Starting on the next batch of dirty clothing, Shiki dutifully put them in the wash after checking any pockets on the clothes. While she waited for them to be cleaned, she started folding the clean pile of clothes.
Hearing the sound of clothes rustling beside her, she turned her head to see Captain trying to wiggle out from the pile of white boiler suits.
"Meow." sounded the small distress voice of the kitten.
Temporary leaving her task, Shiki picked up the pile of clothing, letting Captain escape from under. He ran towards her, jumping onto her lap, nuzzling her stomach before curling into a ball, ready for a nap.
Shiki stared at Captain for a while before continuing folding the Heart pirate's clothes as well as hers. Over the past few days, she had taken it upon herself to do the laundry without telling the others when she had no more relatively clean clothes to wear.
What she had saw when she found the laundry room was a mountain of clothing that was on the peek of crumbling down, smelling like old sweat socks covered in grease and oil. She wondered how the guys still had 'clean' clothes to wear when it looked like all their clothing were chucked into this room.
She had entered the room by using the butt of her scythe to poke down the sensitive mountain, cringing at the flush of stink that seemed to hit her like a wave. She hadn't brought Captain with her at that time, letting him not experience this atrocity. He was with the others which they had taken quite a liking to him.
For some reason, Bepo seemed to be beaming whenever Law was in the room, but... somewhat fidgety around her now, like he had something to say but didn't want to say it.
Did she do something wrong to the adorable bear?
She hope she didn't.
Finishing folding the last clean clothing, she was just in time for the next batch from the wash. Gently putting Captain on the ground, she took the wet clean clothes out and put them aside while repeating the cycle. When she checked a black pair of swim trunks, she pulled out a strip of paper with a series of numbers on it.
She stared at it before turning her gaze to the swim trunks, if she remembered correctly, those should be Law's.

As soon as she stepped out of the room with a sleeping Captain cradled in one arm, she frowned when she felt a burst of warmth envelop her.
The sub seemed to be getting warmer today.
Deciding to change into her black shorts and tank top before heading to the Control room, Shiki wondered if the metal sub can melt underwater.

Entering into the Control room, Shiki saw Jambarl, Bepo and Law looking over a map on a table they brought in while discussing what seemed to be about the next island.
Walking towards them, Shiki peered from under Law's arm as he pointed at a mark that was their next destination.
"-Volcanica Island is surrounded by smaller underwater volcanoes..." Law trailed off as all three of them turned their gaze to Shiki, blinking at her position before going back to their topic, "What's worst is that the island has an active volcano."
"And the next island is three days away." Jambarl grunted out, staring at another island on the map.
Bepo stared at Law with a worried look, "Ren said that our food supply is running low."
Law couldn't help but let out a sigh, it would seem that they would have to dock at the island, though he would much rather avoid it, the ship was getting warmer due to the underwater volcanoes, "Tell the others we will see land in about an hour." he ordered.
"Aye, Captain!" Bepo saluted, unknowingly making a certain kitten's ear twitched in his sleep.
Jambarl left to check on their course as Law stared at Shiki.
She stood up from her position, getting the strip of paper she found in Law's swim trunk and handed it to him.
The pirate captain raised a brow at this, taking the paper, "What's this?"
"It was in your swim trunks."
"What were you doing with my swim trunks?"
"Doing laundry." she answered, bluntly, placing a hand on Captain when she felt him stir from his nap.
Law blinked at the answer. For the past few days, he did noticed that she disappeared for half the day, training him before she did.
Now he knows why.
He then stared at the piece of paper with a frown, it was that woman's number at Paradise Island, "Throw it away." he ordered, giving it back as he turned to the map, rolling it up.
She nodded and carelessly shoved it in her back pocket before walking towards Bepo.
Law watched Shiki go up to his first mate with skeptical steel eyes. He continued watching when she gestured Bepo to lower his head and placed the curled up kitten on his head, stepping back to what looked like admiration to the sight.
Law and Jambarl (who had also been watching) sweatdropped at the sight while Bepo merely blinked.

