Chapter Twenty- Four
"Are we there yet?" I wondered for what felt like the hundredth time, as I continued to stumble behind Seth through the trees, my hand tightly clutched in his.
Hearing Seth laugh lightly, I was slightly surprised when Seth suddenly stopped walking which had me walking straight into his back.
Turning around slowly, a wide grin spread across his face, I couldn't help but smile back at Seth, and feel slightly embarrassed over the fact that I just walked straight into him. "Almost," He whispered softly, avoiding the fact that I indeed just walked into him and squeezing my hand in his instead.
Groaning at hearing him say 'almost' for what also felt like the hundredth time, I closed my eyes tightly together for a moment, and quickly reopened them a moment later. Meeting Seth's blue orbs, I found myself lost in the depths of his beautiful eyes, and all impatient thoughts forgotten. "I think I need to stop looking into your eyes from now on..." I explained to him suddenly, meaning every word.
Raising an eyebrow in confusion, Seth stared at me with a blank expression, "And this is because..." He wondered, most likely trying to fit together a reason in his mind.
Biting onto my bottom lip, I let out a deep breath, "I get lost every time I do. It's like you're controlling my thoughts-" I paused suddenly, "Wait that isn't some freaky wolf thing right, you can't make me forget something, right?!" I suddenly panicked, my brain going into hyper drive as I thought about the fact that he wasn't a normal human, and maybe there was a reason why I always forgot my train of thought when I was with him.
Hearing Seth's laughter fill the air around me, I instantly relaxed, "No, for the most part I'm normal..." Seth spoke through his laughter as he turned on his feet and began leading us in the direction we were originally traveling in before we found ourselves distracted in conversation.
"What do you mean 'for the most part'?" I pressed, curious to find out more about him.
Seth laughed once more, "Well for one being an over sized brown wolf..." He spoke sending me a cheeky grin.
Returning a smile in his direction, I rolled my eyes, "Tell me something I don't know," I tried, my gaze set directly on him.
"How about I tell you some other time?" Seth wondered, nodding his head in front of us.
Turning my gaze away from him, I stood speechless at the beautiful landscape stretched out before me.
Just directly in front of me lay a cliff of some sort, and from where I stood, I couldn't see how deep it sunk, but I could perfectly see in the distance the snow patched covered mountains and trees as the rose in random places. The whole scene in front of me screamed beautiful, and when I finally found my feet, I slipped my hand out of Seth's and quickly got closer to the cliff's edge.
Careful to keep a good distance between myself and the edge, I found myself gazing at the beautiful scene before myself that seemed like it went on forever.
Lost in thought, I jumped ever so slightly as Seth's muscular arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me back to him.
"It's so beautiful..." I mumbled softly after a moment of silence passed between us.
"So are you..." Seth whispered quietly, making a deep blush rise to my cheeks.
Thankful that Seth was behind me, I prayed he couldn't see how deep I was blushing, and I shifted on my feet as I sent my gaze to the ground for a few moments before I returned it to the scene before me, "That was pretty cliche, Seth," I spoke softly after my cheeks cooled down.
Hearing Seth laugh lightly, I smiled as Seth tightened his hold around his waist, and laughed as Seth turned me around in his arms so I was facing him, "What do you mean?" He wondered, sounding slightly hurt that I would call something of his cliche.
"It's just an overused saying is all," I explained softly, laying my hands on his chest.
Seth cocked his head to the side slightly and stared at me with amusement spread across his face, "Are you saying you didn't enjoy my compliment? Because I'm pretty sure your body would refuse due to the fact that your cheeks heated up quite rapidly..." Seth spoke sounding completely overconfident with himself in that moment.
Rolling my eyes, I looked up at him curiously, "And how would you know I did such a thing?" I wondered, raising an eyebrow at him.
"You look at the ground or divert your gaze when you are embarrassed or blushing," Seth explained to me quickly, a smile spread across his lips. Shaking my head in denial, I began to deny his claim, but he quickly interrupted me, "Do not even try to deny it, because you were quite good at avoiding my eyes after you found out your dress was see-through the other night..." Seth pointed out.
Feeling my cheeks heat up at the thought of how see-through my dress ended up being, I instantly looked away from Seth, and once his laughter touched my ears, I quickly cursed myself and intentionally brought my eyes back to his, "Alright, but that doesn't mean what you said wasn't cliche..." I claimed, bringing the conversation back to where it started, determined in that moment not to give in.
"It most certainly is not cliche, how many times exactly does a man who can turn into a wolf tell this to a girl?" Seth threw out there, a smile still spread across his lips.
Laughing lightly, I couldn't fight the smile that overtook my lips a moment later, "You win..." I sighed, admitting defeat to a hopeless cause in my case when he was quite right about the fact that the two the moment was shared between was far from cliche.
Slightly surprised that Seth didn't comment on my surrender, I stood confused for a moment, only to be broken out of it when he pulled me closer to himself, and ran his hands up and down my arms as I shivered from the cold breeze, "You want to start heading back to your house?" Seth wondered.
