I never gave enough to
Not enough respect or credit for living the life I wanted
His life is over and it makes me reflect
On all the things he did that I still want to do
To be fulfilled
No, just to be filled, every day
With what we ought to enjoy
But here I am
Waiting in vain to enjoy yesterday's fruit
When all I did was wait
I waited then and I'm waiting now
And I wonder if I've got all I deserve
Or if I'll deserve more soon
Or if I got ripped off
But more likely I'm lazy to fetch it
I deserve it all
All I've got
And all I haven't
So whatever it is that's making me stop
Should not be enough
There's never enough
Drink deep
Don't slouch
Don't leave it up to the judges
Don't save anything for the swim back.
