Two in a Million: 22 | Love Bites
| Laura Marano |

"I've changed my mind. I'm not leaving the house today." I conclude, wrapping a blanket around me as I curl up on the couch. I heard Ross groan from inside the kitchen where he was helping himself to some cereal.

"Come on, it's almost noon. Apple won't be too busy right now. And, you really need food. This cereal is stale." This time, I'm the one who groans out in annoyance. "Laura, I'm offering to go grocery shopping with you. You should be jumping for joy right now. I hate grocery shopping." I turn around and stick out my bottom lip. "Five. Four. Three. Two. On-"

"I'M GOING!" I shout, throwing the blanket off me in a dramatic way and stomping all the way back to my bedroom where I proceeded to pick out clothes. He never said I had to look cute. So, I grabbed a light grey Nike sweatshirt, black nike leggings, kept my glasses on, and then threw my hair up think a messy bun. I grab my black roshes and head back to the living room where Ross was still shirtless, in only his jeans, and sitting on my counter.

"See, was that so bad?" He asks.

"No makeup? A sports bra underneath this, my glasses, and messy hair? I look terrible." I conclude, grabbing the half eaten pop tart I put in a ziplock bag.

"Nope, don't eat that. I'm taking you out for breakfast as well. Give me two minutes!" He was already booking it to my bedroom. A few minutes later, he came out in his clothes from yesterday; white t-shirt, black jacket, blue ripped jeans, and his black beanie. I waited as he slipped his converse on, grabbed his keys and his phone, then looked back at me. "Ready?" He asks.

"No." I mutter, following close behind him. Once I got in his car, I started to realize that not too long ago, Rydel told me Ross was a terrible driver.

The whole ride to the Apple Store was complete torture. Ross needed to go back to drivers ed or he'll end up killing somebody. Do I really want to get a new phone? Ross sighs and unlocks the car doors. I watch as he steps out, makes his way to my side, and opens the car door for me.

"Come on. It won't be that bad." He says quietly. Groaning for the umpteenth time today, I get out of the car and follow behind him as we approach the doors.

"Welcome to Apple, can I help you?" A guy, maybe forty, asks.

"Uh, yes. I actually broke my phone the other day and was wondering if I could get a new one?" I ask, holding it out for him to look at. The whole screen was shattered, even half the screen was missing, and I chipped the corner of it.

"Wow, that's a bad one." The guy murmurs. "How'd you manage this?" I pick at my nails.

"Threw it at a wall." I whisper. His eyes widen.

"Follow me." I look back at Ross, who was already eyeing the laptops. I quickly catch up with the guy who pulls me over to a small counter in the corner of the store. "Did you have anything backed up?" He asks.

"Yes. On my computer at home I have all my pictures and I backed up my phone every night." I reply. He nods his head, clicking stuff on the computer.

Almost an two hours later, I got my new rose gold iPhone 6s with all my contacts, all my pictures, a new screen protector, and even a cute flower case. Ross even bought a new laptop, which he claims it to be his moms because hers broke while on tour and hasn't gotten around to getting a new one.

"Mind if we make a pit stop at my house? That way I can actually make you something to eat and I blew all my money so I got to get more." He says, reversing out of his spot.

"Yeah it's fine." I whisper. His house was small, like mine, but cute. The flowers in the front were my favorite. Despite like eight cars parked in front, it was really nice. I followed him up the front steps and into the house, where I saw five people already. Rocky, Gator, Shor, Rydel, Gil and Stormie were all in the living room.

"Mom, I bought you a new laptop for you." Ross says, handing her the box it's in. Stormie's eyes light up and she pulls him into a hug. Oh what I'd do to have a loving mom like her.

"Aw, thanks, Ross Shor." I awkwardly unlock my phone and then lock it back up. "Hi, Laura." She says, giving me a wave. I wave back, a shy smile on, and then look over at Ross.

"We're just gonna eat real quick then go grocery shopping. I'll most likely be back tonight. When's uh, um... Shit, what do we have coming up?" He asks. A small laugh escapes my mouth. He turns to me and glares before turning back to his mom.

"Hockey practice tomorrow?" Rocky asks, looking at Ross.

"Yeah, sure. What else?" I ask.

"Um... Wanna look at the house tomorrow as well?" Ross whips around at the mention of that and I couldn't help but smile at his childish actions.

"We got it?!" Rocky nods his head. "When can the three of us move in?" Three of them?

"In two weeks." Ross quickly high fives his older brother with a gigantic smile. "So, Ryland and I are leaving at eleven tomorrow to go check it out, then heading straight to the ice. You in for both of that?" He asks. "Riker and dad will meet us there with the little monsters."

"Hey, I'm not a monster!" Aw, Gator's so cute.

"Why don't we head into the kitchen." Rydel says, grabbing my arm. She was on the phone earlier and only smiled at me when I came in. "So... what's been going on? Ross texted Ry last night saying he was staying the night because you needed it?" I sigh and look down.

"Uh, I've been back here for two and a half weeks. My great uncle passed away the day after his surgery and my dad kinda told me he was my dad minutes before the announcement of my uncles death." I sum it up in one breath. Her eyes widen.

"Aw, I'm so sorry. Ross said your family has a rough history." She pulls me in for a hug. "How've you been holding up?"