Upon landing, Shiki frowned at the warm humidity circulating throughout the island as soon as she stepped out on deck. She didn't take Captain with her and made sure she left plenty of food and water while she was gone-there will also be some men staying behind, but just in case.
Law did the standard routine of giving out his orders to his men, letting them go.
Shiki leaped onto land after them, landing beside Leo who was happily waiting for her.
Before she could disappear with the group of pirates and explore, Law called her out which made Leo stop as well, curious to see what will happen.
"Shiki-ya, come here."
She didn't protest but before she obeyed, she handed her scythe to Leo to get him to follow her.
Leo blinked, and walked behind, not sure if it was okay for him to follow.
Law frowned but didn't comment on this, he turned to Shiki with a blank face, "There's a forest near the volcano. I want to train there."
Nodding, they took off while Leo once again blinked.

"Hey hey hey! Guess what, there's a strip club located in a cave near the beach!" Shachi and Penguin exclaimed out with wide grins, grabbing their friend's attention.
"Really?!"
"Should we check it out after our job is done?"
"Yeah, Captain wouldn't be happy if we didn't get our supplies first."
All nodding at the plan, they quickly got to work.

The forestry surrounding near the volcano seemed like a good place to train, it was far from the town and no one to disturb them. Though, it did took a while to arrive as the volcano was located at the top while the town was set up in layers beneath it in levels.
Leo stood to the side with Shiki's scythe and Law's nodachi as he watched them get right into a spar.
Shiki easily defended herself from Law's fist coated haki as she jumped back, her eyes never leaving Law as she flipped over him while his fist made contact with the tree, creating a large dent in it.
Law eyes widened slightly when his haki wore off, then frowned as he once again coat his fist in haki.
He was getting better at maintaining it but if he wasn't focus enough, the 'armor' will wear off.
They continued on for what seemed like hours but was only about 45 minutes as the ground and trees received damage from Law while Shiki stayed unscathed.
And during all that, Leo stood amazed. It was like seeing a lazy person actually being athletic-an phenomenon sight.
When sweat dripped down on Law's face as he hunched over, Shiki decided that it was time to stop.
"We should stop here." she stated, already walking over to Leo.
Law wiped the sweat off his chin as he frowned but didn't question it, using haki was very tiring.
"Is there anything else you need me to do?" Shiki asked as she took her scythe.
The pirate captain took a deep breath, getting his breathing back, "No." he stated.
She stared at Law for a moment before leaving, Leo following as they both exited the forest.
"You're teaching Captain, haki?" Leo asked, walking at her side.
"He wanted to learn it so I'm teaching him."
Leo hummed in thought as they made it out of the forest and into the town.
"Do you want to learn it?"
He blinked, turning his head to look at her, "Huh?"
"Haki. You want to learn it?"
"Well I guess so..."
"Ask me when you're not busy."
Leo let the words settle in his mind before a wide grin settle on his face, "I will."
As the two walked, they didn't notice another pair closing in on them.

