Chapter 38
Amethyst.
It was time. It was officially time. There was nothing now. Nothing that could save her. She had no time left. She was leaving. For good. She was leaving. And she would never be coming back. It would be difficult at first, getting over the amazing people and moving yet again away from a different place which had been her home for so long... She didn't even mean to make any friends here at all! It just happened. And now that she was leaving, it was time to say goodbye.
But only one of them knew the truth...
Amethyst hugged Ashley tightly, taking note of the comfort. It would be years before she was loved this much again. If she even survived the next few years.
"Thank you," Amethyst whispered. "Thank you, for being a great friend when I needed you most. I'll never forget you."
"It's OK, Am. You don't have to thank me for being a great friend- that's what friends are for. That's what we're supposed to do."
Amethyst looked at her red-haired friend in the eyes and the two hugged again.
"Go. Before he catches you. I'll stall them."
Amethyst shifted into her wolf, but not after saying something else:
"Goodbye, Ashley."
Amethyst trotted over to where the edge of the pack border was, lifted a paw and was about to cross-
That was until something stopped her. Or someone very important to her.
"Amethyst! Wait!" A familiar voice called out to her, stopping her in her tracks.
Ariel.
"Amethyst! Wait! Please don't go! Please stay with me! I need you, darling! I can help you! Just stay where you are! Please, darling!" Another familiar voice.
Dustin.
Mate.
Run.
Slowly, she retracted her paw and turned around slightly so she could see them through the corner of her eye.
They way they looked at her was difficult to look at. Their eyes were full of... Disappointment. Anger. Hatred. Pain.
But no matter what, no matter what she felt for her mate, whatever the feelings or attachments she had to him wouldn't matter. It wouldn't be needed. It would be hated.
For as long as she was in this mess, she would have to hate him. She would have to learn how to stay away from him. She needed to distract herself away from him, which her wolf disagreed with greatly, wanting to pull back and run to their mate, but it needed to be done. They needed to focus on the task at hand- getting away from that vile creature.
She needed to gather up some old friends of hers... And all within two weeks. She got over here in two years.
This will be a fun road trip! But who knows how long it will last for?
Looking around her, her eyes saw the looks her best friends gave her. They were silently pleading her not to go, but she had no choice.
She had to go. Violet eyes collided with deep, stormy blue pupils.
Her mate. He was begging her not to leave him. But she couldn't stay. It wasn't safe for her anymore.
She had to go.
"I'm sorry," she mind-linked them, her eyes still focused on her mate.
With that, she turned, her paws stepping over the border. Her feet dug into the ground, and she sped off into the trees. Off to live as a rogue.
Off to gather her old friends.
Off to war.
But while she was running, wolves jumped out from the middle of nowhere toppling on top of her. They reeked of death and violence, the stench filling her sensitive nostrils. They tumbled, the creatures pinning her to the ground.
Rogues.
Fears are wolves without their teeth...
They bit, clawed, and nipped at her. She was defenceless, yet she had protection from her wolf. Little protection, but it was still something to help.
A blurred shadow interrupted them, Amethyst recognising them, but not believing it. They were supposed to be dead. She thought she'd never see them again!
But before she could confirm their identity, she slipped into darkness.
Meanwhile...
Back at the border...
Amethyst's Mate (Third Person Perspective).
Her mate buckled to the ground, the agony becoming too much for him to bear. There was nothing to help him now. The only thing that could help him had left his side. And possibly forever.
Amethyst! His wolf howled out, calling for their mate.
Why would she leave? Was she alright? Would she be okay out there on her own?
He had no clue.
Lifting his head, he looked out into the forest in which she had disappeared, her intoxicating scent fading. The scent he didn't have enough time to recognise and remember. The scent that had left him alone so many times before.
Cherries and Apples.
Would he ever get to smell it again?
Of course, he would. She would return. Amethyst would return to him. They would be together. Everything would be okay. Eventually. He just had to cope until she was safe in his arms. He just had to believe it until she came back.
Until she was safe in his arms, alive and well, he wouldn't believe that she was okay...
Freya.
It's happening. It's starting.
Soon...
Ariel will be in heat.
I will get everything. We will have everything. My plan is working. Everything's coming together.
I was, of course, extremely excited for it.
Who wouldn't be? When everything was soon to be yours, when everything you've dreamed of becomes yours, you obviously become excited about it.
That silly Amethyst was smart for running. She has come a long away, including her friends. But it won't be enough. It won't be enough to aid her pathetic friends.
They will all be slaves soon. Slaves to the darkness. Particularly Ella.
That poor mate of hers... He doesn't know what will happen... Yet...
And Jacob will have a nice surprise.
I think I'll let him watch as Ariel is tortured. And I'll torture him as his mate shows her true, slutty side in front of him, getting on her knees and pleasing other men willingly...
It will be brilliant!
Besides, it won't matter soon. She will be caught soon by the trap laid out for her. You see, I already have everything planned out.
All I need is my four main ingredients.
The bait is set up, the traps are perfect.
Everything is ready. Everything will happen soon. Soon... Everything will happen. The war will begin. Blood shall be shed, but until then, the torture and spells will commence.
Nobody alive can stop me!
The Moon Goddess is now dead! And there is nobody left to take that position!
Even if they did, I would still be unstoppable!

I forgot to update last night.
Oops.
BUT AT LEAST I REMEMBERED NOW!
My legs are absolutely dead from horse riding this morning. And then there was an accident so I was home nearly an hour later than usual because of the buses being late and then we had to get in a taxi to go through the diversion.
Perks of living in the middle of nowhere guys. 5 stars. Totally recommend it.
BUT AMETHYST HAS GONE GUYS! IS SHE DEAD?! WHO THE HECK IS HER MATE?