"Good, now. Ross sorta made me let all my feelings out. Now, I need to tweet out that I'm okay. Being MIA is hard on the world, I guess." I say, pulling out my phone.

@lauramarano: You have no idea how sorry I am for being MIA these past few weeks. I promise an explanation video coming Saturday.

@lauramarano: And yes, I'm back for good. Videos every Saturday and Wednesday starting this Saturday!

@lauramarano: Love you all to the Moon and back ❤️❤️

"I'll heat up some left over French toast. That sound good?" Ross asks, coming into the kitchen.

"Yeah." I reply, looking up at him. He gives me a small smile before preparing a plate with five pieces of French toast and shoves them in the microwave. "You're moving out?" I ask, the second he sits up on the counter in front of me.

"Yeah. Me, Rocky and Ryland all decided to get a house, well rent a house, and turn the garage into a studio like our last house we rented. Rydellington's moving out next week to a house they rented and Riker's moving in with his girlfriend so we decided we didn't wanna live with our parents for the time being." He explains. "It's literally down the street from here." I chuckle and open up the microwave to grab our food. It was almost three in the afternoon, but French toast is good no matter what time it is.

"Mhmm, this is good." He gives me a smile.

"Hey, did you tweet yet?" He asks, taking bites of his own.

"Yeah. I'll film tomorrow." I say. We eat in silence the rest of the time.

"God, I remember why I hate grocery shopping so much." Ross mumbles, sitting beside me on my couch. I laugh at his irritation and lightly slap his chest.

"It wasn't that bad." I say, looking at him. He gives me a straight face. "Thanks for paying, though. Three hundred dollars on groceries for me. I'll have to pay you back." I add.

"Don't worry about it. Just don't forget to unload everything." Rolling my eyes, I lean my head back on the couch and stare up at the ceiling. "They were idiots." Laughing loudly, I look over at him to see his thinking face on. "They were literally messing up everything! And he was short fifty fucking dollars! I was about ready to slap his sorry ass."

"Dude, calm down. He was like seventy years old and his daughter was pregnant. They didn't look like the richest of people. You should be happy they accepted your fifty dollars. It was very nice of you." He winks at me at the mention of me saying it was nice, and I couldn't help the blush that crept up to my cheeks.

"Hey, think we could go into your room and have a quickie?' My eyes widen, I gasp, and I hit his chest. His contagious girly giggle/laugh comes out. "I'm kidding I'm kidding!" He grabs both my wrists and puts them around his own waist, making me hug him. "I'm totally kidding, Laur." I rest my head on his chest, not really caring if my glasses were getting squished.

"You know, I would've kicked you out if you were any other guy." I say.

"Am I special or something?" He asks.

"Obviously, dummy. I haven't liked a guy since I was sixteen." I reply. His hands sneak underneath my sweatshirt and onto my back, where he gently runs his fingers tips along my bare skin. "Maybe I am ready for a relationship." I whisper.

"You are?" He asks.

"Yeah, I think so." I mumble. "Hey, why were you flipping out on me last night? You said you hated me like a million times." I say, lifting my head up to shimmy my glasses off. They fell to the couch, where Ross picked them up and set them on the arm rest. "Thanks." I whisper.

"I was just pissed off. My biggest fear was you just not liking me anymore and never wanting to see me again. I figured if I was to the one to come clean and say I didn't like you anymore, then I would be ok with the rejection subject. Sorry if I scared you, I was scared myself." So cute. Lifting my head up, I look at his face and see his eyes closed and his head resting back against the couch. Slowly, I lean down and gently place my lips on his, giving him a short kiss. His grip tightened on my waist the second he realized what I just did. "What was that for?" He asks, lifting his head up.

"I've been rude so I thought I'd make you feel a little better." I mumble, already becoming embarrassed. Ross only smiles.

"You don't have to get embarrassed when you want to kiss me. Trust me, the amount of times I've wanted to kiss you today is more than you'd ever know." He replies, his famous smirk back in place. "You know, I don't think that last kiss really made me feel any better." He whispers.

"It didn't?" I whisper back. He slightly shakes his head. "Would another one help?" I add, already leaning in closer.

"Maybe." His voice was barely above a whisper. At last, I finally bring my lips onto his and cup his left cheek. I almost forgot what kissing him felt like. His soft lips parted a tinny bit and that's when he licks my bottom lip. He gently squeezes my side, causing my lips to part as I let out a small gasp. It's like New Years all over again. His hand travels up my back and stops at the base of my neck, which he uses to support as he lowers me onto my back while still being on the couch.

To be honest, I could care less if this was too fast. I love this boys kisses and I was not going to ruin this anytime soon. His lips leave mine, leaving me breathless, only to place them on my jawline. This boy is driving me crazy.

"Your sweatshirt is in the fucking way." He mutters. He wanted to leave a hickey. Oh gosh, he will be the death of me.

"Then take it off." Laura! What the hell are you doing?

"Laura, I don't want to rush-" I place my hand on the nape of his neck and play with his little hairs.

"Ross, I sleep in a sports bra every night. Taking off my sweatshirt is as far as I'd ever go for a while." I whisper, looking him in the eyes.

"You sure?" I nod my head. "You positive?" I pull his head down and kiss his lips roughly. He didn't hesitate to pull my sweatshirt off and leave a million love bites all over my neck.