"Well, what do we have here?" a low chuckle sounded from behind them.
Leo's eyes widened as he felt such intense killing aura. Quickly grabbing his rifle, he spun around and jumped back while Shiki calmly tilted her head over her shoulder.
"Eustass 'Captain' Kid..." Leo frowned, his amethyst eyes then turned to the masked man next to him, "Massacre Soldier Killer." he stated as Shiki turned her body to face them properly, adjusting her scythe on her shoulder.
Kid chuckle as a manic grin settled upon his face, his first mate, Killer, stood beside him, "Death Bringer Shiki. So you really did become a pirate."
Leo frowned at the tone, his rifle already locked and loaded.
Seeing this, Killer also prepared himself, ready to defend his Captain.
People around them quickly ran away, not wanting to be caught in a fight between pirates, even the workers behind vendors abandoned their place for safety.
Shiki merely blinked at them, leaning against her weapon with half-lidded eyes. "Is your name really called Kid?" she just had to make sure it was this pirate and not something she read from a children's menu that was labeled the 'kid's menu'. But she was pretty sure it was him... Boy, has it been a long time since she last went through pirate's bounties.
The Pirate Captain's eye twitched as he glared at her, "I already told you it is." he growled through clenched teeth.
"What a tragic childhood you must have had." she deadpanned, causing Kid to grow pissed.
"You bitch." he growled deeper, metals like chopping knives, pistols, guns and even Shiki's scythe started to quiver in blind sight.
Ignoring the insult, Shiki pointed to Killer, "Killer?"
Sighing under his blue and white striped mask, Killer crossed his arms, more patient than his Captain, "Yes, that is my name." he answered.
"My condolences for your childhood." she said with a straight face.
"... Ah... yes." Killer sweatdropped.
Leo also sweatdropped, the memory of how they first met the Kid Pirates was something similar to this. She had questioned them about their names over and over until her squad had arrived and engaged in battle.
"Oi, don't ignore me!" Kid barked at them, moving towards the two ex-marines.
Out of reflex, Leo cocked his gun at the red hair, only for it to be intercepted by the blade of a scythe that was attached to Killer's armband.
"Not so fast. My Captain only wants to talk." Killer's voice was calm and clear behind that mask of his.
Leo let out a crooked smirk, tilting his head at the mask man, "My apologies, it seems my body reacted on its own." he replied as both men pulled back, weapons still at the ready.
Shiki stared at Kid-more specifically, his lips.
Kid clicked his tongue, looking annoyed, "Try to restrain that dog of yours."
She cocked a brow, looking mildly confused, "I don't have a dog." she has a kitten though, a very cute one at that. She also has Bepo... well not quite, he belongs to Law and the Heart Pirates- but she was also a part of the Heart Pirates so Bepo did kinda belong to her in a sense, "We have a kitten and a polar bear." her stoic face seemed to be beaming at that.
A vein popped out of the red head's forehead while Leo and Killer held in a huff of laughter at Shiki's denseness.
"You..." no words could describe the frustrating anger that was building up within Kid as hidden metals around them began to rattle, "Idiot." he breathed.
Now that was mean. Her lips pulled into a frown as she moved her eyes away from his lips to his eyes, "I don't want to hear that from someone who wears lipstick and nail polish."
Snap
Veins protruded from his neck and forehead out of anger as he raised his hand out, sparks of purple appeared at the palm, "You'll regret saying that." he hissed darkly as Shiki looked confused. The look on her face made him smirk darkly as an unsuspecting dagger, from a vendor's counter, came flying towards Shiki from behind.
By the time Leo noticed the blade, it was too late for him to block it, "SHIKI!'
The dagger plunged itself into Shiki's back where her heart was, causing her to stumble forward, her eyes shadowed.
"KYAAAA!" a civilian in hiding screamed, only for her friend to clamp her mouth in fear that the pirate will target them.
Leo stood there, petrified, shocked eyes. His mouth was dry as he stared at Kid's dagger plunged in Shiki's heart, while the man himself frowned.
"Well, that was disappointing, I was expecting more of a fight from you, seeing how you used to be a Vice-Admiral." he sighed, disappointed at such a weakling. He turned around and started walking, "Come on, Killer, we're leaving."
"Yes, Kid."
They didn't even get to walk three steps when they froze in their spots.
"I would appreciate it if you didn't put a hole in my shirt. I don't go out shopping so my wardrobe is a bit low."
It also took a moment to register that his ex-superior was still alive, "Shiki!" Leo shouted in relief, his hands hovering over her to catch her.
Both Kid and Killer slowly looked over their shoulders in disbelief. Kid's eyes were wide as he stared at the standing woman flipping the dagger in her hand with a frown.
"How?" he demanded, turning his body to fully face her.
She caught the dagger by the tip, throwing it to the side as she pulled her tank top down, just enough to reveal the square hole in her chest, "My heart got taken out." she bluntly stated as all of them looked shocked.
Kid's red lips slowly formed into a psychotic grin as metals around them began flying towards him, sticking to his arm to form one large metallic arm. He stalked towards her like a predator as Shiki grabbed her scythe with both hands, bending her legs a bit as she stared bored.
"It seems that I have to crush that head of yours, instead."
"That would kill me." Shiki stated with a straight face as Kid lunged at her with his weaponized arm.

