Lachlan is in the Army Part 2 Ending 2
~Vik's Pov~
He's coming home. He's coming home. He's coming home. I could not think how much more happy I could possibly be. He's safe and he's coming back home.
Grinesa and I decorate the whole house.
Now we are having a lunch break and I want her to try the rice and vegetable stir I made.
"Baby can you just try a spoonful." I whine at her. She sits in her chair arms folded across her chest. She huffs and shakes her head as I try to bring the spoon to her mouth. "Please. I cooked it and don't you smell it. It smells so yummy." She looks at me with a look that says 'really dad'.
I hear a huff behind me and I she Lachlan leaning on the door. He looks at me sympathetically as I try to feed our child. Grinesa grabs a hold of my wrist and I pry my eyes away from Lachlan and look at our sweet child.
She looks at me with innocent eyes and stuffed cheeks. She chews a bit and speaks. "Ok I finished can we finish decorating now." Bits of rice come out of her stuffed mouth and I look at her surprised. I turn back to where Lachlan was.
He's gone. It was another vision. They started happening when I learned he's coming back. They always give me half a heart attack but they really don't mean much.
I look back at my daughter and mechanically gather the dishes. She hops off her chair and heads over to the box full of "welcome home" decorations.
I wash the dishes and stare off into space. I don't feel in my body, I feel like I'm watching myself. I watch myself smiling with Grinesa, I watch myself picking her up to hang the decorations higher. I watch as we get the house near and the table set for tomorrow. I watch as we lay on the couch watching frozen. I watch as we fall asleep halfway through, exhausted from all the work.
I fall into a sleep only to wake up soon after. Somehow it's already morning I can tell from the light filling in the house. Grinesa isn't with me. I sit up on the couch confused. It takes a few seconds to realize Lachlan was coming home soon. Checking the clock, He's coming in 10 minuets. I slowly sit up and stretch feeling sore from sleeping on the couch.

~Lachlan's Pov~
Vik and I finished putting together our future yesterday and there are tools and supplies everywhere.
I'm glad we finished just in time for our anniversary. I planned a special day out with Vik at a really fancy restaurant that took me ages to get get a reservation. It is all worth it to make this one year anniversary happen.
As I'm pulling up my pants I hear a knock on the door.
"Come in," I said as I start to button up my shirt.
Vik walks in. His hair looks softer than usual. The tux he was wearing fit him perfectly. He wore a traditional black suit with a red tie. His suit showed his handsome figure. His butt was defined perfectly. I licked my lips. Oh the things I can do to this man.
"Darn it I thought you wouldn't be dressed yet." Vik says lowly with a smirk.
"We could easily change that," I reply getting the memo.
Vik walks close to me ms I wrap my arms around his waist bending down to kiss him.

~Vik's Pov~
I sink into the couch warm and comfortable as the harsh cold weather continues to attack people outside. Under a blanket I read a book. My eyes lazily scan the page filling my head with words transferring them to images. It's a peaceful and quiet moment.
This is a relaxing day I can just spend for myself. I pause my reading and reach over for my cup of tea. I feel the warm liquid fill my body and continue reading. What a way to spend downtime really. It is great.
I hear Lachlan upstairs yelling at his computer. I huff in a laughing matter thinking what he could be yelling at.
I delve back into the book. It fills my mind with colorful images sending me on adventures in a different world showing me the life of someone who doesn't exist in this world. They exist in my mind.
I hear Lachlan's footsteps stomping down the stairs, pulling me out of the imaging but I continue reading. I feel his eyes on the back of my head and hear him quiet down walking to the kitchen. Then a clash of pans falling to the ground hits my ears. The harsh metro sound makes me cringe.
I hear Lachlan trying to quietly curse and smile continuing my reading.
Not soon after do I feel the couch sink. Lachlan starts scooting closer to me. I lift my arm slightly still reading. He snuggles in burying his head into my neck pressing a soft kiss.
"What were you yelling at upstairs," I murmur setting my book down on the table.
"Five Nights at Freddy's is not fun and will never be," he grunted. I feel him nuzzle into my chest. Even after all this time the feeling of being so close.
Down Goes the City
~Lachlan's Pov~
The news gets told to me over the phone. He's gone. Someone plotted this. To kill him.
I set the phone down. My chest aches as if something were physically ripping my heart out. Vik was taken away from me. He was a part of me.
What do I do without him. How am I going to live without him.
