"Are you sure you're going to be okay?" Scott asked me as I put on my shoes. "Scott, i'll be fine, I'm not four."

He sighed, scratching the back of his neck as I chuckled. "I know, it's just with everything going on lately, I'm worried that something might happen to you." I put a hand on his shoulder. "Scott, I can take care of myself."

He nodded. "Fine, but please be careful." I nodded, grabbing the door knob and opening the door. "I always try my best."

Today I had decided to take a day out of school. After all the running around yesterday and all the things that happened, my brain was all over the place. I needed to clear my mind. I closed the door behind me as I walked to my car. Starting up the engine, I pulled out of the driveway, backing out onto the road.

I drove away from my house, watching it grow distant through the window. My mind couldn't help but wander as the thoughts from the previous night circled throughout my head.

"You found a list? What kind?" Stiles questioned Lydia as we all circled around her. A series of names were printed in bold capital letters on a white sheet of paper.

"I think it's some kind of deadpool. Look." She pointed to a name that was crossed off. Many others matching it. "A deadpool for what?" I asked as Scott's eyes widened.

"For the supernatural." He pointed to another crossed off name. Looking closer, I saw the name. Sean Walcott. The wendigo Scott and I had witnessed being killed by the man without a mouth when he bit Liam.
"Lydia, keep searching for more lists, this can't be it." She nodded, going back to her computer.

"Do you think we'll be on them?" I asked Scott as he sighed. "If it based on Beacon Hills, then yes."

It did scare me a little bit. Knowing someone had a bounty of some sort set on the supernatural. It could be any of us. Scott, Malia, Lydia, Derek, Peter, Me, heck maybe even Liam. I continued to drive down the road, pushing my thoughts behind me until I finally reached my destination. Beacon Hills Preserve.

When Scott and I were younger, we used to ride our bikes down here every day when we didn't have school, even when our mom told us not too. Reminds me of the gold old days when everything was normal. When life was simple.

I shut off my car, shoving the keys in my pocket as I got out the car. The scent of fresh pine filled my nose as I walked deeper into the woods.

Venturing further towards the lookout point, I couldn't help but remember all the things we've done in these woods.

Peter biting Scott when we all left the house. Kidnapping Jackson so he didn't go all snake on everyone. Saving Malia from being a coyote her whole life. Even when Stiles and I tried to have a date. So many things have happened here. Both good and kind of illegal.

My thoughts were interrupted by the sight of a head. I quickly slipped behind a tree, peering over the side to get a better look. There was a girl, about my age with dark brown hair sitting on the rock that overlooked the city. I smiled, she reminded me of myself when I used to sit out there, contemplating my thoughts.

"Pretty peaceful isn't it?" I asked, walking over to the girl. She whipped around, staring at me. She didn't look familiar, and Beacon Hills was a small town.

She watched me as I sat down on the rock beside. She turned back to the view, staring into the distance. "Yeah, it is."

"I'm Aubrey." I smiled as she glanced out of the corner of her eye. I flashed her a smile which she quickly returned. "Kayla."

"This may seem weird considering that we just met, but do you go to the high school? I don't think i've seen you before?" She nodded, chuckling. "Yeah, i'm a freshman. I just moved to Beacon Hills from up in Maine."

I nodded, crossing my arms over my chest. "Any reason why you moved?" She shrugged. "My mom wanted a fresh start from all the strange things that were happening in my town." She sighed, fully turning towards me. "Say, can I tell you something?"

I shook my head. "Of course." She leaned forward, resting her elbows on her knees. "Promise you won't think i'm insane." I laughed. "Trust me, i've seen so many bizarre things, I don't even know if insane is a bad things anymore." She lightly chuckled before returning to her serious tone.

"Okay, the real reason we moved here is because-." She paused, glancing around the area before returning her gaze. "It's because my dad is a parapsychologist." I furrowed my eyebrows, slightly tilting my head. "What's that?"

"He studies the supernatural." My breathe hitched as she continued. "Apparently Beacon Hills is crawling with them." She glanced at me sighing. "You think we're crazy don't you."

I shook my head. "No, what do you believe?" She looked down at her hands as she spoke. "Well, considering the fact that i've seen a werewolf with my own eyes, I guess I do believe in them."

I slightly coughed, shirting on the rock. What if she was a hunter like Gerard? "So, what does you dad do to research them?"

"Nothing horrible. My dad basically started Parapsychology because he found out that one of our good friends was a werewolf and he let my dad study him. From that dad forth, my dad vowed to find other supernatural, But not hurt them. He would never take something or someone so unique and unwilling to study." I nodded. Maybe this wasn't so bad after all.

Her heartbeat remained steady throughout the whole time she was explaining. She was either telling the truth, or a very good liar. And I couldn't tell which one it was.

"Kayla I have something to tell you?" He it goes. "I-" An arrow flew past my face, landing in the tree right to the side of me. I stood up, moving back as my head whipped to where the arrow had come from. A group of men stood in the distance, trying to conceal themselves behind trees. They were dressed in all black, masks covering half their faces. They all drew back an arrow, aiming straight for us. My eyes widened as I grabbed a hold of Kayla's shoulders.

