Chapter-1-"Stop eating your fingers Little One"
Before you guys start, I should say that I have changed the plot a little. So, please read the description of the story before reading the chapter. Everything is same, but only one part is changed.
Alexander Rodriguez's POV
My eyes scanned the file in front of me as my personal detective, Issac stood in front of me with his hands behind his back. I carefully read everything in it. I don't want to miss even a small information about this person.
"Sir, I did my best, but I can't find anything wrong about him. Although my gut tells me otherwise. I check through him again. This time I will hire most of my men on him", he said stiffly. Throwing the file on the table I looked at him.
"Do anything! Do everything! I don't care! I want you to find out everything about him! Every. Minute. Detail. I want to put an end to him! I want you to dig deep into this no matter what. It's a matter about Kiara. I don't things lightly when it comes to her. This bastard acts like the best boyfriend, but nothing is right with him". My voice came out angrily as I stood up and out my hands in my pant pocket.
"I will do everything to find out about him. This time, I won't miss anything. I will keep a very close eye on him. I will make sure to record things if we find anything doubtful and show them to you sir", he said in a professional voice and nodded his head.
"Good. Make it quick. You can go now", dismissing him, I took my phone to see the time. Issac left and it's already nine thirty at night. I sighed before going into my bedroom and laid on my bed. It has been a very long day.
I hope that Issac finds more about Sam, Kiara's boyfriend. Since I had took over the family business, the security and safety of Kiara fell in my hands since I was the elder one of all and I was happy about it too. From then on, I made sure no harm comes to her.
I remember the first time I saw her. I was twelve years old when my parents took me and my brothers to the hospital saying that our families are finally having a girl, a princess. My father even told me that I should take care and I was more than excited about it. What can I do? I was a kid and till then, we all were only boys. Having a girl in the family, made everyone excited.
Once we entered the hospital and started walking to the room where she is, my seven year old twin brothers got excited. I was excited about it too, but never showed it out. Since I was the eldest, I was a little mannered person compared to them all. Once we entered the room I was for some reason instantly pulled to the crib in which she was.
I was quite tall and I can see her clearly. Her bright blue eyes stared back at me with all the innocence. There were tears in her eyes and she was whimpering. I try to hold her hand, that are in a fist. I wanted her to stop crying. I was about to pull my hand away, but she held on to it, holding on to it. My heart swelled.
I looked at her and our eyes met, I don't know why, but I am sure that there is some magical power in her eyes, by which I was bewitched. After that, a few days later, I was holding her in my arms as I sat on the sofa in Mr. Knights house. I can't believe how tiny she was. She was looking at me with those big blue eyes, like I was all her hope.
Something inside me snapped and I kissed her forehead calling her the one word that I was always stuck with, Little One. I may probably sound like a love sick fool, but that's not it. I was there when she took her first steps and every other event of her life when she was a kid.
I stayed away from her as much as possible as we grew. On her twelveth birthday, there was a grand party like always. I took over the business by that time and was away for a while then. I should say I missed her then. By that time, the last time I saw her was when she was nine years old. She was still a kid, wearing pigtails then. Once I saw her on her birthday, I was knocked.
She grew. Like really grew, not only height, but her body too. I was double her age at that time and it bothered me. I decided to stay away from her from then on. I never saw her from then, but I made sure to keep every record about her like where she went and what she is doing. Though, Hades, her elder brother, wanted to take over her security issues, I convinced him.
If he took it over, I wouldn't be able to sleep well every night. I would be worried about her security all the time. He always keeps a close on her though. After all she is the only girl in the family and treated like the princess she is.
Tomorrow is her birthday again and my dad called me to his house to discuss something and informed that her parents will be there along with her. My heart keeps itching me to see her again. The past eight years, I had only been seeing her in the pictures from business news or magazines. I should say, she became a women and that only awakened the male beast on me.
I never felt this protective about a person but for her. I feel this undeniable pull to her. It sounds weird and wrong. She is a lot younger than me. Twelve years younger than me. I always remind that myself. I always made sure to keep men away from her. But this Sam, her boyfriend.... Slipped in easily in her life. There is something wrong about him. I need to find that out before the damage is more.
With that thought, I closed my eyes, falling into a deep sleep.
My alarm went off and woke me up in the early morning at seven O' clock. I did my daily routine. Brushed, bathed, get dressed and ate my breakfast made by my maid, Maria. But today, the only difference is, my heart is anticipating to meet someone when I go home. That some being Kiara. I only always wished her through phone, which is a brief conversation, before cutting off.
My driver took me to the airport soon and I got in my private plane. All through the plane ride I worked and soon we reached California. Getting out of my plane, I checked the time in my Rolex and saw that it was ten in the morning. As soon as I step foot on the ground, the anticipation became more in my heart. I got in my car that is waiting for me at the airport. Many questions ran through my mind in the way.
Does she remember me?
That on question nagged me the most. I maintained my cold self. Soon we got there and I got out of the car to look at the very familiar mansion which I am brought up in. I looked at the parking a found Mr. Knights car. Meaning they are already here. She is here.
I climbed the few steps that are at the entrance of the front door and looked up, not expecting to see the first person as her. I entered inside the mansion and took my time to analyze her. She is looking so damn beautiful in her light blue dress. The photos are nothing compared to her real beauty. She is looking down while biting her nails. My gaze travelled all over her.
A small smile appeared on my face as I thought about how many times I saw her biting her nails. Guess some habits never change. I can see that she is nervous about something. What might it be?
"Stop eating you fingers Little One", my voice came out very masculine voice. She lifted her head up and looked at me. Her beautiful big blue eyes, went wide as she saw me. I felt at relief as she recognized me.
I just stared at her. The air blew her hair. Time stopped still. I took slow steps towards her. Before I can go near her, she turned around and ran outside. I followed her and found her sitting on the sofa with a flushed face. A smirk appeared on my face, as I knew it was me the reason for her flushing like that.
"There he came", I heard my father say. I hugged my mother and kissed her cheek. I went to sit on the sofa to sit beside her while looking into her eyes. She peeked at me through her eye lashes. I kept looking at her as my parents talked. She seemed very nervous. I just can't get enough of looking at her beautiful face. Not wanting to look like a creep, I looked away.
"So dad, why did you call me to come?", Alexander asked his father. Through my peripheral vision, I saw her twiddling her thumbs.
"Okay. I will put it straight. Kiara will be living with you for the next two months", my father said. Mr. knight rolled his eyes at my father's straight forwardness. But that was not something that I was expecting.
"What?!", me and her said at the same time. But she had shock written all over her face. I just smirked.
Two months with her, with my Little One.
