Greetings good people!!!!
I hope I find you all well.

So here is the Recap

"Excuse me sir but we are just trying to enjoy some piece and quiet," Mel said with a tight lipped smile.
"Did you hear that? She wants piece and quiet. This here ain't the place for such especially for the likes of you," the one named Brad said.
"We don't like your kind around these here parts. It's bad for business," the other said.
"Especially with dirt like you," he said before spitting right in Mel's face...

And Now...

"Thank you for notifying us," Mel whispered wiping away the spit with a napkin noticing Linc mumbling to himself as he looked down at the table eyes closed. She felt his hand tremble with anger and anyone looking closely would notice the vivid tap of his leg before he snapped his head up.
"Where is the police chief?" He asked with a smile that looked sincere to anyone who didn't know him.
"Why is this piece of crap asking about the sheriff?" Brad asked as his buddy shrugged whilst Linc chuckled looking away from them catching eyes with Mel.

Mel looked around the diner noticing several people leaving shaking their heads in disappointment as some stayed behind.
"You should go back wherever the hell you came from. And you," he said pointing at Mel. "Before you leave make sure that seat is spotless, we wouldn't want an epidemic breakout."
"How far is the nearest hospital?" Linc asked in serious tone.
"This idiot keeps asking stupid questions. What you should be asking is were the nearest exit."
"Yeah and I think you need help finding it," Brad said grabbing Mel's arm yanking her up as she winced in pain from his tight grip.
"Lincoln," she cried out as she watched Linc's eyes darken more than they already were as his gaze snapped towards the arm holding Mel.

"That hand," he said in a deadly tone nostrils flaring. "That hand," he repeated closing his eyes as he took a deep breath a dangerous smile forming upon his lips.
Slowly standing up he easily towered over the two buffoons as Brad's hold on her became slack but not loose enough for her to let go.
"Lincoln, look at me," Mel said as she stopped struggling from Brad's grasp.
Shifting his gaze from the nuisance he looked down at her a gentle smile appearing on his face.
Pulling out his phone he pressed a single button before putting it away.
"I will deal with the rest love. Him you can have," he smiled as he looked straight at Brad who had a confused look on his face.
A few seconds later the diner phone started ringing. The manager a tall lanky man who was most likely in his early forties picked up the phone. Who was he speaking to? None other than Ken as he gave him a quick briefing on what was happening going as far as saying.
"I'm afraid tomorrow's headlines might be...'Young couple found dead' in this little town of ours, he chuckled. Ken must have been coaxing him for the idiot to runt this far before he started speaking as the manager listened.

To see a grown man become pale in front of you meant he was either very afraid, ill or dead. And the manager looked like he was close to the latter as Ken most likely informed him the trouble they had just created.
"Sh*t," he breathed out just as Linc locked the doors. How he got there no one knew as they turned to face him. He stood out like a god, his shoulders squared, mouth set into a thin line, hands fisted as his sides. And the fact that he towered over most of the idiots he was just in his element as no one spoke in the diner. It seemed as though they were waiting for him to make the first move which he indulged them in.

"Not a child or woman in sight," Linc smiled as he scanned the diner. "Well except for you my love," he said giving Mel a sultry look as Brad tightened his grip on her arm.

"So remind me again. Who has a problem with my relationship with this gorgeous woman," he said.
Several of the men took steps forward looking furious.
"Good," Linc smiled as they looked at him with confusion written all over their eyes.

"We want you and that little c*nt to leave this instance," another spat as he walked up to Linc.

You know when you are out in the wild and you make the mistake of stepping into a lions territory also making the mistake of stepping on a twig gaining the attention of the beast.
Well thats exactly what happened as Linc grabbed the man by his throat slamming him hard onto the floor knocking the wind out of his lungs as his friends watched in surprise.

Mel stood rigid in place knowing it was pointless to bring him out of his rage but afraid of what he would do if he wasn't stopped.
After all they had asked for it.

Each of them summed up the situation once they saw attacking him single handedly would be pointless.  Challenging him they tried their best to take him down but it was useless as he handled them aggressively with precision each man landing on his back either with a bloody nose or groaning in pain.

Mel surprised Brad by throwing him over her shoulder as he was engrossed in what was happening befriend his eyes. Shock and surprise where the main expressions followed my pain as Mel kicked him where the sun don't shine, making him cry out in pain as he stumbled to his feet. Reaching out to grab her, a quick jab to his throat (which always worked because of her height) had him gasping for air as she landed double punches, turning his head left and right with each punch. Adrenaline and anger gave her the strength she needed to land a few more punches stopping when she heard Linc speak. She made the mistake of letting her guard down as she turned to connect with Brad's fist knocking her to the ground.