"This is the dream." Shachi sighed in bliss as he watched scantily clad women strut their stuff on the built in wooden stage.
"You said it, buddy." Penguin grinned blissfully, shamelessly staring.
The Heart Pirates cheered as many more voluptuous looking women walked by, giving them their ordered drinks with sly smiles.
Law sat in one of the booth made out of stones in boredom, even when women came over to him, trying to get his attention. After resting in the forest, he met up with Bepo who told him most of his crew were here. Nothing here was interesting apart from the layout of this strip club in a cave, levels of stone platform merged on the cave wall in a roundabout.
"Captain, are you okay?" Bepo asked, munching on some fish.
"Everything's fin-"
All of a sudden, a large ball made out of clunks of metal items burst through the cave wall, flying across the room before implanting into the wall, shaking the cave with debris falling down.
Many screams of confusion echoed in the area as they scrambled away from the damage.
"What the fuck is going on?!" Kyle shouted, over the sea of people, pushing them aside when they bumped into him.
A stiletto clad foot shot out from the clunk of metal, kicking a part of the metal items away as another came out before arms, that were littered with bloody cuts, pulled itself from inside the metal contraption.
"Shiki-chan?!" the Heart Pirates exclaimed.
Shiki slightly winced when her long hair was snagged by one of the metal items, pulling some strands out. Feeling copper still in her mouth, she spat blood to the side, a cut on her cheek still trickled out blood. Yanking her scythe from the side that was magnetized to the ball, she tilted her head to the side, cracking a few bones in place before straightening herself.
"Still alive, huh."
Everyone turned to the large boulder size hole in the wall and couldn't help but pale.
It was Eustass 'Captain' Kid.
But he didn't look any better than Shiki as a deep cut was shown on his left shoulder blade, yet it wasn't shallow enough to cause any serious damage. Cuts also littered on his arms, chest and face, but nothing serious.
Men and women began to flea from the area, screaming, as people pushed each other out of the way for safety.
Shiki's stalk slowly turned into a jog before running towards him, leaping at him half way through with her scythe over her head, ready to swing down.
Just as the blade was closing in...
"Repel!"
Shiki quickly abandoned her scythe, as it was pulled from her hands by a force, and maneuvered her body into a kick, bringing her leg harshly down towards Kid, only for his mechanical arm to block it.
He clenched his jaw at the pressure, jerking back his other hand to command the scythe to come back with the sharp side aiming at Shiki.
Seeing this, Shiki quickly flipped back as strands of her hair were cut instead.
Seeing one of his rivals here, Law couldn't help but frown at who it was, his hand gripped onto his nodachi as he began walking towards them, but just as he could, Leo came rushing at him with concern showing all over his face.
"Captain! Shiki! Eustass Kid stabbed her! Hole! Alive!" Leo panicked as Law stopped.
"Leo-ya, calm down and tell me what happened."
Explaining what happened as quickly as possible without messing up, Law slightly relaxed, explaining how it was possible.
"... So you mean to tell me you took her heart out with your devil fruit abilities?" Leo summed up, now calm as Shiki wasn't in danger.
Law stared at the fight before summoning his 'Room'. The panicked people in the cave became even more panicked but Law wasn't focus on them, "Shambles." before Shiki could swing her scythe that she got a hold of, she suddenly found herself landing in Law's arms.
"It would be nice if I didn't see you here, Eustass-ya." Law smirked as he gently put Shiki on her feet.
"Trafalgar Law." he growled, turning to him.
Law ignored him as he tilted Shiki's chin towards him while examining the cut on her cheek, caressing it with his thumb, "Any broken bones?"
"No."
"Oi! Don't ignore me!"
Turning his narrowed steel gaze to him, Law grabbed his nodachi as he stepped towards his fellow rival, "Why don't we settle this between us?" he grinned darkly.
Kid huffed, returning the grin with his own, "I rather take out the ex-Vice Admiral, if you don't mind."
Seeing that she wasn't going to fight anymore, Shiki grew bored, placing her scythe down as she scanned the area. Her golden eyes landed on Killer finally arriving as he stepped over rubbles from the wall, giving off a feeling of fatigue as he found his Captain engage in another fight.
Shiki stared at Killer.
Or more specifically, his mask.
She walked over to him, stopping a foot away from him as he looked at her, tilting his head, "Since we have the time, I wanted to ask you something."
He crossed his arms, "And that is?"
"Can I treat you to lunch?"
...
The Heart pirates and the two Captains all stopped and stared dumbfounded at the two, speechless before Killer thought about it.
It was a free lunch and he was getting hungry.
"Okay."
"The fuck?!"
Up a few levels sat the beautiful white hair man, this time, wearing a traditional blue yukata while his plain traditional parasol placed to the side on him.
"Oh Shiki-chan, you player." he grinned, returning to a flower he was doodling as many people ran pass him as if he wasn't there.