Shaking my head quickly, I looked up at the sky to notice the sun close to directly above out heads, and then shifted my gaze back down to Seth, "The day is still young, and after avoiding my dad I'd rather stay away from home for a while longer..." I spoke softly, "Lets do something fun," I suggested suddenly.
Watching a smile form at the edge of Seth's lips, and eventually take over his lips completely, I knew in that moment that the answer was going to be a yes. "Well, it's quite cold out. If you'd like, we can go to my place, my parents are out for the day, and we can watch a movie with some hot chocolate or something," Seth offered.
Nodding, I sent him a smile, "I'd love that," I spoke as Seth grabbed hold of my hand and laced his fingers with mine.
Giving me a smile, Seth tightened his hold on my hand and led us away from the cliff's edge.
Before long, we arrived at his house, and it was as beautiful as I remember.
Walking through the front door, I quickly shed my jacket, and being a gentleman Seth took it from me and hung it in the hallway. "How about I go make the hot chocolate and you pick out the movie?" He suggested.
Agreeing, Seth led me upstairs and showed me to a wall that was completely covered in shelves filled with movies before he quickly headed back down stairs to make the hot chocolate.
Skimming the many titles, a slightly open door just off to the right caught my eye, and as hard as I tried to ignore it and focus on the movie titles, I couldn't fight the extreme curiosity that rose when I glanced at the door. Quickly looking over to the stairs, I didn't see any sign of Seth, and decided that a quick peak at the room wouldn't hurt.
Hurrying towards the door, I pushed it open slightly, and stepped inside.
I instantly guessed it was Seth's room due to the fact that it was quite large, but it wasn't large enough to be a master bedroom in a house this big, and since I've never met any siblings of Seth's I could quite easily assume he didn't have any, leaving the only option being Seth's room.
The room was painted a light brown, and in the center of his room sat a large bed neatly made with a deep red comforter. There was a large window covering the furthest wall from me which showcased the forest, and let light flood the room. A door, I assumed led to a closet was placed on the wall next to the window beside his bed, and a deep brown dresser sat just adjacent to the bed, a flat screen television perched on top of it, and a matching bookshelf sat off to it's side filled to the brim with books of all sizes.
Smiling, I stepped into the room, and ran my fingers softly over the dresser as I passed it, stopping before the bookshelf. Crouching down in front of the books, I let my eyes skim over the titles of books, some of which I've heard of, other's I haven't.
A few moments into examining his books, I heard a throat being cleared. Standing up from where I was, and turned towards the door to see Seth standing there leaning against the door frame, "I see you found my room," Seth spoke, a smile spread across his lips.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to wander where I wasn't welcomed, you're room happened to catch my eye, and I..." I faded off, not finishing my thought at the sight of Seth's smirking face.
Pushing away from the wall, Seth walked into the room and made his way so he was standing directly infront of me, "It's perfectly alright," He spoke, "I must know though, is it anything like you'd think it to be?" He wondered.
Biting onto my bottom lip, I shook my head, "Being honest, it's way cleaner than I'd ever imagine it to be, and having a perfectly made bed as well, well you exceeded my thoughts," I explained quickly.
Seth laughed at my explanation, "My mom's a clean freak, so that explains the cleanness, but I can assure you if you don't like the bed so perfectly made we can mess it up a bit," He spoke sending me a wink.
Shaking my head, I instantly felt a blush heat my cheeks, "No...no, it's perfectly fine actually," I mumbled embarrassed, keeping my gaze on anything but Seth.
Feeling Seth grab hold of me and pull me towards him, I gasped suddenly at the feel of his lips near my neck, "I hope you know I would never push you into something..." He whispered softly, "Now, how about that movie? I'm pretty sure our hot chocolate is cool enough to drink now," He changed topics quickly, obviously getting at my uneasiness with the topic, and I thanked him for understanding with a smile.
Breaking our closeness, Seth led me out of his room by my hand and brought us back to the wall of movies.
Standing before the wall, I read over a few titles before I found myself watching Seth look through the movies instead. There was something about him, something I've never known a guy to have, minus the wolf factor, and the simple thought of that had a smile spreading across my lips, the very same smile Seth noticed a moment later, and raised his eyebrow at, obviously curious as to what it was for.

Goodness! I just want to start by saying I am SO SORRY to everyone who had difficulty reading the last chapter! I seriously can't believe that happened, and I hope that it doesn't happen ever again, let me just say it was stressful trying to figure out what was wrong!

Anyways, I hope you all enjoyed this chapter, I had a lot of fun writing this , and I can only see myself having more fun in the future writing it due to the the fact that Corey now knows about Seth's secret (Being Wolfy). Once again please ignore any mistakes, I didn't edit...
As you may have noticed, I am trying to upload at least once a week (usually on the weekends) but honestly, I really don't want to work on something that people aren't enjoying (and letting me know they enjoy it).