"That hand," Linc growled as Brad backed away from him. "You touched what is mine. Layed you filthy hand on my wife. Had the audacity to produce saliva in that trash can you call a mouth spitting upon her. Now you dare punch her like you punch another man. Are you even a man, because let me tell you. A real man never lays a hand on a woman," Lic growled as the other men stood back up grouping up to take him once more whilst others backed away.

"And I will gladly do it gain," Brad spat as he stepped up to Linc gaining some confidence when he saw some of his buddies backing him up.
"Let me show my boys how to properly handle your kind," Brad said rolling up his sleeves wiping blood from his lips.
"Your b**ch can sure put up a fight. But I will have to teach her a thing or two about respect once I am finished with you," he smirked.
Easily blocking the punches Linc laughed at his attempts. Giving Brad swift double punches to the gut and an upward punch making his head reel backwards he laced his fingers around his neck making the man gasp for air as he struggled removing the vice grip.

It seemed time had actually passed as they heard Cas yell.
"Lincoln stop! Mel! Melinda open the door!" He banged on the door looking inside as Mel regained consciousness.
Leaving his neck he held his hand.
"Biology 101. Saliva is for lubricate your food. Digesting it. Keeping your mouth moist. We don't spit body fluids on other individuals no matter the color of their skin. Do you hear me," he growled as Brad nodded his head vigorously wincing in pain as Linc tightened his hold."You are a man are you not?" He asked as Brad nodded his head vigorously once more. "Then as a man you know to never touch what belongs to another. Never touch what is mine?" He whispered the last sentence as they heard a sickening crack as Brad cried out in pain going down on his knees holding his wrist before Linc snaked his arm around his neck cutting his air supply as the man passed out in his hands but he didn't let go.

As soon as Mel unlocked the door Cas and Walter ran forward grabbing ahold of Linc as he was about to do far worse damage to the idiot.
"Lincoln please, come back to me," Mel cried as he struggled getting free from Walter and Cas.
His rage was too intense that it took time for him to register were exactly he was as he looked around the diner before his eyes landed on Mel.
"Mel are you alright?" He asked as Walter and Cas slowly let him go.
"I should be asking you that," Mel whispered taking his bloodied hands into hers.
Looking into his eyes they slowly became normal as Mel realized he had gone too far and if not for Ken sending for help Brad would be dead right about now.

"Will you be able to handle this," Mel asked Cas just as the sheriff entered the diner fast becoming pale as he took in the scene.
"It's nothing too serious," Cas chuckle as Walter slowly led them to the car.
As they left several cars arrived at the diner; men in sharp suits hopping out as well as two doctors.

---

"Sit," Mel said as she grabbed the first aid kit.
"I'm alright sweetheart," Linc smiled.
"No Linc. Did you see what you did back there. I know they begged for it but darling you nearly killed that man. You let your anger take over," she said as he reached out to wipe away her tear.
"I'm sorry sweetheart," he said pulling her into his arms.
"Just don't let it happen again."

"I won't because you center me," he whispered.
"Why do you have to go and say sappy things when I am already crying?"
"Because I love being sappy for you," he smiled.
"Come on let me patch you up," she said between sniffles.
"Very well we said flexing his hand before she stared cleaning away the blood.
Most of it not his as Mel gently blew to numb the sting of alcohol on the bruises.

Tilting his face towards the light she cleaned up more bruises before she undid his shirt checking for any damage before she was satisfied that he was fine. All the while he sat still just watching her a smile on his face.
"What?" She asked.
"I'm just thinking how much fun it's going to be for me when I am attending to you," he grinned as Mel rolled her eyes trying to hide a smile.
"Do I look like I have been in an brawl," she chuckled as he hopped off the counter.
"With the beating you gave that little num nut back there, you look like you just got off the runway," he teased lifting her onto the counter. "But I don't want you waking up with a migraine," he said as she flinched away from him when he barely touched her cheek.
Bringing an alcohol swab to her bruised check her fingers curled around his shirt as she looked pained.
"Almost done love," he said pulling down her shirt to look at the arm Brad had been holding onto. "I should have killed him," he growled seeing the angry bruise.
"Lincoln no," Mel said in a pained voice as his features softened.
"I'm sorry," he whispered leaning down to kiss her lips.

"It's okay Linc," she said softly stroking his jawline as he calmed down. "I just want to rest now," she sighed as he scooped her up.
Feeling her become tense as he left the bed he joined her whispering. "Amour reste je suis ici."
"I love you," she said sleepily.
"I love you more," he said with a smile.

--------

A few days later

"Mon petite chaufferie," Linc murmured with a smile looking at Mel as she concentrated on the road back home.
She scoffed sending him a glare as he chuckled.
"It suits you," he said as she gave him a questioning look.
"That smart mouth of yours is going to get you trouble," she laughed.
"I accept any form of punishment," he smiled making her chuckle.

