I wish that I could measure my
life in breaths. That we could weigh it in
smiles, instead of items crossed off a list.
I never want to waste a singular, fascinating
moment, to look back and wish that I had launched
harder and accomplished more. I want to look back and be
unable to fit the view in one shot, one frame.
I don't know how to be anything but
alive and thorough. Or, at least, that's what I
wish I knew. I've got being alive down pat. I'm working on being thorough
presently. And thoroughly alive.
I want to be able to measure out my
adventures in pounds and bake them into a
masterpiece of a novel. I want to
inspect my life through a microscope and
see every glorious and disastrous moment and
love them all like a proud artist should.
How many galaxies are we losing per second?
No, that's not the question. The question
is how much more do we love the universe per
astounding fact we realize?
You do not have to be occupied if you don't
want to. It's not your job.