"Run!" I screamed, pushing her ahead of me as arrows flew through the air, coming at us. "What's going on?!" Kayla yelled as we continued to run. I shook my head, glancing back. They were still following us. "I don't know, keep running!"

Kayla started to pant, slowing down until she came to a complete stop, holding onto her knees. I stopped beside her, trying to move her along. "Kayla, we can't stop, you have to keep going." She continued to pant, trying to inhale oxygen. "I ca-." She winched, falling onto the ground. An arrow had went straight into her stomach.

":Kayla!" I screamed, leaning down beside her as she gasped for breathe. "Aubrey." She muttered quietly, looking up at me. "Y-your arm." I looked towards my arm, noticing an arrow was lodged through it, sticking out the other side. I shook my head, grabbing the arrow and ripping it in half. I threw it to the ground, picking out the other part. My wound quickly reacted, already starting to heal.

"Are you a-" I nodded, cutting her off. "Yes, i am supernatural. Kayla, I was about to tell you everything but the arrow and-."

"It's okay." She flashed me a small smile. "I figured you were. You asked a lot of peculiar questions and didn't think I was insane." She chuckled, coughing and glancing up towards me. "You have to tell my dad." She paused as a tear rolled down her face. "Tell him what you are, he'd love to research you."

I sighed as a tear left my eye, trickling down my face. This couldn't happen again. Another person couldn't die because of me. "Kayla, y-you can't leave me. I've already lost so many people. I can't lose you too." She shook her head, slightly smiling. "There's nothing you can do Aubrey. I was dead the minute the arrow left the bow."

I sniffled, wiping the tears off my face. Kayla was right, I couldn't do anything. Another innocent person was going to die because of me and there was no one I could tell. Not even Scott, Stiles, or even L-. My eyes widened, there was one thing I could do. One last sliver of hope.

"Kayla, do you trust me?" I asked as she nodded. I grabbed onto her arm, rolling up her sleeve. I felt my teeth come out as my eyes changed from their dark brown to the misty gray i've come to know.

I took a deep breathe before bringing her arm towards my face, taking one last glance at her before sinking my teeth into her wrist.

She gasped in pain as I let go of her arm. Her hand instantly attached to her arm, covering the newly made bite mark. She took a deep breathe before sitting up against the tree. She grabbed ahold of the arrow that was still lodged in her stomach, pulling it out.

As the last of the arrow was out, she lifted up her shirt, watching as the wound slowly healed itself. "Aubrey, you saved my life." She smiled, looking up at me. I shook my head. "No, I only made it a living hell." There was no way I could have a beta, I still had no clue what I was myself, how could I teach another one what they are?

She stood up, walking over to me and pulling me into a hug. "Ever since my dad and I found out about the supernatural actually existing, i've always wanted to be one. I wanna know what its like to be different."

"Kayla, it's a lot more complicated than that. You have to learn all the basics of what you are and trust me, we are not basic. Every full moon, you're going to want to hurt people, kill people, no matter who they are. You're going to see things clearer, smell more things, be able to sprint without getting tired, and you can't let anyone know. Are you sure you're up for the challenge?" She takes a deep breathe before nodding. "Okay, first before I introduce you to the others, I have to explain what I am, and what you are."

"I'm what they call an Ariz. It's basically a mixture of a werewolf and a kitsune. We have the normal werewolf powers which i assume you already know?" She nodded. "Super speed and sprint, increased hearing, reflexes, sight, night vision, strength."

I nodded. "Okay and we have different types like the kitsune. There are 9 different types. I'm a shadowarizmic, meaning I work with the shadows. That's why my eyes are gray." She nodded. "So what am I."

I shrugged my shoulders. "That's the catch. We have to go through a series of tests to find out which type of Ariz you are. So right now, your eyes are purple because you don't know yet."

"Okay, I get it. So there are more supernatural?" I nodded. "I'll introduce you to them tomorrow but I guess I'll give you a fare warning on what they are."

"My brother Scott is an Alpha Were-wolf. He recently got a beta named Liam, whom I try and protect with my life, God knows why. Lydia is a Banshee, she predicts when people are going to die and knows when they do. Kira is a kitsune, we're still trying to figure out what she can do, but for now she's a Katana wielding badass." She chuckled as I smiled.

"Malia is a werecoyote, basically the same thing as a werewolf. We had more to our pack, but they either left or died, but we also have a human. My boyfriend Stiles was possessed by an evil spirit along with me but he's better now and so am I."

She nodded. "So when do I get to meet them."

"Tomorrow at school." I put an arm around her shoulder. "Come on let's go home, it's been a long day." She laughed. "I'll say."

This was a different chapter but I hope you enjoyed. Kinda of a shorter one :) Let me know what you think about Aubrey's new Beta... Do you like the idea or?