"What are we going to do about our mole and the press," she asked.
"We will deal with the mole, as for the press I have no time to satisfy other people's needs when I have my family to look after," he said in a low gruff voice that had her insides turning.
"Okay," she smiled turning to see him leaning back into his seat closing his eyes as she drove them back home.

----

Cas

After leaving Lincoln and Mel he got a lead on who had shot his friends, very few marksmen we're currently out for hire so it wasn't hard tracking the culprit down.
Walking into the classy restaurant he headed up to the bar spotting his target as soon as he entered the establishment.

"Victor," he said with a wide smile as the man turned wit a frown which quickly disappeared once he saw who it was.
"Why if it isn't the devil himself. Caspian you look good my friend," he said.
"Last time I remember us not been on friendly terms after all you slept with my mistresses," Cas said his eyes becoming cold slits as he remembered the time.
"Oh come on you had how many woman satisfying your needs, five, seven, each for a day of the week," he chuckled.
Cas frowned in disgust as he said, "You know damn straight Flora was the only one and you just had to have a taste of the forbidden fruit. Anyways that's in the past. How have you been?"
Victor chuckled grabbing his drink taking a swing of it emptying the contents.

"I am superb as you can see," he said with a smile before the bartender came and replaced his glass. "Smoke?" Victor said lighting up a cigarette.
"No thank you," Cas said. "I quite."
"Well well, things really have changed."
"Yes," Cas replied in a bored tone. "So tell me who is funding your lavish lifestyle."
"Oh after leaving your network, Marco hired me," he said making Cas smile.
"Really?"

"Yeah, I just finished an easy job had to take out some dude and his misses," he said puffing his cigar in Cas's direction.
"Hmmm, it it," Cas said nodding his head to the bartender as she started ushering everyone out of the room whilst maintaining the conversation.
"So tell me was this guy yay high, muscular, green eyes, dark hair, handsome as sin?"
"Yeah, yeah," Victor said in surprise.
"And the little lady, caramel complexion, brown eyes, dark natural hair, looked pregnant but still sexy as hell?" He said nodding for the bartender to leave whilst he shrugged off his jacket.
"Yeah, man it's like you could see right through my scope," Victor laughed too engrossed in the conversation. "Did you get an offer for the job as well?"
"Well..." Cas said as Victor cut him off.
"Too bad I got to them first," he said.

"Yes too bad indeed, especially for you my 'friend'," he said in a chilling tone that could make the North Pole feel like summer as he removed his cufflinks rolling up his sleeves. "Victor, Victor, remember what I always told you about researching your targets," he said as Victor finally noticed they were alone.
Standing up he ran to the doors swinging them open to find everyone silently enjoying their meal not paying any attention to him.
"You see the thing if your targets were family. Lincoln and Melinda Shields," she said as the cigarette fell from his lips.
"Put out your cigar Vic, we wouldn't want to start a fire like the one you already started," Cas said in the same cold tone as Victor ground the cigar out.
"Now...now..Cas. You have to listen to me. I didn't know, please," he said as sweat ran down his forehead whilst Cas walked over to him placing a hand on his shoulder stopping him from going further into the dining area.
"But I warned you countless of times Vic. Research is important. Didn't I?" He said.
Victor couldn't speak only able to nod his head yes as forks continued to connect with plates soft music playing in the background.

A swift punch to his gut had him buckling over as Cas helped him stand up straight.
"Answer me?" Cas growled.
"Yes," Victor coughed out. "I'm sorry Cas," he whispered.
"Sorry?" Cas laughed as he gave the man another punch standing him up straight once more. "Five bullets," he said as Victor's eyes widened.
"No...no..please Cas. I can fix...," he didn't finish as he received another blow.
"Ah, ah, stand up straight," Cas said leaving Victor to get some air as he gasped for it.
"Five f**kin glorious months for you before I end you," he laughed just as two of his men emerged ready to take him away.

"But first, do you know how angry I am?" He asked.
"No," Victor said shaking his head no at the same time.
"I will make a deal with you. Fight for a quicker death or stand to face five months of brutality that will have you begging to return to your mothers womb," Cas said.
"Please Caspian?" Victor begged knowing no one could ever beat Cas.
"Very well let us fight," Cas said.
Victor stood rigid in place as Cas waited for him.
"Fight me or else," Cas spat.

Victor was off his feet faster than lighting as Cas threw swift kicks to his gut before punching the man repeatedly. Let's just say he beat the crap out of Victor up to a point his body was drenched in sweat as though he had been working out.

"Remove this filth from my sight," he spat wiping his hands as his men huddled Victor dragging him out through the front door for everyone to see, everyone including the police commissioner.
"Sonia can I see you even if it's just for five minutes," he breathe into the receiver.
"Yes of course I am my thirty minute break," Sonia responded as he smiled hanging up the call.

