At the conference room at Sallet, Amigon and Amahterasu are again communing with one another regarding important matters. Subjects like taxes, populations, connections with other Dathus, and other typical cases his Commune faces.
"Everything is in place, yes?"
"Correct, my Dathu."
"Good. Amigon, there is one more thing I would like to talk about with you."
"And what is that, sire?"
"About Operation Valkyrie..."
Amigon tensed. He knows Amahterasu will soemday change his mind about Valkyrie. He was too soft, too weak. He wanted to dethrone and replace him for he knew that with his rule, the Western Border would be an empire. But he must wait, and calculate his every move. Everything must be in order for his plan to go full swing. And this will start with Operation Valkyrie.
"What about it?"
"I do not think I can continue on with this plan of yours..."
"W-why sire? Is it not that you want power?"
"..........Yes, but not this way."
A coward. That was what Amigon was calling him in his mind. To obtain power, he must kill. Kill or be killed, that is what he believes in.
"But sire, you've already initiated Valkyrie on Beret."
"Yes I know, and I curse myself...."
"But sire..."
"I said enough Amigon, I have made my mind!"
Amigon backed. He knew what the Dathu could do when enraged. BUt he did not stop his reasoning.
"Sire hear me out. You''ve already started this. Sooner or later people will know of the treachery you've caused. Why not continue this now to fulfill your dream rather than stopping?"
".......If the people have found out, then I face any sentence they will put on me. Be it death. I should have known better than to start a genocide on Beret."
The two heard a huge thump. Theie eyes both went to the direction of the noise. A soft squeal was heard. The two saw a girl with long, blond hair along with an Elven. The girl just looked as shocked as the both of them.
The girl quickly stood up and bowed. She motioned the Elven to do the same, which it reluctantly did. And the two scampered away.
"Who was that?"
"That was Yourhia, one of my daughter's maids."
"Did she, hear everything? How long was she just there?"
"I doubt it, Amigon. Even if she heard it she would just pay it no heed. Trust me, I know her Amigon. She doesn't meddle with these matters."
Amigon had a little distrust about what Amahterasu said. But, he knows he does not lie.
"Sire, I've business to do elsewhere. But I hope you would have a change of heart."
Amahterasy motioned his hand. Amigon was free to go. He left the Dathu deep in thought. Amigon talked to one of his warriors.
"Keep an eye out for a woman named Yourhia. Blond hair. Carries an Elven beast with her. She could be a threat to my plans."
"SIGNUM!!!"
"Mellyn, this is Amigon. The cur has chickened out. Keep your troops in play. Our next target is..........Farole."
With that, the insiduous Warloch went his way, carrying with him an intention so cruel.
