm sorry Quinn
Quinn: come on I'm sure Finn can't be that bas, I know he will be a bit understanding
Mike: can we tell them both together please just in case?
Quinn: (sighs) fineeee.... letting you know that it will be awkward between us
Quinn and Mike went back in but to see know Finn around.
Quinn: where's Finn?
Kurt: out with Rachel, why what's wrong?
Quinn: of course he's out with herrrr
Kurt: *empathize his words* what's... wrong...
Mike: there's no either way to tell you this but um... the girls are trapped in the elevator and Rose is injured real bad
Kurt: wait what?! How were you able to contact her
Mike: from Sara cell but I can't get through to her again no service
Kurt: I'm calling manager downstairs to call 911 to get help, take me to the elevator, Puck go make the call downstairs
Puck: okay
Puck leaves with his women and Kurt follows Mike and Quinn out the door.
...
Before.
Rachel eventually receives a text message from Finn and meets him on Bow Bridge in Central Park. They go to Sardi's and see Patti LuPone. Rachel musters her courage to talk to her and in doing so, receives praise from Patti as she was also in a show choir when she was younger. She also makes a remark to Rachel, calling Finn "cute."
Back with Kurt and Mike.
Kurt rush to the elevator with Mile figure they would be stuck their.
Kurt: (yells) girls?! Can you hear me?!
...
With the girls in the elevator.
Sara was helping Rose by keeping her awake so she doesn't sleep.
Sara: come on Rose stay with me, I know you lost a lot of blood but you'll be just fun, just stay awake for me until we are free and paramedics come rescue you
Rose: thanks Sara, and I should have listen to you
Sara: it's okay, I'm sure Mike getting help right about....
???: Girls?!
Sara: now, wait what now?
Rose: wait I know that voice
???: girls can you hear me?!
Sara: Alex take my place
Alex and Sara switch place and Sara went over to the door of the elevator.
Sara: (yells) yes Kurt it's us we are stuck in the elevator get us help please!!!!!
Kurt: don't worry your brother went to the front desk to call ambulance, they should be on their way!
Sara: wait Noah knows too!!
Kurt: yes and I'm very disappointed in you girls that you tried to hide this from us!
Sara: it's my fault Kurt! I take full responsibility for it!
Kurt: I know you that's what you always do, but I also know that it wasn't your idea to sneak away now was it!
Sara: I guess!
Kurt: how's Rose's doing? Do you have other people in the elevator with you?
Sara: she losing a lot blood Kurt it's bad. And we have two twin boys with us helping her. One of them got a broken arm though from the fall!
Kurt: alright the paramedics should be here any minute guys! Keep Rose up and don't let her fall asleep!
Sara: got it Kurt! And thanks for being understand!
Kurt: no problem, you're lucky Mike the one that told me and not Finn, he would be hella pissed in situation like this, speaking of Finn I should call him.
After the date as Finn and Rachel walk back to the hotel. Half of the New Directions boys follow them singing Bella Notte.
Near the end, Finn tries to kiss Rachel however Rachel tells him that she can't and runs off. Finn then gets a call from Kurt telling him to meet him back at the hotel and to hurry.
Finn was lost and confused and told the others to come back with him at the hotel.
When he made it their was paramedics and fire fighter their waiting outside. Finn see the hotel manager and goes up to him.
Finn: what's going on?
Hotel Manger: elevator is broken leaving 4 trap teens in their, two of them are injured
Finn: (thinks for a minute, frowns) what teens?
Hotel Manager: um.... No one
Finn: (grabs his by the shirt) what teens?
Hotel Manager: (scared) um, two twin boys and two girls
Finn: would one of those girls have to go by name of Rose and Sara.
Hotel Manager: maybe.... I mean yes...
Finn: (sighs) is my brother around
Hotel Manager: yes he's inside with the fire man trying to rescue them
Finn nods and release him and runs into the hotel. He finds Kurt near their hotel room with fire department breaking through the elevator.
Finn: Kurt I got your message, is she okay?
Kurt: she's fine, but she maybe injured
Finn: wait, what?! How injured?
Kurt: um, losing a lot of blood injured
Finn: what?! How can you contact her?
Kurt: you can't no service in the elevator Finn
Finn: then what are we supposed to do
Kurt: wait and hopefully for the best she comes out of their alive still breathing
Finn: not funny Kurt
Kurt: wasn't trying to be
Finn: fine but if those fireman don't break into the elevator soon I'm gonna scream
Kurt: I know you will
Kurt gives Finn a hug and he sighs calmly and hugs him back.