"What happened to your hands?"
"Had a little misunderstanding with an old acquaintance."
"Is this about Linc and Mel?"
"Yeah mostly," he sighed pulling her into his arms as he felt himself calm down when she didn't push him away.
He didn't know how or why but she always seemed to calm him down no matter what.
"I have to go back to work," she murmured as he slowly released her.
"Alright. I will call you later this evening," he said with a smile.
"Okay," she smiled shyly turning to head back to work.

Heading back to his car he went to one of his clubs to discuss the pending issue of dear old Marco.

----

"Darling we are home," Mel said shaking Linc slightly as he blinked the sleep out of his eyes.
"Already? How fast were you driving?" He teased knowing they had taken much longer getting back home.
"Very fast," she giggled as they got out of the car walking towards the house.
Opening the door, they found the place cleaned up once they stepped into the living room. Mel stood frozen recalling the events of last time as she remembered the blood covering her hands as Linc lay in her arms.

"Hey, where did you go?" Linc asked noticing her staring into space.
"It's nothing," she whispered hiding her trouble with a smile for his reassurance.
"I know you were thinking about last time we were here," he said before a smile formed on his lips. "We could always redecorate with a little earth tremor here and there," he teased. "Better yet an earthquake and since the kids aren't here who know it could affect the whole house."
"You are just disgusting," she chuckled as he bellowed in laughter.
"You bring it all out of me," he said.
"Earthquake? Really? I knew your mind was far gone, but darling please retain whatever decency you have left," she said patting his cheek as he laughed at her words.
"Well I tried," Linc shrugged. "Don't ever say I didn't offer myself to you on a golden platter," he sulked.
"Whatever Linc. Just save it for someone who wants to listen to your crazy ideas," she laughed walking away from him.

----

"Ah gentlemen thank you for coming in one such short notice," Linc said as he indicated they take the available seats.
"Ken be a sport and call in Miss Wallis," he said.
A few minutes later his secretary walked in holding her iPad.
"Please have a seat, I need you to take notes," Linc said.

Mel was busy on her pc not even paying attention to what was happening.

"So after careful evaluation of the employee schedules a pattern was discovered showing those who work overtime and those who work for just the normal hours," Linc stared. "This pattern was able to reveal who had access to my personal planner as well aside from Ken," he said as the group looked at him in confusion. "Miss Wallis you would know what I am talking about right?"
"Yes sir," she smiled.
"Hmmm. Now that we know who has been dishing out private information to someone I consider and enemy, drastic measures will be taken to deal with the individual. I shall not go into details but just know it will be unpleasant for them."

"Thank you very much everyone, that's all," he said dismissing them as the secretary stayed behind.
"Who is it?" Linc asked her.
"Gideon," she said as Linc nodded his head okay and for her to continue.
What his employees did not know was that his secretary was a human lie detector and never failed. Her skill used by some of the most powerful men in the world when they could not crack their 'guests'. "Just bring him here, two minutes is all I need," she smiled as Linc picked up his phone telling his security to stop Gideon if her tried to leave.

----

Whilst Mrs Wallis dealt with Gideon, Mel and Linc were deep in a conversation of their own.
"So apparently the twins have been running circles around my dad and their aunts and uncle," Mel said as Linc sat beside her. "It seems Zach has the woman of the house wrapped around his finger," she smiled.
"That will keep his heart pumping from all that exercise," he chuckled. "And like I always say Zach takes after me," he winked.
"Hmmm yes indeed," she said all of a sudden looking sad.
"Hey I know you miss them," he said tilting her head towards him. "Soon you will be begging for some alone time," he murmured.
"I think we have had enough alone time," she whispered.
"Are you sure love," he said brushing his thumb over her lower lip.
She simply nodded her head yes as a smirk formed on his lips whilst he sat up.

"Lincoln," she whined as he chuckled taking her lips in a slow kiss. Nibbling on her lip asking for entrance to explore her she was rewarded when she finally did open up for him.
They didn't even realize someone had walked in until they heard someone clearing their throat. Choosing to ignore whoever it was for a few more seconds Mel finally broke the kiss. Linc turned to see who it was only to find Mrs Wallis and Gideon in the room.
"Sorry for disturbing," Mrs Wallis blushed.

"Please take a seat," Linc said. "So you see the thing is we have a mole and we want you to help us find who it is," she said as Mrs Wallis managed to look as cool as a cucumber but bursting with laughter on the inside feeling sorry for Gideon.
"Why certainly sir," he said with a proud smile.
"Perfect," Linc murmured.

Perfect indeed. Poor Gideon he won't see chaos coming his way soon.
